109 this morning.  We had a high of 104° yesterday and it should be the same today then cooling down quite a bit starting tomorrow with a 15-20 degree drop over the weekend.
The big news this morning appears to be hurricane Idalia hitting Florida and it looks like it will cause a lot of damage.  It made landfall just a bit ago and winds of 160 MPH are being reported. 
Type 2 since 1993.  Control with LCHF diet.

112 this mostly cloudy morning.

81° was the high yesterday. Rain and thunder didn't start until early evening. Huge downpour around midnight. Today's forecast is 65°/48° with chance of rain showers at times. Then it is supposed to dry out and warm up.

Fox Hollow (TNR) lady is going to drop off a bunch of traps today so kitties can get used to them and more willing to go into them when I cut off their food on Monday. Hopefully I will catch most of them right away. Any that have just had litters will be spayed then released to the yard as soon as done so they can continue to nurse. I think there may be 2 newly born litters right now. The ones that are still carrying kittens will be spayed and the litters will die in the process. Sad, but must be done. As it is, there will be more needing fixing if there are new litters already here. I will be glad when it is all finished!

I read this morning that it has weakened. Hope there is not too much damage.

118 this cloudy morning.

65° was the high yesterday with just a few sprinkles scattered throughout the day. House was so chilly in evening I turned the furnace on just high enough to take the chill off.

Today's forecast is 77°/49° and cloudy. Warming up for a few days then rain again starting Sun or Mon. It feels more like Fall already.

Feel nervous about the kitties and I think they are picking up on my anxiety. Hoping we can get most of them Monday and then any stray ones soon after. I didn't realize how stressful this was going to be for me!

Last I read the hurricane in FL had only been downgraded from Cat 5 to Cat 4 but maybe there is more current news. I hope there aren't a lot of deaths related, they are more used to dealing with hurricanes there than we are so hopefully everyone got out safely. Property is sure to be damaged from the looks of the waves I saw on the news last night.

I will be so happy when internet is restored!!

103 this morning.  We had a high of 104° yesterday and it should be around 102° today then cooling down quite a bit starting tomorrow by around 10°. 
The hurricane has passed through Florida and there was damage and flooding but so far just two deaths reported and that was people driving in the storm.  Yeah they are used to hurricanes in Florida but this area it passed through had not seen a hurricane for 100 years so maybe not as used to it as some.  It did cause problems but I don't think it was as bad as they thought it may be.

107 this partly cloudy morning.

High yesterday was 72°, today's forecast is 83°/53° with some clouds.

Need to run a quick errand then staying put over the weekend. Hope my internet comes back sooner rather than later!!

102 this morning.  We had a high of 101° yesterday and today it should be about 10° cooler and then stay around there over the holiday weekend.  It is the Labor Day holiday which signals the end of Summer for a lot of the country and it will be cooler here also but still good for outdoor grilling. 
Hope your internet is back soon Barbara that is a bummer.  Since I have switched my provider to a new company with fiber and all new equipment I have had no problems and hope it stays that way.

Went out and ran a few errands, it seems internet is back!! I saw one of their trucks pulling out from a side street on my way home and was hoping that was a good sign. Will see yesterday I had it for 15 mins before it went out again.

and so on ...

110 this partly cloudy morning. Same as bedtime reading...was I steady all night? Kind of doubt it, but curious the two readings are the same...

72° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 88°/51° with possible showers ofter midnight spilling into Sunday morning.

Nice to have internet back, I can go back to normal routines. Only a few days left until the trapping begins. Feeling guilty, but they will be better for it in the long run.

86 this morning.  We had a high of 92° yesterday and it is supposed to be 88° today with the chance of a shower or two but it is not a big chance although there is a lot of clouds out there. 
Yeah I have been quite unhappy when my internet has gone down and using my phone is not a good replacement but I have been pretty happy with my new provider so I hope I don't have to deal with it in the future.  It is amazing how we have become so reliant on this service.

We don't have many internet outages, this one was a lot longer than any usual one. I'm hoping maybe they replaced cables which hopefully will cut down any further outages.

121 this cloudy morning. I. attribute some of that to stress, over the kitties and partly for next week's colonoscopy. Will be so glad when they both are over...

79°was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 71°/55°. with. clouds and occasional rain showers throughout the day. At least the fires have benefitted from the rain, most are almost fully contained and they are in clean up phase. I. think Fall is here early though Summer is not over until Sept 23.

Going to be doing a pretty big shopping on Amazon today, shopping always helps my stress...  ~ cat ~
