97 this drizzly morning.

Missed the high yesterday, it was somewhere in the very low 60's. Today's forecast is 60°/39° with light rain in the morning and cloudy afternoon.

Argh! I must have a sign on my back that says "Make everything she tries ultra frustrating and difficult"!!

I called the AT&T store and they gave me a link to unlock my phone. It asked me to sign in. That failed. Not long ago I had that problem with the scammer and my app was frozen by AT&T and the password was changed to some random #'s that I could reset if I wanted to use the app, which I never did anyway. So I couldn't get in online the suggestion was go through the app...great! Well after going round and round online trying to change my password I went to the app and there changed my pw and easy peasey got the unlock approved. Then the notes say I have to insert new sim card to complete unlock...printed out that page and will take it to Consumer Cellular next week and hopefully it will finally work. Yay for having a printer!!

Everything lately has been harder than it should be and it is driving me crazy! Once phone is changed, I am not changing anything else!!

On a good note did catch one itty bitty kitty yesterday!  ~ cat ~

Quick edit: I added Chrome's adblocker yesterday. One forum I use is loaded with ads and this really helped. Hope it doesn't cause any other problems!

Snap Barbara, 97 here this morning also.  We had a high of 93° yesterday and it is supposed to be about the same today.  It is still pretty warm for Fall but it is supposed to start cooling down next week.  I am hoping so, this is nice but I would like to see more Fall like temps.
I feel your pain Barbaa.  Sometimes these devices are nothing but a pain.  My new iPhone setup should have been easy and it mostly was but the new digital sim somehow failed to work so it took me about 20 min. with customer service to get it working.  A while back my Windows desktop got corrupted and it just went to heck.  I have backups on a separate drive and thought no problem but the backups were corrupted also,  I have no idea how that happened but I had to reinstall Windows to get it working.  Fortunately almost all of my files were intact and all I had to do was reinstall some of my programs.  On the plus side everything is working much better now so a reset was probably a good thing but very time consuming.
I got my flu shot and covid booster yesterday and I feel better with that.  No side effects except my arm that had the covid booster is a bit sore today and that is how it has been in the past.

Yeah, sometimes I think I was born out of my time...I'm an old fashioned type gal!

I added to my post after you like it..I added Chrome's extension for AdBlocker. Seems to be working, just hope it doesn't cause other problems.

Since I upgraded to Sonoma my battery runs out really fast, hope this helps that,

Well, I try to stat up with the newer tech but sometimes it does get to be a problem.  I haven't noticed any problem with my MacBook battery but I am not on it that much and keep the battery charged.  I spent most of my time on my Windows desktop and it is on house current so no battery.  I did have a problem with my iPhone battery on the new iPhone 15 and it turned out to be my Norton app that was using a huge amount of power doing who knows what so I deleted it and all is normal now.  On the phone you can go to the settings and go to the battery and see what is using the most power.  I am not sure how to do it on the Mac but there is probably a way.

I just looked at my MacBook and if you go to settings and then screen time it may show you what is using the most power.  The problem I had was that Norton was running in the background and I didn't even know it was running.  The screen time may show you if something is running that you don't know about.  Then you can stop or delete it.

Interestingly enough, now with the Chrome extension AdBlocker installed my battery is doing much better. It is now 3:20PM by now before the blocker, I would have had to charge at least once from around 10% form the 100% first thing in the morning. Now at 3:21PM I am only down to 50% used. The ads were eating my battery alive!! The Primetimer forum I use is literally loaded with ads that are now gone and the site runs better too. I resisted the blocker for a long time, for no real reason, but now am so glad I installed it!!

There must be something in Sonora that made the battery more sensitive to the ads? I didn't have this problem while still using Mojave.

Both and many had sound that would startle me every time. Some you couldn't even close, no "x" on them at all. They are all gone now and my battery is back to normal. I think there must be something very ad sensitive in the Sonora upgrade that needs the blocker to rectify... That is all I can think of.

115 this dark morning. It is 30° now after feeding the kitties. Water in their dishes was frozen. brrr and that is not any where near as cold as it will be in the dead of Winter!

Already enjoying my new warm clothes! With all these cats now, I am not looking forward to the snow this Winter! I just don't know how to keep them all warm enough...

94 this morning.  We had a high of 92° yesterday and it should be about the same today.
That is interesting Barbara I have never noticed this on my MacBook but then I don't really use it that much so I don't really have a comparison.
I am really having a problem that I blamed on my new phone.  I didn't know it because I just assumed that it was connected to WiFi but it wasn't and it was using cellular for anything I was doing on it.  I got my new bill from CC and I had used a huge amount of data on my cellular bill and got put into the next level which adds to the cost and then realized that I was not connected to WiFi so I tried to log into my modem and it would not recognize the password so I tried a few more times and no success.  I figured it must be a problem with my phone so I spent over an hour with Apple support and nothing worked so I was referred to a higher source and they called and I went through more trying their suggestions and one thing was to try with my iPad which was connected to my WiFi and she had me shut down the iPad and restart it ant then when I tried to connect it I got the same response and it would not recognize the password.  I know the correct password and used it but it will not recognize the password so now my phone and the iPad are not connected to WiFi, jeeze!  The result was that it must be a problem with the modem so now I have to get hold of my provider and see if they can sort it out.  My desktop is connected by an ethernet cable so no problem there and my MacBook is still connected by WiFi as long as I don't change anything so another day of trying to get help from another customer service rep if I can.  Just like you were having with getting the printer set up Barbara sometimes you just want to throw the stuff out the window!  My phone works just fine as a phone and I turned off cellular data so I don't keep running up my bill but this sucks.

Man Wally! I really do feel your pain! Just got my  AT&T bill for the last month and it went from $77 to $138 thanks to all the data usage! At least Century Link had the decency to give me a credit for the outage time on my last bill so I paid $18.33 instead of $40.99. I gleefully pay the $65 for new service which will be offset when I switch to Consumer Cellular. Keep me posted on your issue just in case I decide to go with a new phone...

My printer has no idea how close it was to a long ride in the garbage truck!!  ~ cat ~

Well a call to my service provider sorted out my problem.  Somehow the password for my WiFi was changed so the router would not recognize the password that the installer setup when the system was installed.  I was able to get the password that it now uses and signed in to WiFi with no problem.  Why it changed I have no idea but it did.  I guess it must have reverted back to the original password the router had and did not recognize the password the installer put in but I now have the one that works now and both my phone and the iPad are connected.   Sometimes these machines have a mind of their own!

yeah, it was really strange.  When the service tech originally installed my service and set up the modem he said he could use the same password that I.  It didn't come to light until I got the  had been using with my old modem so I wouldn't have to change anything so I said sure and he did.  it has worked just fine for the last few months since it was installed so I never gave it a thought until I got the new phone and I mistakenly thought it was connected and was stupid for not paying attention to the fact that the WiFi bars were not showing and not knowing that all data was being used by cellular.  Why the modem decided to switch back to the password that was originally on the modem is unknown, even the provider tech had no answer but it did and I was able to get it all working and that is all that was needed.  I was lucky that I had installed the app on my phone from the provider and that was where I was able to view the password it wanted.  Just a heads up, if you go to Consumer Cellular they have different levels of data you can opt in for and as I rarely use more than 1 GB of data I have the lowest in my plan but when I went over it automatically bumps you up to the next plan and charges for it. That is OK and I understand but it leaves you there unless you call and have it set back to your original plan.  I thought it would automatically reset back but I called and found out that you have to call and change it back.
Now the phone is working just great and I can go back to exploring it and what features it has.  My main interest and the reason I went with the pro model is cameras and what is possible with them.
