Good point re the data on Consumer Cellular. I will pay attention, but I rarely if ever use data on my phone...except for the Century Link fiasco. With the new service, I don't see any problem with just 1G - is it per month? Far better than AT&T's 1160MB/mo that went away ea month...ugh!

I'm trying to wrack my brains on the issue you faced Wally. It is really strange that your modem started to use a pw on it's own and I am trying to figure out what could have caused it or how that can happen. Strange behavior for sure, just my attachments from the Quotes thread sometimes getting added in here as a Thumbnail.

127 this cold morning. Slept late, so frazzled to start out the day.

Anxious kitties wanting to be fed, 30° outside and frozen water dishes. Rush, rush, rush...

62° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 76°/44°. It is supposed to be warming the next few days and then the "s" word is in the forecast for next week...yep, snow!!

Caught one of the littles yesterday hoping to get a buddy or two for him today. They called me back, he weighed in at all of 1.5 lbs so they think he is maybe 5 weeks old. She thinks he will be tame-able and will get him a home, thank goodness! I just don't get where all these "littles" are coming from. I guess all the feral cats locally have found the "food kitchen" here and are bringing me their babies to feed. The OG mama has been feeding a new crop of 5 and she was fixed 9/5 so they aren't her's.  Guess once her's were weaned she moved on to whatever kitties she could find. She is a good mama, I have to give her that! But man, is there no end to this???

83 this morning.  We had a high of 92° yesterday and it is supposed to get to 95° today and tomorrow then it should start to cool down a bit.  Still waiting for more Fall like weather.
Yeah SKB it is really strange for sure and the CS rep from my provider didn't have an answer either.  Even stranger yesterday my Windows desktop disconnected from the internet after I had been on it for a couple of hours in the morning and it is connected by an ethernet cable to the modem but I had to sign back into the modem with the new password.  Fortunately I had installed the providers app on my phone and it showed the password it was using so I was able to get everything back to working.  These machines seem to have a mind of their own sometimes. 
Yeah Barbara my plan is 1 GB per month with unlimited talk and text.  The plan cost is $20 per month plus the usual taxes and fees so it is somewhere around $23-24 per month.  If you are an AARP member you get a slight discount of 10%.

If you go over the plan you have it isn't too bad you are just bumped up to the next plan so if you are at 1 GB and use say 2 GB it just bumps you up to the next plan so $5 more.  Before I realized that I wasn't connected to WiFi I had used 7GB of data so I was bumped up to the 10 GB plan that was $35 a month so it cost me another $15 but if I went over the 10GB it would put ne in the unlimited plan for $50 a month so that is the most it would cost but like I said if that happened you would need to call and have your plan changed back to the previous plan or it would stay there.

Wow! that is a lot less than AT&T!! I'm going to go town next Monday and get signed up with Consumer Cellular. I don't belong to AARP, but it still is a much better deal than I have right now!

From talking with people that have the internet service I have now, 1GB will be more than enough. I never used any data before C-L went to he!! in a hand basket!

116 this morning. It is at least a bit warmer, 34° (LOL, ya take what you can get!).

Yesterday's high was 69° not near what they were predicting, but it was a nice day. Today's forecast is 75°/43° and nice again. The "s" word is still around for next week though.

The husband from TNR came out yesterday to try to fix the auto trap. Right now it is hooked up to my house power which limits where I can put it. When I set it up today, I'll see if I can get it a bit further away from the house. I sure want to catch more of these "littles" the single I did catch is very lonely w/out some buddies and I don't want it to stop eating from loneliness. So far they say he is doing OK.

Almost light enough to begin the morning feeding routine!!

106 this morning.  We had a high of 96° yesterday and it is supposed to be 95° today.  Starting tomorrow it is supposed to start cooling down and we may get into the 70s next week.  It has been nice but I am looking forward to cooler weather. 
Yeah I never go over the 1 GB of data on my phone with the exception I just had before I got it connected to the WiFi.  On my internet service I have unlimited data that is just part of the plan. 
I have been viewing some tutorials on using the cameras on my new iPhone 15 Pro and there is a lot to learn if you want to use all of the features that they have. It is easy to just take a picture or a short video with the default settings and I am sure that is what most will do but there is so much more available and it is truly amazing how much there is that you can do.  These little devices can rival larger cameras and are so small and easy to carry you always have a very capable camera and video camera in your pocket.

I will look at the 15 but size is really a factor for me. I don't know how much longer my 7 is going to. last or be supported with updates so that is a factor too. Decisions, decisions, decisions!

I have a very nice regular camera I used to photo for eBay. I haven't touched it nowadays just use the camera on my phone... poor camera companies are probably loosing a lot of business from the. regular guy that just wants to take random photos/videos!

123 this chilly, dark morning. Still paying for dinner last night I suppose.

Yesterday was really a beautiful day!  I didn't get exact temp as was busy outside but it was around 70°. Today's forecast is 72°/47° still nice, weather man says maybe rain tomorrow but none of the weather sites or app on mac say anything about rain until maybe Wed. As usual, just wait and see what actually comes...

Ended up catching 2 "littles" kittens yesterday. TNR lady says actually she is going to tame them and find homes so they are gone for good. Good for them, though I was kind of sad to see them go. All 4 I have caught in the last few days will be gone, I hope to good homes. Still several "littles"  and a few bigger kittens to wrangle but I am tired today so may take the day off.

Looking forward to getting phone service squared away and maybe a new phone... Monday will be the day.

79 this morning, just salad for dinner last night.  We had a high of 96° yesterday but it is supposed to begin cooling down a bit now but still in the low 80s to high 70s.
You can still use your iPhone 7 for some time and make a change any time you want.  I am a tech junkie and always want to get something new but I do like to get upgrades and new features.  Sa far as size the standard iPhones like the 14 or 15 are not really that much bigger than your 7  and I don't think you would notice the difference and I find them even more comfortable than my 7.

120  this dark, cold morning, (can't see thermometer yet but expect it is 32° or lower). Aches are returning sadly...

Having to ration out the meloxicam as 30 day rx won't last until I can refill.  (Took 1st pill of 30, 10/2 when got in the mail, I can't refill until 11/11, with transit time I won't get them until about 11/19 or so.) I only took one a day and it really helped. Called dr but she never returned call. The overall pain is back and I am not a happy camper! Will call her again Monday.

High yesterday that I caught was 66° though one site says it was 76° "shrug". Today's forecast is 66°/42° and cloudy. Snow and much colder temps predicted for Wed... Have to get busy making more shelters for kitties.

Didn't catch any littles yesterday, took the day off. Now with the bad weather coming, I've got to try to get them all taken care of. 4 left in side yard and 4 in front yard colonies. Side yard ones are really tiny so will work on them first. May have to put off trip to town Monday if I haven't at least gotten the tiny "littles".  Rats!

105 this morning.  We had a high of 92° yesterday and it is finally going to cool down and it is supposed to be 84° today then in the 70s next week.
When I got my 32 inch desktop monitor I thought it was really big and still do and I like it a lot but now they are advertising a 49 inch monitor and to me that is crazy!  I mean I pulled out my tape measure and that would take most of the width of my desk.  I wonder where it will go from here.

How large will they go? Probably, just like the TVs, as large as people will keep buying them!!

I might at some point go up to the 15" MacBookAir but that is about it for me personally...
