Quote from: walkerwally1 on November 04, 2023, 10:51:11 AM92 this morning.  We had a high of 82° yesterday and it should be the same today.  Overnight low was 42° so a 40° swing.
Yeah $50 a month with unlimited data is not that bad.  With CC my bill is $26 a month but I have unlimited calling and text but my data is limited to 1 GB per month.  That is the plan I chose as I don't normally use any more than that.  If I wanted unlimited data it would be as high as your AT&T bill.  If you were signing up to AT&T as a new customer it would be a bit higher with unlimited data starting at $65 a month. If I wanted or needed unlimited data I would consider it but CC uses AT&T cell towers so the service is the same but for me it costs less.

It isn't bad for the time being. I am going to change to CC at some point. For now, I don't have to make a special trip up to town to do it. It is higher than a plan I would get on CC, but still much lower than what I was getting from AT&T.

One lesson I learned is that now I have a printer again, to print out copies of auto pay bills at least periodically to verify what I am paying for is what I get/want.

I print out all copies of my accounts and bills, just a habit but I don't have any of them on automatic payment.  A couple of years ago I had a bill on autopay and they processed it one day after the due date and charged me for a late payment.  When I called them I got nowhere and it was their system that was late.  The customer rep was no help and insisted it was just too bad and it was their system that did it!  I took that and all auto pay off all of my accounts.  I have a list of all of my accounts and pay them myself and check to make sure that it was recorded then check  it off of my list.  Maybe a bit of overkill but I feel better about it.  Then I have a lot of time to do this myself and I do believe that autopay is a benefit for someone that is busy.

I've never had any problems like that with auto pay. In fact every bill I have on auto pay also sends a paper copy except for AT&T. After seeing the printout I made, it makes me wonder why they don't send paper too. Maybe people will realize what they are actually paying for, may not jive with what they think they think they are paying for.

I just thought I was paying for phone service, not also cellular for my iPad. Plus somehow they could have made the info that newer plans were much better than the old one I had. There have to be more like me out there that once I have a service, I don't go shopping around for something else....my bad I guess...

128 this morning.  I hate the time change!

Yesterday's high was 48° with a few light showers. Today's forecast

...Yikes! Cats knocked over something on porch! Time out to feed the herd! 39° outside

Back.. Today's forecast is 51°/33° cloudy, a bit of sun and a few showers. Only thing missing is snow...thank goodness! Some showers and then should have a few nicer days.

No plans for today. Need to do some tidying up and start gathering garbage for pick up tomorrow. Just want to take it easy today. Body clock takes a couple of days to adjust to the time change, I know I am going to feel a bit ragged today and maybe even tomorrow.

102 this morning.  We had a high of 80° yesterday and they are predicting 85° today.  Starting tomorrow it is supposed to be cooling down and we should be in the high 60s.
I actually enjoyed the extra hour this morning and took advantage of it by sleeping for an additional hour.  Falling back an hour is a lot easier for me to adjust but I miss the longer daytime at night.  Some of my clocks automatically adjust to the time change but I spent a while changing the ones that don't like the timer on the coffee maker.  That one is important!

115 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 51° and mostly dry. Today's forecast is 49°/35°, mostly cloudy with some showers later in the day.

I didn't realize how much I had missed having a printer! Instead of just bookmarking things I want to have I can just print them out...my recipe file is going to be growing again!!

86 this morning.  We had a high of 82° yesterday and it is supposed to start cooling down this week but still in the low 70s to high 60s.
Yeah I guess I am old school but I print out things so I have a paper copy to use.  Like a recipe, you could just put it on your tablet or laptop and put that in your kitchen and read it from there but I won't do that and print out the recipe and use that.  People nowadays probably are more used to just use the tablet or even phone, I just can't do that.
Off in a bit for a Mohs surgery for a skin cancer on my face, ugh!  It is on the side near my sideburn so not too bad and the nurse said it looked like it wasn't too deep so maybe not that bad.  I have had so many of these I guess I should be used to it by now and I am mostly still, it is cutting into you and that is never fun,

Hope all goes smoothly with the Mohs surgery and healing is quick!!

Yeah, no way am I mixing my iPad/laptop/phone with any cooking processes in the kitchen!! Way too many things can and for me would go wrong!! As it has been, w/out printer, I'd save recipe then open it on laptop and go back and forth from kitchen to laptop in living room to check things... dumb but at least laptop was safe.  LOL, I'll lose steps now, but oh well!

125 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 46° with periods of rain. Today's forecast is 46°/36° mostly cloudy a few showers early then possibly. in the evening. Then supposedly dry for a week...emphasis on supposedly I think.

Cat houses soaked again need to refresh today. I wish I could come up with something better...

84 this morning.  We had a high of 79° yesterday but it is supposed to be 70° today so cooling down and it looks like we will be in the high 60s for the next few days.  There is a chance of rain a few days from now but too far out to be relied on.
Surgery went well yesterday but it took two cuts to get it all and that took a long time between the cuts so I was there for over 4 hours.  I was tired after I got home and the site doesn't hurt but I did have a headache and I did take a couple of Tylenol for it which I rarely do.  I went to bed early but didn't really sleep that well but I am feeling pretty good now.  I am pretty used to these surgeries but it being on the side of my head makes it a bit worse.
Yeah with the weather you are having and will be having this winter you probably do need a better solution.  The shed you were talking about is maybe a choice but I know it is going to take some work.

For sure the shed is the best solution, but it is a major, major job to get it inhabitable!! A couple people have said sure they'd help but then disappear and say they can't right now. There is no way I can do it alone especially quickly enough for this Winter.

I will see if I can get my handyman to do some work there, but he too seems to have disappeared with several jobs on my list that he agreed to do.

It is painfully hard to find consistent helpers around here. I guess it may be hunting season right now and that eats up the weekends which was when my handyman worked...  I'm down. to only 2 reliable service people at this point, my bug people and my pump guy...frustrating...

124 this dark morning.

Yesterday's high was 49° a few scattered showers. Today's forecast is 46°/25° cloudy with periods of sun. Forecast looks dry for the next 9 days, sure hope this one is accurate!!

Man, just feeding all these cats is a full time job!! And my goodness do they eat a lot! I see them carrying mice around many times a day so it isn't as if they can't find their own food, but they scarf down what I give them like they are starving! Hopefully the dry weather will allow me some time to work out better shelters...

ETA:  28° when I went out to feed the kitties!

Need to call today to schedule my liver MRI, that is going to mean another trip to town in the near future. ugh!

99 this morning.  We had a high of 70° yesterday and it is supposed to be about the same for the rest of the week then cooling down a bit next week with maybe a chance of some rain and snow in the mountains.  I would love to see it!  I did get a better time sleeping last night and the surgery has been healing nicely.
I don't have any plans for today but maybe finishing up my cleaning chore.

126 this cold morning.

46° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 45°/27° mostly clear, may have light shower in the evening. Nice few more days, wish it would warm up a bit more!

Well, bad luck seems to be following me. Woke up this morning, and furnace appears to have quit in the middle of the night. Slight smell of gas. Tried turning furnace off and then back on but no luck so turned it off totally. $hit!!

I have a couple small space heaters to use, will call gas co. as soon as I think there is someone there. If they can't do anything, I sure hope I can get a furnace person out asap.

....Just went and tried turning furnace back on...and it came on! Phew!! But still faint gas smell so will call gas company.

It is 19° outside, (7:20AM)  just can't go out yet to feed kitties.  I'm already too chilled,,,

84 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 68° and today should be the same.  Still showing a chance of rain next week but it is still too far out to rely on.  Yesterday I said that I was going to finish my cleaning up chore, well that didn't happen.  Maybe today.
Wow Barbara, you surely need your heater to work with those temps.  Hope you can get it fixed soon.  If you are smelling gas I surely would want it checked out.  That odor is put in to alert you that there is a leak.
