Yeah, with you on that! I've never been a Black Friday shopper. I will check Amazon and see if anything on my Shopping list is on sale. Never have ordered anything from Walmart. I assume they ship? Might check them out, still looking for flannel pj bottoms...

Yes Walmart does ship and they even have a membership where you get shipping free like Amazon Prime with an annual subscription but since the Walmart store is only a mile down the road from me I never joined it but I have had a purchase shipped to me when it was not available at the store or on Amazon and they do have free shipping when the purchase is over a certain amount but I don't remember what that was, $35 I think.

These are purely American concepts and I have grown up without hearing these terms. So, I was quite amazed at all the online platforms advertising aggressively for this Black Friday Sale. We're catching up.

Online there in India!!  Sad, that is not something I would be proud to export. Here if you go to a store in person to shop, people are so rude, pushing, shoving, whatever it takes to get the "prized item". It is awful! At least online you don't get that part of it. Now Cyber Monday is part of it too. That is devoted to online sales...

I looked on Amazon briefly and there was nothing I wanted or needed, no matter what the discount.

118 this cold morning.

Yesterday's high barely hit 32°. Today's forecast is 43°/13° and clear. Another couple very cold days then warming up some.

I had to keep going out and pouring hot water in kitties bowls to thaw it out. What was left of the heated wet food in the morning quickly froze. Side yard kitties have it worst as the sun barely hits that side of the house (North facing) these days. I feel so bad for all the kitties, they all are big balls of fur so nature is helping some but still wish I could do more....

This summer, shed refurbish is top priority!

99 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 62° and the overnight low was 40° so getting cooler but not cold and nothing like you are seeing Barbara.  We have been getting overnight freeze warnings but not close yet.
The "Black Friday" sales started years ago before on line shopping became popular and because so many people were home on Friday after Thanksgiving retailers saw an opportunity to entice those people to get out into their stores and shop.  Later online retailers started "Cyber Monday" to get their buyers shopping. Now it all joins together and Black Friday runs for days before and after.  I think it will run clear into Christmas.
I have been reading the articles about the 41 workers caught in the tunnel in India that have been stuck in there since 11/12 and the struggle to get them out.  The machine being used has broken and they are using hand tools now.  They have air, water and food but it can't be fun.  Hopefully they are out soon.

I hadn't heard about that! How terrible! I'll have to check google for an article. I don't normally watch the news...usually too depressing. I just tune in for the weather report an that is it.

I do check the news every day.  It is good and bad but I still want to keep up in what's happening in the world and close to home. I don' get depressed by it, what is going to happen is going to happen but at least I will  have an idea what is going on.

Yes, it appears to be a never ending saga with something or the other happening to stop them being successfully extracted. But it will happen.

I did look it up and read an article about the collapse. At least they are able to get air and food to those that are trapped and medical is standing by to help too. It does sound as if they will be rescued and probably in fairly OK health thank goodness. It is just going to take much longer than expected.

124 this cold morning. Feeling the cold more this year and it hasn't even been as bad as it can be...yet. Guessing it is the weight I have lost and getting older combined.

Yesterday's high was 30° though the sun was shining it was cold. Today's forecast is 36°/15° and clear. Maybe the cat's water will stay thawed better today.

Looking forward to seeing the TNR people tomorrow. I really want to get the best shelters made that I can. I'm also going to call the furnace people tomorrow and see if they will save me some of the big square boxes as they are so much more heavy duty then regular shipping boxes from Chewy or Amazon.

Going to take it as easy as possible today, don't know what tomorrow will bring.

ETA: 9° when I fed kitties.

105 this morning.  We had a high of 59° yesterday and an overnight low of 30° so it did get to freezing but didn't stay there long.  Looking for a high of 62° today and it is supposed to be around the low 60° mark for the next few days.
I am going to take Barbaras advice and take it easy today.
Hope those guys are out o that tunnel soon, It can't be fun.

127 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 32° and sunny. Just warm enough to start melting the smaller water dishes enough for me to empty and refill them easily. Today's forecast is 39°/14°. Hope so! A slightly warmer temp will make working outside a bit more bearable.

Garbage to road only other chore for the day.

8° when I went out to feed kitties. Wally, please. send some of that warm weather this way!! LOL

101 this morning.  Late to the party today, I got busy doing other things.  We had a high of 55° yesterday and an overnight low of 30° but it is supposed to warm up a little bit and the predicted high today is 60° and it should be around that for the next few days.
Barbara I wish I could send warmer weather your way!  To me this is cold but your temps are way colder.

Maybe some day it would be possible for man to 'make' uniform weather all over the globe. For now, if you need some heat, take it from here. Our minimums are in the 70os
