141 this morning.

I know it is stress related, not about MRI but about disrupting kitties feeding and replenishing water in the morning. They usually get a refresh around 9:30-10AM. Also the TNR people never showed up or called yesterday and that stresses me because it is so cold at night outside...

Leaving at 9AM for hospital, that gives me time for morning feeding, but by the time I get back early afternoon, their water will be frozen again. I used to not mind Winter so much, but now with all these little lives to worry about I'm beginning to hate it!

5° outside!

105 this morning.  We had a high of 61° yesterday and an overnight low of 30° so right where the predictions are.  Pretty normal for this time of year.
Yeah Barbara you have a real challenge trying to deal with that low of temps and having to manage the herd.
The cauliflower pizza crust I have been getting is called Rustic Crust.  It is cauliflower based so it does have some wheat in it also so that probably helps the taste.  The serving size is 1/5 of the total crust so it is imagined that you would cut the pizza into 5 pieces but I cut it into 4 pieces and one piece is plenty for me but I put a lot of vegies and cheese and pepperoni on it.  I do pretty well with that.
Hope all goes well with the MRI today.

Thanks Wally! I'll put it on my grocery list and look for it. I didn't go to Walmart, just went to York's Fresh Market which is right by the hospital for the cat food. I didn't want to drive all over town today. As it was, all the water bowls were frozen and so was any left over wet food when I got back.

MRI went fine as always. Results in a few days. 1:35PM and it is all of 29° outside here.

Yesterday's high was 30° and despite a forecast of 38°/17° for today, I doubt it will get that warm.

I have never understood the "few days" system. The results are instantaneous and the radiologist is competent enough to interpret them.

Well, I got a message the this afternoon that test results were in my hospital portal. They were there, a bunch of medical text and info but it apparently is "raw" data. A note on the bottom of the page says "Results have not yet been reviewed by care team." I guess these results are just the tech's review of the images, my dr has not yet reviewed and "deciphered" it for me. I guess that is where the time comes in. Yes, results are there right away, but they have to be reviewed by the dr. That's what I take it to mean anyway...

129 this morning.

Yesterday's high was again 30°, but clear and sunny. Today's forecast is 37°/19° and fair. May see light rain/snow on Saturday...I can wait!

I really have to force myself to go out to feed the kitties these cold frosty mornings. But I feel so sorry for them in the cold, I try to get them their warm food and water as soon as it is at least light out. But I have to be so careful because it is so slippery out there this early the last thing I need is another bad fall!

ETA: 5° when I went out to feed kitties. 2 loud explosions just before I went out!  Don't see any signs of anything nearby but they were thunderous. Will have to check News morning and noon to see what happened.

90 this morning. We had a high of 65° yesterday so a bit warmer and an overnight low of 32° so right at the freezing temp. but only for a short time.   It's clear and sunny and no wind so it will be pretty nice today.
Yeah I get the results from any tests I have on the Hospital app and sometimes I can understand the results given by the tech pretty well but I do wait to hear from my doctor to get her interpretation and often it is a much better idea of what it means to me.  Sometimes the result is not near as alarming as the first result.  I think that because the doctor knows you it makes sense to let doctor make the decision on what the results mean for you.
Good news yesterday that the 41 workers were brought out from the tunnel cave-in in India.  That was quite an ordeal.

137 this morning. Fell asleep last night and forgot bedtime reading.

They keep predicting 34° as high and it keeps only getting to 30° here. As it did again yesterday. Today they say 33°/22° with possible snow flurries early morning and late night. The weatherman says any snow we'll get down in the valley will be very light. So far none that I can see. Not looking forward to snow of any kind, the cold is one thing, but when it comes to being wet and having to shovel too it borders on too much for me.

Not a word about the loud noise I heard yesterday morning. It literally shook my house! I really thought a propane tank somewhere near has exploded. Now my second guess is it was a sonic boom. To my memory never been one here before, but I have read mention of seeing jets overhead on Nextdoor app. Weird...

The TNR people promise they will be here today with the straw. They are also going to bring some cat food. I keep saying I can manage, but they say they have many generous donors/volunteers and they can well afford to help me out. These people are truly gems! Hopefully I haven't spoiled my kitties so much they won't eat a lesser quality food. It will help me though, my cat food costs now are around $400/month. I can see why some people abandon/surrender their animals. It is a lot of money.

This will be a busy day, hopefully all goes well and quickly.

A "balmy" 12° at feeding time this morning. LOL

111 this morning.  We had a high of 61° yesterday and it is going to be the same today.  Still no rain in sight and they are using snow making machines in the ski resorts because of no natural snow.  Hoping there will be some soon.
That is a to spend on feeding all of those  kitties.  I hope you can find a home for some.

140 this morning. Think most of it is from totally disrupted schedule last night... never the less, it is what it is...

High yesterday was 20° a far cry from the forecast of 32°! Today's forecast is 37°/26° cloudy a possibly a tiny bit of snow.

I put some straw in some of the kitties boxes last night, but don't know if they used them. The one box I can see out the kitchen slider was empty still when I went to bed. However, they haven't been using that box much anyway lately. I'll check the others after they eat. I am pretty sure it will take them a bit to get used to. He also brought a large cooler that he cut a smallish hole in the front side for a shelter. It had ice in it so had to clean it up last night. I'll put straw in it and put it out today and see what they think of it. He swears by them and says they really heat up from kitty body heat. I'll try anything at this point!

Stiff and sore and my left hand was really itchy last night and still is today. Wonder if I have a bit of an allergy to the straw??? Great...NOT!

Today has to be an easy day, I don't want to put too much more stress on my back.

ETA: Wow! 19° this morning when I went out!!

105 this morning.  I had the cauliflower pizza last night, did pretty good with it and it was good.  We had a high of 61° again yesterday and it is supposed to be the same today and tomorrow.  There is going to be a lot of rain from an "atmospheric river" that is going to affect the North West so Washington and Oregon and a small  part of Northern California are going to see a lot of rain but not going to get this far South.  I don't know how it will affect Montanna.

Long range weather forecast for here is some very light snow Sat. and light showers sun. through wed. then some snow next thur. and fri. Nothing really heavy noted so far. It could be from your atmospheric river, I don't know. But wet weather is coming...

139 this lightly snowing morning.

Yesterday's high was 35°, it was nice to have more sun than clouds. Today's forecast is 36°/28° with periods of snow flurries. Some flurries tomorrow and then cloudy until Wed then showers/flurries for 2 days and then back to some sun and dry. Typical for this time of year, but at least it is somewhat warmer!

Only thing on agenda is some laundry. Hoping I don't have to do much more than just push the light layer of snow off the porches and no lifting.

102 this morning.  We had a high of 65° yesterday and an overnight low of 32° but only for about an hour then warming back up a bit.  Same for today .I got my laundry done yesterday and nowadays that is probably my biggest chore.  I sure don't miss shoveling snow when up on the mountain.  It was worse the day after when it had frozen and turned to ice. We were lucky that a neighbor had a John Deere tractor, yard size, that we could borrow and that was a bit help.  We still had to use the hand shovels for the walkway from the house to the back garage.

22° when I went out to feed kitties. Under an inch of light snow. By the time I got the feedings done, I had trampled it down a lot, but by afternoon I should be able to scrape what remains off the porches.

I'm not going anywhere until Monday and hopefully by then there shouldn't be too much snow on the ground. Sometimes when the snow is really bad, my neighbor will come over and clear my drive way. He does most of the road to my house as his parking area is right next to me and his customers have to be able to get there. So mostly the road is OK to drive.

I hear rumors that El Niño is going to make for less snow this Winter, but others say it will mean more snow...who to believe???? Guess I'll just believe what I actually see!!
