Well, from what I have read El Niño is not an absolute for anywhere.  It usually means more rain and snow for the West and drier conditions for some other areas.  It may not cause any change but usually does.  For here it usually does cause a lot more rain most of the time and I hope it does this season but I don't know how it affects your area.  Once again predicting the weather proves that it is not an exact science.

111 this dark morning. I will be glad when the mornings start to get lighter again!

35° was the high yesterday. It was a gray day with rain/snow flurries most of the afternoon. I dislike the wet snow...I had to go out 3 times to clear satellite dish for TV. Today's forecast is 37°/30° mostly cloudy with a couple periods of light rain/snow.

It looked like a couple of the smaller cats slept in the cooler. In the morning after they ate, the snow was really blowing and I saw a little head peeking out and then quickly going back in. I'm going to ask my neighbor if he has or knows anyone with old coolers they aren't using if they are willing to give them away. These seem to be pretty cozy and will definitely stand up better than the cardboard boxes!

Got my email notice of payment to AT&T and the bill was $85!  What!! Spent about 1/2 hour on phone to them Friday to sort it out. They had again billed for 2 devices 600MB data and a small $3 charge for the iPad end of last billing cycle. Finally got them to revise as I had cancelled the iPad and should only have 1 device and new plan was unlimited data ($50/mo) . I said outright "You guys are fast driving me to. Consumer Cellular!"  She apologized multiple times and hopefully got it sorted right this time. Adjusted bill due 12/18 will be $40.09 then form then on the $50+tax. If they mess up again, I'm going to town, rain, sleet or snow and sign up w/CC!

104 this morning.  We had a high of 63° yesterday and an overnight low of 33°. It looks like we will have a warming trend the next couple of days starting tomorrow with around 72° for a couple of days then cooling down a bit.
I think you would be happy with CC but I know you don't want to set it up yourself.  It is actually easy, all you have to do is put their sim card in and have them activate it but you need another phone to call them to do it so going to town seems like your only option.  Since you have hopefully got your AT&T situation sorted out it will probably not be necessary to make the trip in bad weather.  That should be avoided if possible.

129 this drizzly morning.

Daytime high was 32° but when I wet to bed at 10:30PM it was 38°! Rain had warmed it up some. Light rain overnight. Today's forecast is 48°/36° cloudy with a few showers early. Big change!

Some of the smaller cats like the cooler, I'm definitely going to try. to track down some more, they stand up so much better than the boxes!

Garbage day, so get it together and up to the road. Since I'm out a small grocery run is in order and pick up mail at PO. That's it for the day.

101 this morning.  We had a high of 64° yesterday and it is supposed to be 67° today then around 72° tomorrow and Tuesday then cooling down to the low 60s after that.
Still waiting for some rain here but none in sight.  North West is going to see a lot of rain but it is not going to get into California except maybe the far North of the state.

Went out early to run errands, garbage to road, PO, Pharmacy, grocery store. Unpacked everything then time to feed kitties again.

Opened mail and found I had missed a Property tax bill, 2nd payment , last year! I searched for my records, and lo and behold I had! I wrote out the check and raced to the PO to have it hand cancelled today's date.  It wasn't a lot of $$, under $100 but scary for me!! I thought I had paid the full amount due with the first payment so didn't even think of it. I always pay in full, so don't know what I was thinking last year.

Kinda messed up the rest of my day. Just now getting to your posts Wally.

122 this morning.

A surprising 42° was the high yesterday! We're in for some days of very unusual weather for Dec. Today's forecast is an unbelievable 53°/34° few showers early then cloudy day. Last night's TV weather made mention of the Atmospheric River pushing rain our way but only to Western Idaho so may not impact here at all. Now the avalanche warnings are up for backcountry where they have had sizable amounts of snow. Odd weather pattern, but I'll take it!

I think today needs to be a rest day. Will see if that actually can happen!   ~ cat ~   ~ cat ~

92 this morning.  We had a high of 66° yesterday and a warmer 72° today and tomorrow then cooling down a bit to the low 60s.
I am going to try and do some more organization of my stuff today something I need to do but put off. I don't leave paying any of my bills to memory anymore.  I have a check list of everything and rely on it to make sure I got everything.  It makes me a bit more comfortable that I didn't forget anything.

It wasn't that I forgot to pay the bill, I mistakenly only paid the first 1/2 of total amount due.  I always pay the full bill in November, both parts. Somewhere in my pea brain for some reason last year I only paid the 1/2 bill and then had it set in my mind, "paid as usual". Almost all of my bills are on autopay so I don't have to worry. The only ones I pay as received are my credit card, and any medical bills that ins. doesn't cover. Whatever, my bad, I gave my own self a stressful day as a result...

116 this morning. Slept badly last night then ended up sleeping late.

51° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is. 50°/35° mostly. cloudy. One more day of nice weather then tomorrow it goes back to more normal Dec weather.

Had a lot of trouble with my left hand cramping up yesterday and right thumb trigger finger...guess I need to call my hand dr. Surgery may become a reality...sigh.

My friend from TNR (the helper) has 2 coolers she will get fixed up for shelters for me. She is going to keep an eye out for more. Radio silence from my neighbor and I thought he would know tons of people from the race track that might have old coolers...oh well.

79 this morning.  We had a high of 70° yesterday and it is supposed to get to 73° today and we are going to see a drop back to the low 60s tomorrow.  We are still looking for some rain to come this far South.  Northern California and the North West are getting a lot of rain right now.
Yeah I understood what you meant Barbara.  I was just saying that I don't trust my memory and keep a list to check off to make sure I didn't miss anything.  I also have most of my accounts on auto pay just in case but pay them when they come out and like to pay the balance while auto pay usually pays the minimum payment.  One nice thing about being able to pay on line is that it is done right then and you don't have to worry about it getting lost in the mail.

128 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 48° just a few showers AM then cloudy. Today's forecast is 42°/28° light rain early then scattering of snow overnight. Cooler but still above average temps for this time of year. Then a couple days clearer, then Sun & Mon some light snow then clearing again but cooler temps.

Hands were better yesterday so put off calling dr. will just keep an eye out and see how they are for a few days.

I got tired of searching for reasonable pj bottoms with pockets on Amazon and decided to venture up to town and just go to Walmart. Had to fill up with gas on way and in the little shopping center nearby, saw a new Mom & Pop thrift store so popped in looking for coolers. Had a nice chat with gal there and left w/no coolers but 3 pair decent pj bottoms and only had to drive about 15 miles round trip instead of up to town! And the 3 only cost $9 total! Score!!

113 this morning.  We had a high of 73° yesterday but a cooler 62° predicted today and that the end of the 70s and we will be in the low 60s and high 50s for the next few days.  Cooler but not cold.
Glad your hand is better Barbara.  I have had trigger finger for a long time but I don't have I often enough to try to have it looked at.  Several years ago I had it in my thumb and the hand doctor gave me a cortisone injection and it has never come back so I guess I could have it looked at but have ignored it.  Other than that I don't have any pain in my hand.
I have not shopped at our thrift stores here although I have dropped off a lot of items there that I no longer wanted but it may be fun to look around some time.

121 this morning. Light dusting of snow on ground.

42° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 36°/25° with flurries early AM then mostly cloudy. Not much snow but enough that I should sweep decks off.

My hands continue to be a problem. In 2013 I had steroid shots in both and that lasted a good 10 years. After my fall last Dec I have gone through multiple rounds of steroid shots that aren't lasting near as long and on the 5th my left hand completely froze up a couple of times which was scary! Aspercreme and heat loosened it up, then just rest. It has been OK the past few days but trigger fingers on both hands are acting up again. Right thumb is the worst. I keep putting it off, but I think I should call dr today...
