122 this morning.

35° was the high yesterday. The unexpected snow ended late morning, and was pretty much gone by the end of the day. Today's forecast is 35°/15° just some clouds. Looks like some decent days ahead.

Eye dr said nothing in eye, no scratches on cornea or anywhere else. It is just a burst capillary and it is like a bruise. It will take at least 2 weeks to go away as it is so large an area. Nothing wrong with eye! Phew! He gave me a sample of a different eye drop (Refresh Relieva) for the discomfort as there is swelling. I like it better than the Thera Tears, which he said were OK too, so I'm going to run out today and get a regular size bottle.

I felt so much better after that visit, I forgot to call hand dr. will call him today!

123 this morning.  Not unexpected, I had a couple of french-fries last night.
We had a high of 67° yesterday which was a surprise and an overnight low of 40° and it should be the same today.  There is a small chance of rain maybe in the next day or so but probably not.
Glad your eye is not a problem Barbara.  I thought it was a burst capillary but good that you had it looked at.  I had that happen once and it was like a bruise and turned yellow after a few days then went away.

That's what I thought too but it was so all encompassing and felt scratchy, I wanted to make sure that there wasn't something in there. I really like the new drops! They last so much longer than the Thera Tears!!

116 this morning. I will be so glad after the Solstice when it starts to get lighter longer again!!

Yesterday's high was 33° even had some sun despite the inversion. Today's forecast is 35°/21° with maybe a small chance of light shower/snow early then cloudy. I'm tired of Winter already and the worst isn't even here yet!

Today I need to call hand dr.! Must do it! I got sidetracked yesterday.

Project for today is to refresh straw in cat shelters and to try to tidy porches some. There is straw all over!

I think the OG mama may have gone to the Rainbow Bridge, I haven't seen her in 2 days and she is always right at the door and coming inside at feeding times.  ~saddy~  She is around 8 yrs old and has been on her own for a long time before she came to me 3 years ago. Still holding out hope she'll show up. She was the cause of all this, but I love her anyway.

85 this morning.  We had a high of 65° yesterday so still  warmer than predicted and it should be around the same today.
Barbara you are dealing with a lot more Winter than I am here so I would be tired of it also.  We usually see the coldest in January and February so it will probably be getting colder here but hoping for more rain.  They are still talking about the El Niño and that may bring more ran here but we will have to wait and see.

Same here, Jan & Feb are bad, that is why I said the worst isn't even here yet! I don't recall any time in the past where El Niño was an influence in our weather here, now there are 2 very different forecast as to what it will do here... very confusing. I'm hoping for the less snow version but who knows??

123 this morning.

29°. was the high yesterday, never got above freezing! Today's forecast is 37°/23° with a mix of sun and clouds. I hope so!! Looking at 10 day. forecast on Wunderground and it shows all sun with milder temps and just an occasional cloud. Partly due to a weather pattern in Southern CA pushing warmer weather up here. Thanks Wally!! LOL

My eye feels better, not as scratchy though still beet red and swollen. The new drops are much better. My hands are the real problem. It kind of surprises me that I can get in the same (turned out to be next) day with my Ophthalmologist and not until mid January with my hand dr. It's frustrating!

My friend got me 12 more coolers for free at the Home Resource place up in town. It recycles building supplies/appliances etc. to people that need them for very low prices. When she told them what they were for they gave them to her for free! If the kitties can share which I think the are doing already just for warmth, that should be enough supplemented with a few boxes. I feel a little better about the Winter weather now.

Mama Millie came home yesterday! Thank goodness, I was afraid I had lost her! She got a full can of cat food to herself and a rest by the fire before she was ready to go out again. She wasn't too thrilled to have her picture taken.

106 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 65° yesterday and should be the same today.  Well, if some of our warmer weather gets up to you great.  What we have right now is pretty much normal for here but it will get colder.
Off in a bit for an appointment with my PCP for a routine follow up appointment. That will take most of my morning.

Thanks! She is a sweetie. She is the OG (original mama) that started this whole colony... but she is so sweet and gentle you can't help loving her. I just don't understand why her original owner didn't come back for her..

Nope, just a couple towns south maybe 25 miles and her parents live next door to me. Guess she just didn't want Millie any more...sad.

111 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 29°. Today's forecast signals the beginning of some nicer weather for this time of year, 40°/26° with clouds. We're still under the inversion but that is supposed to get pushed away and it will get even nicer.

pcp didn't want to give me the shot in thumb, she hasn't done thumbs in a long time. :( She wrote rx for a cream (diclofenac) that should hold me over until I see Ortho (hand dr) in Jan. I asked her about it affecting the liver when she told me about it and she said it "shouldn't" be a problem, so I thought OK, good.

When I went to fill it at the pharmacy there, it turned out to be otherwise known as Voltaren. A side effect of which is possible liver damage. (Read that on label on an OTC version of the drug I bought a while back, then returned it. Also checked yesterday on Webmd at home.) That is a big NOPE for me, so I didn't fill it. "Shouldn't be" is not something I'm willing to risk at this point. So I am back to Aspercreme until Jan. It works "OKish" but doesn't last very long.

104 this morning.  We had a high of 65° yesterday and it should be the same today.  The prediction now is for about a 75% chance of rain Wednesday and Thursday so I hope that holds up but it is still too far out to be accurate.
I wonder if the Salonpas would be any better?  There is the patch but I bought the cream on Amazon and it seems to work.
