95 this morning.  We got to 78° again yesterday and it is supposed to get to 80° today.  It looks like we will be around this for the rest of the month which is nice and maybe we will get a bit of Spring before the heat gets more Summer like.
It is kind of interesting that our cable company is apparently trying to keep people happy with their existing system with the new company running fiber through the town.  I got an email that they were upgrading the speed to 200 mbps from 100 mbps at no additional cost starting yesterday.  They used to have an additional charge for that.  I ran a speed test this morning and it is still the same so apparently it isn't happening or maybe my modem isn't up to it.  It doesn't matter to me as I get around 130 mbps right now and that is just fine for what I do.  I can stream without any problems and Netflix and the like run without any glitches so not a big deal for me but when the new fiber is available I will sign up for it.

58° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 49°/38° with rain showers. No Spring here yet...

Wally,
I have a fiber connection but have opted for a 30 Mbps unlimited plan as it was cheaper and good enough for our needs. We have no issues with Netflix or YouTube or any Channel at that speed. 130 is definitely pretty good.

I had grilled chicken last night with Mayo sauce. Must have been sugared as I found myself at 158, though I was expecting to see a number in the low 20s. I also chewed on some cinnamon pieces post dinner. I wonder which one was the culprit.

Interesting idea, is cinnamon known for raising bg? I thought it was good for us.

82 this morning.  We go to 78° yesterday and it should be the same today.  It is shorts and T-shirt weather right now and it's March !  It may be a hot dry Summer.
Yeah SKB,  130 mbps is actually quite good for our use and faster is not really a big deal for our use.  Families with a large number of people using the same service will have a better need for the fiber or the gamer that plays on line. We can have two TVs streaming and I am streaming on the computer with no problem at all.  The reason that I would switch to the new company is because the equipment will be new and the current cable provider is using old equipment and doesn't want to spend the money to upgrade.
I have an appointment today with my cardiologist to go over the results from the PT/CT scan of the heart arteries so I will be interested to see the results.

It was the Mayo because I chewed on some cinnamon again last night and I was at 109 this morning which was a pleasant surprise.

Yeah, good luck with the results Wally.

98 this morning.  We got to 77° yesterday and heading to 76° today with cloudy skies.
Interesting, I use a lot of mayonnaise, like on hard boiled eggs and have never noticed it to have any effect on my bg.  There are some versions though that do have added sugar.
The results from the scan were quite interesting.  He had it displayed on his laptop and it showed the images of the heart and the arteries supplying the heart.  You could see an image of an artery and actually look down the inside of the artery and see the walls of it.  The good news is that all of my arteries supplying the heart are clear and chance of a heart attack in very low.  The heart is working exactly as it should and the artificial valve is working like a champ. One less thing to worry about.  Now if I can get this sciatica taken care of.  I had a therapy session yesterday and the therapist agreed that PT is not really doing much good.  I will see the orthopedist next friday to see what the next step will be.

123 this mostly blue sky morning.

50° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 53°/25° (or 34° overnight depending on which site I look at).

Glad to hear your heart is fine Wally, just wish you could get the sciatica resolved.

My calcium score was 50 which puts me right in the middle of risk for my age group. But there was some amount of plaque in the arteries, one of which was higher than the other two which were quite low. Since the CT scan is a volumetric analysis it is not possible to say what is the percentage block.

141 today, again, due to some bad eating as today is Holi, the festival of color and is a public holiday.

88 this morning.  We had a high of 75° yesterday and heading to 79° today.  Bright and sunny with no wind.
SKB, I don't know if the CT scan you had is the same as the one I had.  Mine was called a PET/CT scan they do inject you with a radiopharmaceutical for the test.  I was blown away at seeing the images.  You could look down the arteries and see the inside of them.  You could see any plaque if it existed but I was happy that none showed up in the images. They didn't give me a calcium score, they just sent the results to my cardiologist.  It would be interesting to know what the difference in our scans was, if any.

120 this mostly  cloudy morning. Some drizzle this morning maybe a few showers in the afternoon.

Yesterday's high was 52°, today's forecast is 53°/34°. Temps are slowly warming up. I am seriously going to have my yard people come out and clean up my yard this Spring. I think the yard tigers are secure enough not to run away at the noise...hopefully.

I have never had that test Wally, it does sound fascinating to see inside your arteries and better yet to see no problems!!

Yeah, it is quite interesting.  This company is located in Orange County about 150 miles away and has the scanner in a large trailer that they bring up to your location.  My Cardiologist gave me the order for the scan and it is covered by Medicare.  The other thing that is interesting is that there are two scans.  One is resting and the other is a stress scan where the heart is pumping at a higher rate like you were running.  The stress scan can show defects not visible in the resting scan.

I do not know if there is any difference between our tests. It was only referred to as CT Angiography in the test sheets. I do have color images of my heart and 3 different coronary arteries but not from within as you say. The images of the arteries are shown in 4 different color codes, for Lumen (Blood I suppose), Calcium, Plague 1 & Plaque 2, which are the soft plaque and the hard one.

101 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 78° and it will be a couple of degrees cooler today with clouds and wind.
Yeah SKB, I don't know if there is any difference either.  I wasn't given any kind of a report.  The results were sent to my Cardiologist and he showed me the images on his laptop.  He was quite happy with the results so I figure that is good enough for me  :)
I had an angiogram 7 years ago prior to my getting the heart valve replacement.  The heart valve is inserted into the aortic artery in the groin and pushed along to it's resting place in the heart.  They have to make sure that the artery is clear enough for the valve to pass through and all looked good then.  This is done in the hospital and is a lot more invasive.
