128 this windy morning. Yuk!

30° was the high, cloudy and when wind started in afternoon it felt frigid out. Today's forecast is 33°/21° with periods of light snow and some gusty winds. Just the lightest dusting of snow that I can make out right now. Not much accumulation for today they say. But when brunt of weather hits later in the week with the bitter cold weather, we may get a couple of inches with winds 25-30mph. Really going to hate that!!

While I am out today, I am going to have to find a litter box for Mama Millie and some litter. She really doesn't want to go out in the evening. I'll give her a chance to prover that she will use the box then see how indoor life goes for her.

Exhausted from yesterday, and more to do today. I feel like I'm pushing too hard....but what can I do?

99 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 54° and the overnight low was 26°.  That would be warm for Barbara but for me it's cold!
Yeah, A1c doesn't require fasting.  The lipid test does require fasting.

Thanks for refreshing my memory. After all the feeding routines this morning with some snow. I'm not sure I could fast all the way until 2PM (1:40 for test) without passing out!!

Off to get some tea and Greek yogurt! That should hold me.

111 this morning.

bg seems to be settling some... but embarrassed to say new A1c was 7.6!!!  Highest it has ever been since right after dx! My fault mostly from eating poorly trying to get weight up but I think also all this pain and infection running around in my body didn't help! Not going to post it in my sig as it is 1/2 yr reading. Will fix this asap...after teeth finished and all healed I think there will be a big difference and back to strict LC/HF diet!

Yesterday's high was 38° with clouds and just a few flakes of snow. Today's forecast is 30°/22° light snow in early morning then mostly cloudy.The Actic weather comes in Thurs nite and the minus overnight temps with snow for 3-4 days following. Lowest in the forecast is a -16 but hoping that doesn't happen....big brrrrr time coming!  Snow amounts vary but not scary high.

 really need a good day of rest, hope it can be today!!

106 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 49° and the low was 23° so getting colder.  Pretty much expected, January and February are usually the coldest months here.
Well Barbara that is just something to be aware of and you can get it lower after things settle down.  That is what I had when I finally took it on my own to do something about it and decided that my doctor was not going to help me at all and found the forum we were at before this and started LCHF to correct it.  It doesn't take long to bring it down.

Thanks Wally, yeah I know I can get it back down and know exactly how to do it! All the tooth stuff should be done and healed in a month or so then I can really work on lowering A1c.

I vaguely remember that I was at a different forum too before the one we left for here. I don't remember the name of it, but I think I recall several people from the first one did end up at the second one too.

127 this morning. Jaw still aching, hope I don't have a dry socket...

Yesterday's high was 35° with some sun then cloudy and breezy. Today's forecast is 26°/-6° with periods of light snow. Tomorrow's forecast is scary: -2°/-19°, but no snow... 4 days in that ballpark but the -19° is the lowest predicted to go. There is going to be some high winds at the beginning of the cold too.  Oh man that is going to be brutal for the kitties!!

The only saving grace to the frigid weather is no snow. I won't have to be out shoveling snow! I will have to keep monitoring kitties' shelters to be sure they are dry and full of straw. And it will be a bit warmer when I have to go up to town for hand dr appointment on Tuesday.

91 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 58° and the low was 40° and it will be warming up a bit for the next few days.  Yesterday starting in the afternoon and all night the wind was really howling.  Here we had gusts of 40 MPH but in some other areas they had gusts as high as 70 MPH !
The forum we came from to here is simply named diabetesforum.com.  For some reason I still get emails from them and have looked in at them and there is not much activity but a lot of advertising.  It is nothing like it was when we were there.

Right, I knew the name of that one but there was one before that. Something happened there or changed too much, I don't remember what now, but several of us left that one and went to diabetesforum.com. Then a bunch of us left there and formed this forum. skb may remember better what happened, I know he said he followed Salim because he was banned, but don't remember why he was banned.... If I were to guess, I'd guess that first forum doesn't exist any more.

It does. The first one was called diabetesforums.com It was quite a volatile place but had some of the best names of LCHF there. I befriended Shanny, John, Pat and Linda and many others there.
At the second one the management went after Shanny and all 8 of us moderators left en masse. When I first made this forum, 4 of us were here including Shalynne but later she stopped posting. Some members from the 2nd forum came in here in the earlier stages but have stopped posting altogether.
Forums are in a bad shape, except the technical ones. I frequent some which are based on s/w platforms and all of them have a sizeable number of members.

Yeah, I was one of the moderators that left with Shanny and the rest to start up here. I guess I just got the names of the forums mixed up. I am comfortable here, I would not go to any social media site if this forum ever had to close down. That would be it for me!
