I own the 1.2 acres my house sits on. Originally the people that owned my house had 10 acres of land. Their house was in place and the well drilled and operating for some time when they decided to subdivide the property. They cut it up into several parcels and the well ended up being on another parcel. As part of the sale of that parcel, the well was grandfathered in so it would still be for my property. The well belongs to me but the land it sits on belongs to my neighbor.

This is typical for Montana. The land is divided up into 10 acre parcels just because that is an "easy" number I guess. People frequently subdivide once they build their homes on the lots. There is a restriction on the size of the subdivides and one can only subdivide a certain number of times. Something like 2 or 3.

121 this morning.

38° was the high yesterday, good amount of snow melting. Today's forecast is 40°/26° dense fog in the early morning then partly cloudy. Glad I don't have to drive this morning!

My goodness did that hot shower feel good yesterday afternoon!!! What a relief to have the water back again!

114 this morning.  We had a high of 51° yesterday and an overnight low of 39°.  We did get rain yesterday, just over 1/2 inch so pretty good for here in the desert.  It was a light rain most of the day and soaked in with no runoff so it did good.  Some areas on the other side of the mountains got quite heavy rain with flooding in some.
Glad you finally got the water going Barbara, whew.  A better insulated pump house would really be a help.

140 this morning.

39° was the high yesterday. Loved it! Today's forecast is 38°/27° cloudy with a chance of light snow overnight amounting basically to a dusting, they say. 10 day forecast has us getting into the 40's and even some mostly sunny days. Something about an Atmospheric River over the west coast will push warmer weather to us. Sheesh, from -40° one week to 40°, 10 days later. Hope the snow in the mountains doesn't melt too much....

90 this morning.  We had a high of 66° yesterday and a low of 48° so warmer and it was supposed to be a chance of some rain this morning but nothing.
Off in a bit to get my claws clipped then my doctor suggested that I get a RSV vaccine so I may do that after.

127 this morning.

35° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 38°/25° with possibly a few flurries early this morning, no measurable snow they say. Nice weather still in 10 day forecast.

I've been thinking about going back on Metformin, even got my new rx in the mail yesterday. But then I remembered a discussion we had here early Summer last year, which reminded me of liver issues possibly associated with it. I swore then I'd never go back on it due to my own liver issues...but here I am with bg going wild...I'm going to call my Gastro today and see what he thinks about it. I still have my reservations though...  really need to buckle down with the diet instead I think.

97 this morning.  We had a high of 57° yesterday and a low of 37°.  It is going to warm up a bit in the next few days and it looks like we may have a chance of rain next week.
My doctor stopped my Metformin a few years ago because of the possible liver issues and I didn't really notice any change in my BG after I quit using it so I am not sure that it was very effective but it may be different for others.
I hopped in my car yesterday morning to go to my appointment and it wouldn't start, battery was dead.  Nothing was left on to drain it but it was barely able to turn the motor over and then quit.  I don't have any way to jump it and I could have called the auto club but it would take way too long for them to get here so I canceled the appointment.   I had been thinking that the battery was getting old and I should replace it for a while but put it off, dumb me.  When I checked it there is a date sticker on it and the battery is 6 years old!  My BIL is going to get a new one and install it today but it really messed up my day because I had put off taking care of this. Oh well, lesson learned that by now I shouldn't have to learn.

135 this morning. Maybe cauliflower crust pizza is not for me?? From the ingredient list it looked OK...

42° was the high yesterday!! And we are heading for some even warmer weather within the next 10 days. Today's forecast is 40°/26°, partly cloudy. Just hoping Feb doesn't slam us again...

Haircut today then nothing until dentist next Tues.

Tried to call Gastro re the Metformin but their new phone system takes you in circles and then asks you to leave a message on something called "clara"....no thank you. Why do they make it so hard to get through to them? Still haven't taken any of it...

I feel your pain Wally, my battery died recently too, but it was my fault for not shutting the door tightly. My battery was less than a year old at the time... It is the nuisance of having to cancel/reschedule appointments that is the real bother.

101 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 64° and the low was 37°.  It looks like several days with a chance of rain starting next Thursday but that is too far out to be accurate yet.
Yeah I get the same thing here.  When I call I get the voice recorder and have to leave a message, no one answers the phone.  When I called to cancel my appointment I had to leave a message and I did with a request to call me to reschedule and so far no one has called back.
My battery was just old and died.  I got the new one yesterday and the difference was surprising.  The motor spins fast and it starts right away.  I didn't realize that it had become so much slower, the Honda starts quite easily so it had not been noticeable.  All good now so I just need to get the appointment rescheduled.

I wish it was that easy! Here I have to call, select "dr's assistant" from the menu, then get a long line of choices and then am routed to some automated sys. to type in a message. Then wait for a reply... Can't just leave a voice message anywhere in the system. Too much tech....

134 this morning. Slept an hour late, quick postings as outside cats are roaming the porch already, just barely light at 7:30AM.

42° was high yesterday. Today's forecast is a bit lower at 39°/25° with a chance of a few light showers.

Finally made myself go through the whole message system at Gastro office and typed in my question re Metformin. Later in the day a text came saying he said OK to take it, but to have liver values checked every 3 months while on it. Doesn't exactly give me a lot of encouragement, but I will start it today and see what happens.

83 this morning.  We had a high of 63° yesterday and a low of 35°.  Still might have a chance of some rain next week.
I took Metformin for several years and always thought it was quite safe but my doctor took me off of it around 4 years ago because she thought it may be having an effect on my liver but I am not sure it was.  I did not see any difference since stopping.
