129 this drizzly. morning.

48° was the high yesterday. Rained on and off all day. The clouds never lifted so a very dreary day. Today's forecast is still cool at 59°/37° with drizzle on and off most of day. The clouds cleared some and there is definitely a fresh layer of snow fairly low on the mountains behind me, The Bitterroots. The ones on the front of the house, the Garnet Range, are much lower but new snow on top of them too.  Sure hope this is the last gasp for Winter!!

90 this morning.  Our high yesterday was a "cooler" 96° and it is supposed to be the same today.
The largest wildfire that is in the area of the State Park I used to work at is still only 24% contained and winds are a problem.  It looks like it went through the entire State park and I wonder how much damage it did there.

I fear our fire season. We had so much wet weather the grasses all over are knee high and higher. Everything is lush and green now, but once it get hot it will all dry out and be tons of fuel.

I didn't realize Dr Bernstein was still alive! I'll have to look at that on Youtube! Thanks for mentioning it!

133 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 64° with several rain showers. Today's forecast is 71°/40° and sunny. Yay at last!

I hope to catch kitten early, I have another sore spot in my mouth and produced a rather large bone shard (about .5" x .25" "v" shaped, very pointed edges) the other day, that would not have been good to have swallowed! So would like to see the dentist today if possible. Kitten is first though...

100 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 93° and it is heading to 98° today.  They are saying that the East Coast is under a heat dome and people are "suffering" with temps around 90°!  Here we consider 90° as cool so I guess it is what you are used to and how your set up to deal with it.  We are going to be heading back to over 100° and close to 110° next week and there is no doubt that it is hot so we stay indoors after noon during the hottest pare of the day and our homes are cool inside. 
Yikes Barbara, that sounds awful.  Hope you can get to the dentist to have it looked into.

In all the teeth I've had removed in years past, I've never had bone shards working their way out after the fact. With this set of removals, I have had several tiny ones, more like tiny bits or thin tiny pieces. This latest one was a big (by comparison) piece of bone. No wonder that side was hurting me...

66° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 79°.47° and sunny. I hope some good weather is here for a while.

I forgot yesterday was a holiday, Juneteenth, so everything was closed, so no dentist...and banking to be done. I do need to call dentist, but the kitten is still first priority, it showed up last evening so I have to double my diligence trying to get it. Then deal with the teeth...

Another discovery yesterday I really didn't need to make, 3 skunk kits are under my storage shed. They popped out briefly late afternoon as I was checking for kitten. Now I am going to have to get them trapped and relocated...not by me!

The other 2 kittens are doing great, growing and playing together. I really need to get the 3rd one so they can all be together again.

100 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 96° and now it is going to head back to 100°+ so hotter.
Yeah, not sure how to manage getting skunks out.  The mother has to be around also. 
Oh, happy Summer Solstice!
The exact moment of solstice (when the sun is at its highest point in the sky all year) will occur at 4:50 p.m. (EDT) today. Interestingly, this is the earliest that the solstice has occurred since George Washington was president (1796, or 228 years ago, to be precise). Oh, the moon will also appear full tonight! Enjoy.

139 this morning. Not sure why but it is what it is...

75° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 83°/47° and sunny. Looks like a warming trend over the next ten days getting to 90° by next Wed! but then dropping to high. 60's right after...that's OK with me.

Going to try to see dentist today for a minor revision on lower bridge. After bone piece came out that side feels much better but the other side now hurts....this is really going to be a process I never anticipated!

81 this morning, salad for dinner makes for lower numbers.  Our high yesterday was 98° and it is supposed to get to 105° today.  It looks like we will be in the 100+ range for the next few days.
Off in a bit for an MRI that I have to go to another town for and it is about a 1 1/2 hour drive so leaving soon.

122 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 78°, today's forecast is 87°/54° and sunny. A couple 90° days coming up, I may just get a chance to test out my new A/C!

I went to town to dentist to get another revision on the lower bridge, it is feeling much better and I think it is almost finally set, although the swelling on the rt side may make one more revision necessary when it goes down. She was a little surprised at the size of the shard I showed her. She said the severity of the ulcers I had there at first most likely interfered with the bone healing and this piece sloughed off. hmmmm OK?? Anyway it feels so much better now I fine with it.

One quick stop in town and got home before it got too hot up there. Settled down to rest and get a call from eye center and my new glasses are ready. Yay, but I'm not driving up there again same day. So Monday I get my new glasses!

97 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 103° and it is heading to 109° today then it will be about that for the next few days.  You cannot view this attachment.

We drove to my appointment for the MRI yesterday that was scheduled for noon and about 2/3 of the way there I got a call that their machine was down and that it may be back to working by 2-3 o'clock so I canceled the appointment as there was no way that they could be sure that it would even be fixed by then so we turned around and headed home but since we were close we stopped and got burgers at In 'N Out since they have burgers that are just too good to pass up.  I rarely ever get any fast food but this was special and yummy!  Now I have to make another appointment when my BIL is available but oh well.

123 this morning.

80° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 89°/48°. Fortunately with all the water around me, it won't be quite that high here. But, I do have that A/C now so not worried.

That really sux Wally! Especially having been already on the road. smart not to go for the later time, those kind of things have a way of taking longer to fix than anticipated/hoped for. In N'Out ohhhh how I miss them! Nothing like that here and even not close to where I lived in CA, but on the way to anywhere near...I'd stop there!! Hope you enjoyed it!

108 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 107° and it is supposed to be about the same today.  It's going to be about this for at least the next few days. 
Yeah I do really like In 'N Out and it is a treat whenever we go to a place where they are as it is about an 1 1/2 hour drive to any location from here.  It's a bit of a bump in my bg but worth it.

84° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 84°.47° and sunny.

Another trip to town today, this time to get my new glasses. I sure hope it iis the last for a while. I can always manage to make a stop or two while I am there but after that I just want to stay at home for a while!!

Garbage to the road and later another attempt at catching last kitten are the only other things on my agenda for today.
