Thanks for that! Ironically I have my own copy of the Bhagavad Gita and also the Upanishads. I read them years ago before my trip to India. Information in the brain, not readily retrievable.

I thought that I had read sometime in the past that you did read them. I wasn't sure. I am certain that the cataract surgery will help you a lot. I have to undergo the procedure myself but I think that it is not so bad and can wait a few years.

88 this morning.  We got to 83° yesterday and should reach 85° today. 
I think today is going to be a lazy day.  I may not even get dressed.

122 this cloudy/snowing morning.

52° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 49°/24° with a good chance of showers in the afternoon. The snow didn't last long this morning and didn't stick at all.

Three days in a row I have had to go out, not happy about that but I had to get my hair cut yesterday. She cut off 10" and it feels so much better now!

Starting yesterday I have to be vegetarian for 9 days and therefore I will not be checking daily. This is something I have to do twice every year.

122 for me today.  I really don't know where that came from.  I had salad for dinner and I tested at 90 two hours after dinner so this was a surprise.  I did test again with the same result.  I am feeling a lot more sore yesterday and this morning so maybe that  has something to do with it.  Oh well, like Barbara says, "tis what tis"

126 this partly cloudy morning. Yeah Wally, lately my bg has been all over the map and I can't explain it. Between my knee and eyes...maybe that is it...whatever, I just have to go with the flow.

49° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 58°/21° hopefully it won't get that cold overnight.

Geee, your high ° is our overnight low.  Hope you warm up soon.  I know it is normal for your area but Spring is supposed to be here.  Our Iris are starting to bloom in the front yard and the trees are full of blooms.  It's really nice now but the heat will get here soon enough.

LOL my iris don't bloom until June! Trees will be around that time to bloom too. Farther north takes longer to warm up.

My daughter sent a picture of her neighborhood yesterday and it was snowing in Budapest yesterday.

I had to attend a family dinner and the food was all of the things that we love to avoid. So, didn't test this morning.

I loved Budapest! Late DH had family in Buda and Pest (now combined to Budapest). Beautiful country, one had a winery in the hills. Great wine and a wonderful meal! I was so glad I did the travelling I did years ago. That time is now behind me but the memories are there forever.

101 this morning.  For some reason my bg ran much higher than normal yesterday.  It had nothing to do with what I ate and I didn't feel sick but it seems to be better now.   
Our high yesterday was 82° and our overnight low 56°, heading to 86° today. 
I have an appointment with my primary this afternoon but it is  just a normal follow up and I don't expect that we will spend any time on the sciatica, I am seeing the orthopedist for that, for what it is worth.

Another 126 this cloudy morning. I'm thinking my crazy numbers are related to stress. Tomorrow is first surgery, once that is behind me maybe things will settle down.

59° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 50°/29° with showers during the day and possible snow overnight.

Started the eye drops for my surgery tomorrow. Don't know yet what time surgery is, they will call today. Stress rate is really up there, will be so glad once it is done!!

ETA: They just called, surgery is 7:15AM tomorrow. Yikes! Way too early for me...

Yes, it is. This period (which is twice a year) is known as Navratri or Nine Nights.
I love Budapest. My daughter also has a house up in the hills. I think that part is Buda if I'm not mistaken. They have lovely view of the Danube and the city.

92 this morning.  It seems that my bg is back where I expect it to be.  I guess Sunday was just a glitch.
We got to 88° yesterday and it is supposed to be 90° today.  We are going to be in the 90s through the weekend then Monday a big drop to the 60s for a couple of days.
My appointment with my primary yesterday was pretty uneventful.  She just went over my lab results which were mostly good and didn't have anything to add about the sciatica but since I am seeing the orthopedist she is going to defer to him.  I am going to get an appointment with him in a week or two.  I thing that I will have an MRI from that meeting.  MY artificial heart valve is 7 years old now and when it was first installed I was told that I could not have an MRI but now they have determined that it is OK as long as they follow the published guide lines.  It will show things not visible in the X-ray and the CT scan so may help.
