107 this morning.

76° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 84°/52° mostly sunny, but the smoke is ever present. It has been consistently cooler than the predictions which is fine with me!

My hand feels much better today, movement is much easier already. Today I take the bandages off. It will feel good to air the stitches out and let my hand feel free! I don't have to cover them any more but I feel better when I am doing some things to put bandaids loosely over the stitches. I'll have to drive the garbage up to the road but that is about the only really strenuous thing I'll be doing with my hand today. Resting/taking it easy is still on the agenda for a few more days.

Wild fires are still a big headline in the news and this has been a big year for them:

103 this morning.

80° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 79°/54° some sun, clouds and possible thunderstorms in the afternoon. I am glad for the cooler days, but not so happy about the thunderstorms with lightening!

Laundry is about all I have to do today.

87 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 105° and it is supposed to be a bit cooler at 103° today.  It isn't a lot but it does get us down to where the swamp cooler works well so it is a help.
I have to leave in a while to go for another MRI because they messed up the one I had done last month.  Not happy about that as it is about a 1 1/2 hour drive to where it is but oh well.

104 this morning.

68° was the high yesterday. It was cloudy/smoky with one downpour of rain in the late afternoon. Today's forecast is for a bit warmer weather with 81°/59° again cloudy/smoky.

The pest people are coming today to spray outside. I have to get the kitty things that touch up to the house all pulled out so they can spray the perimeter. It is going to be a bit tricky trying to keep my hand protected, but I have enough bandages and some gloves to pad it pretty well. It is feeling surprisingly good so far, I don't want to mess that up!

Wally, I hope they got your MRI was done properly this time and you don't have to make the trip yet again!

107 this morning. Our high yesterday was 101° and the overnight low was a much cooler 64° so a welcome cooling spell. It is supposed to be around this for the rest of the week so a welcome change.
Yesterdays trip was a long one.  We got to the location and they said that there was no appointment scheduled for me and I gave the name of who I talked to and it turns out the appointment was for their other location across town! Lucky we were about a 1/2 hour early so back in the truck and driving for another almost 1/2 hour and then got checked in and was told they were running late so waited for about another 1/2 hour then finally got the MRI which was not that long. THEN off to In 'N Out for burgers!  ecs
They better have gotten it right this time because I am not going through this again.

96 this morning. Our high yesterday was 102° and it should be the same today so we are enjoying the swamp cooler because it brings in outside air and while it is not like opening a window it is filtered and kind of freshens up the house.
I have an appointment this afternoon for a regular follow up with the PA that is replacing my previous PCP but I looked at my test results and I don't see anything that is out of line. Some things are just a bit out of the "normal" but not different than they have been for the past results.  I don't know if I will look for another doctor but since my previous doctor left there are none associated with the hospital that are taking new patients and it has been a benefit to stay here but I could go outside this clinic.  I am just not sure how I feel about relying on a PA as my PCP.

116 this morning.

78° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 83°/52° sunny with a slight chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon.

My two cents for all it is worth Wally, is I'd find a new doctor. A PA is far less trained than a dr from what I read on "dr google". A PA goes to school 2 or maybe 2.5 years with no residency at all where, a dr goes to school 4 years (none online) plus 3-7 years of residency and fellowship training, depending on the physician specialty they pursue.

At our ages I think a fully trained dr is important as they have much more training behind them and experience that can help them spot things a PA may not.  Just my  ~2cnt~

Yeah that is how I feel about it also.  This is supposed to be temporary until they get a new doctor to replace the one I had but that is a hard thing to do to find a doctor to move here and there is no way to know how long it may take.  There are not a lot of other doctors available here but there are a few. I may start looking.

103 this morning. Our high yesterday was 102° again and it is supposed to be just a bit hotter today but still not too bad.
My appointment with the PA yesterday went well and all of my results are the same or just a bit better than last time so no problems.  She is only going to be here until December and then they are trying to get another doctor or two to come here but that remains to be seen.  I am going to wait and see what develops before making a change and I still have my cardiologist that keeps a close watch on how I am doing and I am also seeing a urologist and a gastro so specialist are also available so I don't feel that I am not covered.
