Yup. Cool picture. We had a tiger visit the place where we're building the farm house now. This was about a month ago. The forest department finally tranquilized the tiger and have put him in a zoo in one the cities close by.

80 this morning. Our high yesterday was 103° and it is supposed to start cooling down now, finally!
I got ready a bit early so I have time to post, leaving shortly for the MOHS surgery. It could take a while depending on if it takes more than one cut but it was small so probably not.

Goo Luck Wally!

112 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 60°, today's forecast is 75°/36°. A nice Fall week ahead cool but dry.

It was 30° this morning at feeding time, inside their "house" it was 45°. Last night was the first night I closed the door completely, leaving only the cat door for in and out. Unfortunately it appears the raccoons still came in but the cats stayed away.  ~sad~  There were only 4 inside when I went out at 7AM. The rest came after I opened up and turned on the light. A couple had insulation on their fur so they had gone under the house again. Failure in my books. Tonight I'm going back to the door just ajar, the cats seem more comfortable with that when the raccoons show up.

Not much on agenda today, garbage to the road, and a laundry (again).

103 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 65°, today's forecast is 78°/39°. 30° this morning at 7AM, kitty house was 50° inside. Looking good so far..

Pest people are coming today to do last spraying of the year. None too soon, I've seen a few bigish brown spiders around garage. hmmm, maybe that is what bit me?? Also have a new yellow jacket nest being built on far corner of garage eave. Time to get rid of the critters for the year!

Not much else on the agenda for today.

100 this morning. Our high yesterday was 101° and it is going to start to cool down finally and we are going to see a gradual drop in the highs for the next few days.

The MOHS surgery went well yesterday and although I was there for about 4 hours most of it was waiting for him to examine the piece he cut out to make sure it got all of the cancer and it did so only one cut. The good news is that the other places were not subject to surgery right now and I am going to use a cream that has worked in the past on one spot and the other two are just to watch but not a worry right now.

Poor Florida is looking at another hurricane and it could be quite a strong one. It is not supposed to go North like Helene did and move into the other states but is expected to go right across Florida and into the Atlantic. Some areas that were heavily damaged by Helene are in the path of this one also and it is going to be even harder on those areas. The results are going to be awful for those people.

Yeah, I can't imagine living under that stress of Hurricane upon Hurricane! Those poor people!

We have a bunch of smoke again, this coming from fires in Idaho and some south of me here in MT. The past few days of really windy weather have flared up fires that were just about out. The one very close to me is burning again, way back in the mountain and that smoke is coming here too. Unpleasant, but nothing like the devastation from those Hurricanes!

101 this morning. Our high yesterday was 98° and we are now under the 100° mark, hope it keeps going down and it is supposed to.

I did not sleep well last night, I am used to sleeping on my right side and because of the surgery I need to try my left side and I just don't feel comfortable and for some reason my sciatica doesn't seem to like it either. I ended finally getting up at 3:oo AM and will probably be taking a nap later but then the good thing is that I can!

I have been watching some of the reports on the hurricane and it doesn't look good for Florida. They are used to hurricanes but this looks like a pretty big one, maybe the worse in 100 years. High winds and heavy rain are one thing but the storm surge for those near the coast could be as high as 10-15 feet high. Helene had a storm surge of 7 feet so this will be much worse.

121 this morning.

68° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 75°/43° and sunny. 32° again when I went out to feed the cats. I slept late so it was 7:45am and still that cold.

Still hazy out from the fires, mostly from Idaho. I don't see any visible smoke from the one by me but reports say it is burning on the back side of the mountain now.

Pest guy did a heavy duty spray yesterday. He said given my description of the bite, he suspected some form of hobo or brown recluse spider...yuk! He did say the spider population was down here due to the storms we had over the Summer, something good from them at least.

Not really anything planned for today. No doubts something will come up though.

103 this morning. Our high yesterday was 97° so pretty much the same but it is cooling and the overnight lows are in the 50s.

The wound from the MOHS surgery is looking really good so happy about that. I got a referral to the hand surgeon for this lump on my left hand so I need to call for an appointment to see what he has to say about it.

The hurricane has now landed in Florida and in some ways it was not as bad as expected with the storm surge and it didn't get to the 12-15 feet but there was a lot of damage and a lot of it was from tornados that accompany a hurricane and there are many deaths reported. It is going to take a while to find out the total damage and fatalities.

113 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 68°, today's forecast is 67°/37° partly cloudy, partly sunny. The air is still smoky, there is a chance of some winds later today and tomorrow that will blow it away. These fires are going to smolder until we get a really good rain.

The leaves on the cottonwoods haven't started falling yet, soon they will and I will have to get the raking started. Hopefully I can get them done before the snow starts!

Again, nothing specific on the agenda today.

Yes, I was looking at some of the photos on The Weather Channel site. The photos are awful, but could have been so much worse. That whole area has really taken a pounding recently and sadly as they clean up, there may be more people found that didn't make it out in time. From the looks of the photos rebuilding/repairing is going to take a very long time!!

77 this morning, just salad for dinner. Our high yesterday was 95° so getting cooler by only one or two degrees a day but the trend keeps going down so that is hopeful.

Yeah, the clean up is going to take a long time and repairs even longer. Many were completely destroyed and may never be replaced. I don't think I would ever want to live in Florida but it does have it's plus sides.

105 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 60°, today's forecast is 71°/39° and cloudy. Smoke is better as the winds have shifted a bit. Looks like several really nice days ahead.

Lazy days of Fall are making me lazy! I guess subconsciously, I'm storing up energy for what is to come when Winter hits...II'm not putting on fat though LOL!!  ~ cat ~  The kitties are getting their Winter coats and are beginning to look like little fluffy balls running around the yard!

119 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 62°, today's forecast is 72°/36° "clear" but smokey, air quality unhealthy.

This morning the gal with the crystal shop is going to come over and look at what I have. Hopefully she likes a lot! She's on a budget, saving for the big Tucson Show in Feb next year, but I can make some deals she won't see there!!

She asked if I had Venmo or a "square on my phone for payment...nope, and I'm not downloading something. I told her a check was OK of preferably cash. Will see how that part goes. I'm considering this like a "yard sale" not a business sale as far as taxes go...I'm sure she is treating it as a business purchase. Hope this works out for both of us!!
