110 this partly cloudy morning.

For some reason this site wouldn't open for me this morning. It finally just did that's why I'm so late to post.

36° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 39°/13°.

Tomorrow is my follow up appointment with my Opthamologist. I called on Monday to cancel right eye and so far no one has returned my call...frustrating. Will tell the dr tomorrow.

Quote from: walkerwally1 on April 13, 2022, 10:44:15 AMI bought a new iPhone 13, not because I needed it but my carrier gave me an offer that I liked.  I had an iPhone SE 2020 that did not have 5G and this one does.  Do I need 5G ?  Not really but I am a gadget geek and if it is there I always seem to want it.  Thes is not the PRO version but the regular one.  The main difference is in the camera systems and this one does a lot but doesn't have the third lens that offers macro pictures.  It still is amazing how much these phone cameras do and my DSLR camera sits in a corner now.

 ~wow~

I have the SE 2020. I bought it because I didn't want the bigger sized 12s that were launched simultaneously. So the SE was exchanged or is still with you ?

Getting very hot here.

I still have the SE 2020 but I plan to sell it on E-bay.  I can get around $200 there for it  there.  I got this one through my carrier and a trade was not offered but usually what you get for a trade in is not that much.  In the past I have done pretty good selling my used phones, Fitbits, etc.

83 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 71° but heading to 77° today.  We are looking at warmer days ahead but still in the mid 80s.
Geeze, for a PC guy I sure have a lot of Apple products.  I have an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and a Mackbook laptop.  I started years ago with a PC because I really didn't know anything about Apple at the time and PCs were cheaper.  Later I began building my own PCs because it was fun and a way to get a better computer that I could afford.  My desktop is still a PC that I built and it is far more powerful than I really use, I am not really a gamer, but I like to build a PC that is as powerful as I can within certain $ limits.
One of the things about Apple computers is that they are all proprietary and you take it as it comes, no upgrading is available.

123 this cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was 40°, today's forecast is 39°/20° with possibility of snow showers. Great, I have to go out today for my post op appointment and go to the PO.

40o F is cold. I wish there was some way to share temperature and have an average. I'm not very find of the heat and could do with moderate cold. In my earlier years cold was not a problem at all.

Wally, I don't have a MacBook but we almost bought one a couple of months ago when we were looking for a laptop for my wife. Eventually we settled for a Lenovo Yoga. It works as a Notebook and a notepad both. So the option of touch screen with a pen plus a keyboard is what she really liked.

My number is 153 today but I think with some control it could be back into 110-110 in a couple of days.

Yeah, 40°F is cold for sure, it is almost 9PM here and temp outside is 30°F and it is snowing! This is Spring in Montana! Good thing I don't have to go anywhere until Monday or Tuesday.

103 this morning.  We got to 78° yesterday and it should be about the same today.  There is a front going through tomorrow and the temp will drop a bit but still around 70° but windy then back to the 80s.
I much prefer the heat to the cold and I don't really mind it when it gets to around 100° but then it is quite dry here and since I am retired I can stay indoors where it is cool and my car is air conditioned.  When I was working I was outside and it could be quite a challenge when it got over 100°.
I have a Lenovo laptop with windows on it but I bought the Mackbook used on Ebay because I wanted to see how the Mack OS was.  I like the Mackbook because it is so much smaller and thinner than my Lenovo and it has been fun learning to use the OS.  This is a 2017 model and when buying a used Mackbook the thing you have to contend with is that the battery will have degraded to some extent and replacing the battery on anything Apple is not an easy thing.  Mine shows it is at 50% but it will give me about 4 hours on a full charge but I use it at my desk and plug it in so not a problem. Also there is a point where Apple will no longer support a device after a certain period of time and you can no longer update it.  Mine is still within the support time and I have been able to update it to newer versions of the OS but I don't know when it will be too old to update.  Someday I may but a new Mackbook because they are so small and lightweight and easy to carry for travel but that would be for the future.

109 this mostly cloudy morning.

Another 40° was the high yesterday. Woke to 1" of new snow this morning. Today's forecast is 42°/18° with possible snow showers in the afternoon.

Post op went fine eye is looking good. I learned from the nurse that it could take 6-8 weeks for it to completely heal so the slight fuzziness is not unusual. Right eye rescheduled for May 17.

I was so nervous about just going out yesterday my heart was literally racing, I'm afraid this whole pandemic thing has made me an agoraphobic. Today, knowing I don't have to go out I am calm and relaxed.

I have crawled back to 128 today morning. Some improvement, but we are scheduled to attend a dinner tonight. Hope I can control my taste buds.

Wally, the Lenovo Yoga is pretty compact, sleek and light weight. Wife uses it for her business needs which involves sketching a little bit, so the touchscreen with the pen was also a plus.

97 this morning.  We only got to 64° yesterday and it is supposed to be 72° today and windy but so far this morning it is pretty calm.  Warming up tomorrow, Easter Sunday, to 86°.  Because of the low snowpack this year water is going to be at a premium and farmers in the Central Valley are cutting back on how much they are going to plant which is not good news for food prices.
Yeah SKB, the Lenovo Laptop I have is pretty big and heavy and out of date.  I don't have much use for a touch screen but if you use it I can see where it can really be handy.  My iPad Mini is compatible with the Apple Pencil so I had to get one but I am not an artist.  It is fun though to be able to mark up documents though.  I don't really have a need for a laptop except if I travel and I haven't done that for a while.  I will never change from my Windows desktop simply because I am familiar with it and have several programs that would have to be purchased again for a Mack.  The little Mackbook is great for just surfing the internet and checking email and things like this forum.

114 this cloudy morning.

47° was the high yesterday, one snow shower in the afternoon but it didn't stick. Today's forecast is 44°/19° nights still pretty cold. Hopefully the clouds will dissipate so I can see the full moon (Pink Moon) tonight. Still a cvhance of snow flurries in the forecast for today...

I often forget to test at night, especially if I have eaten later than 6PM.
But I always test fasting. That is my only hard fast rule.
