118 this morning.

The high yesterday was 32° it was mostly sunny with some periods of cloud cover but all in all a good start to the New Year. Today's forecast is 32°/29° with snow showers. About 2" of new snow this morning and 24° when I fed the cats. I slept late so it was later than usual.

The Urgent Care was closed yesterday, I called several times before going, so today I'm going to venture out early before the snow get worse and get the stitches out. Then I'm staying put for the weekend as a lot more snow is due over the next few days.

Yes, I think we do become more reflective as we get older. I think that is the "sinking" feeling you have skb. The syncope is an actual medical "lightededness" feeling that can ultimately end in fainting spells. Though both feel similar I suppose.

In my mind I never thought I'd make it to 70 as both parents passed in mid 60's. So for me it is something of a miracle I made it to 75, that was where my thoughts were on the new year. I made a sort of mental turnaround and decided I will be open to being here as long as the Universe decides I can and if it is to 100 then, well, miracles do happen!!  ~ cat ~

A few years ago I had read a research paper by one of the foremost scientist on Genetics. Though some things can be termed as hereditary, he was of the opinion that any illness is not one of them. According to him, every cell is programmed to live its life to the longest possible in the best possible manner. Most of the causes of hereditary illness are that families tend to share and continue with the same habits (mostly eating) and lifestyle.

This is true, and I certainly do eat better and exercise more than either parent so that counts for something.

I don't quite see how some illnesses aren't hereditary though. Like breast cancer, Alzheimer's, things like that. Two occurrences of the first in my immediate family and multiple occurrences of the second on my dad's side of the family, him included. That's the one I worry about....

129 this morniing.

Yesterday's high was 34° mostly fair. Today's forecast is 34°/29° mostly light snow and at my elevation it will turn to rain/snow by afternoon. More snow through Monday is what they say right now.

I was supposed to go back to Les Schwab this morning to have my 4WD fixed, but with the snow still coming down and the roads bad, I decided to postpone until next week. I would feel safer driving there in 4WD but can't so I'm just staying put for now.

Stitches out yesterday and tires rotated so did accomplish most of my goals for the day. Today looks like laundry day and shoveling snow day. And sorting last years bills and organizing papers....

106 again this morning. Our high yesterday was 66° and it is supposed to get a bit higher today with a predicted 69° and it looks like the 60s is where we will be for the next few days.

A bit late to the party today, I slept in more than usual but I do feel much better. I checked my blood pressure a few times and it is keeping in the normal range so I don't have any idea what caused it to go so high but it looks good now.

Yeah, it looks like laundry day for me today also. Organizing papers? Maybe!

102 this morning. Our high yesterday was 70° and now it is going to cool down but just a little bit.
For some reason I didn't sleep well last night. I think I may have done too much with laundry, changing my sheets and moving things around. I am going to get some rest this morning.

118 this morning.

35° was the high yesterday, total of 6" snow.  Today's forecast is 37°/26° with possible snow this morning, but not too much. The. heavier part of this storm is heading East now.

The little dusting overnight was mixed with frozen rain so the ground snow now is really solid, no way I'm even going to try to clear that! The paths I cleared yesterday are good enough for getting around for me and the kitties.

Still have all my receipts folder to get set up and the file for this year's paid bills. It keeps getting put off but really want to get it done today. That is all I have planned for the day....
