128 this morning. Throat is still a bit sore...

45°. was the high yesterday with rain and light snow in the late morning through late afternoon then some sun. Today is supposed to be nice with sun and some clouds, temps 47°/30°. Then tomorrow back to light snow and rain with some (ugh) wind. They say by the end of the month we may see temps near 70!

Didn't accomplish much at Dentist yesterday except getting 2 referrals. One to have my upper plate relined. My mouth has changed quite a bit since initial extractions.Usually something they would do in office but my original dentist has opened her own practice so no one left there to do it. The second is for a consultation with an oral surgeon to discuss the implants. I don't like some of the options they told me about at my dentist yesterday. They aren't really into the implant end of things. I am no where near ready to go forward, but I want to know if it is in fact a viable option for me. I don't want to spend a year dreaming of getting them and then find out it won't be what I want. We are talking lots of money!

Crystal lady comes tomorrow, maybe!

105 this morning. Our high yesterday was 66° and now it is going to start warming up a lot each day and we should be in the 80s by the weekend.

Yeah, my dentist is kind of pushing me to get some implants as I may be losing a couple of teeth in the future but they are quite expensive and as long as I am doing OK with what I have I don't really see a reason. She does do implants and is a very good dentist so I would not have to travel out of town so there is that but for now I will put it off. My dental insurance will pay part of the cost but I would still have to come up with a couple thousand dollars and that is just for 2-3 implants.

Yeah, I'm looking a big bucks if I go through with the whole mouth option (minus my own 7 teeth). I have some questions about the way the implants are done. If I can't have an open palate with the implants, I will have to really rethink the whole thing.  I'm thinking I'm probably looking at around $50,000 give or take. That is why I have to wait for the inheritance if I do anything.

120 this morning. Still have the annoying sore throat but mostly only in the early morning and just around bedtime. Not running a fever, temp this morning was 97.1° so not sure what is going on. I do see an uptick in bg numbers so something is up. But during the day, I feel fine so it is a mystery.

Yesterday's high was 48° and it was a nice sunny day! Today is supposed to be 44°/32° cloudy with rain/snow showers early in the day. Same for the next several days. Not a very cherry start to Spring.

The crystal lady messaged me at 3AM this morning that she couldn't make today's appt. At least my phone was far enough away from my head that it did't wake me up. Who does that?? I had a feeling she would be a no show. Back to Monday's next week.

Almost done with my taxes, just need to add up all my medical/dental expenses and enter it all in my worksheet on the computer today. Tomorrow I can take it in to H&R Block.

103 this morning. Our high yesterday was 70° and it is supposed to be 72° today and getting warmer the next few days and into the 80s so pretty Spring like. I hope we will get a few weeks of Spring before it gets into Summer.

You certainly have a lot more patience than I have Barbara. I would not be in a mood to deal with such a person.

Wow, I got a quote of $18,000 for my implants so $50,000 seems like a lot more than it should be. It would be useful to get the exam and cost estimate and answer your questions so you will have a better idea of what is involved.

That number is not a quote specific to me it is from a couple info sites I looked at online. How many teeth did your $18,000 quote include? Mine will be all my uppers and 6-7 lower teeth. I only have 7 teeth of my own any more, and they are on the bottom. If yours is for 3-4 teeth, the $50,000 sounds more in line. If yours is for a lot more teeth, I'll hope for a better quote from my actual dentist/surgeon.

118 this morning.

49° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 50°/35° and mostly cloudy. Woke to a very fine dusting of snow and now it is lightly raining. That is supposed to be all for the day and tomorrow looks to be nice but then rain on Sunday and Monday. Typical roller coaster weather of Spring!

All I need to finish my taxes is transfer the data to my spread sheet to deliver to H&R Block! Yay!!  That ,and the load of laundry I didn't get to yesterday, is all that is on the agenda for today.

100 this morning. Our high yesterday was 73° and it is supposed to be warming up to 79° today and in the 80s the next few days, high 80s and maybe even 90s.

Well I still have 16 of my own teeth but the estimate was to replace all of the missing teeth. That would change now as my dentist says that I am going to probably lose a couple more of my teeth in the future. I guess that it depends a lot on where you go to have it done.

That makes me feel better, if CA prices for that many teeth are around $18,000, MT prices for what I need, may be much less than the numbers I saw online. I'll know more next Tuesday. And yes, not only does pricing depend on where you go, I think it also depends on where you live.

103 this morning. Our high yesterday was 77° and it should be the same today then warming up again starting tomorrow and heading to 90° by Tuesday then we should be getting cooler and back into the 70s.

I got a good start on getting things cleaned up and sorted out so I think I will keep it going and then there is also laundry so I guess I will keep busy.

115 this morning. Started off the day with a bloody nose. Haven't had one in a long time. It took me a good (bad) 20 minutes to get it stopped enough to go out to feed the cats. An hour later and it is still not completely stopped. Sure hope this is not going to start up again on a regular basis.

51° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 43°/30° with snow flurries and rain in the morning and cloudy skies the rest of the day. Some rainy days ahead.

Think I'm just going to take it easy today.  Got the taxes to preparer and the laundry done yesterday, so nothing really that needs to be done today.

109 this morning.

47° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 48°/43°, cloudy, chance of snow flurries and rain.

I had another nose bleed late afternoon. The rest of the day I really tried to take it easy. I was really exhausted by the end of the day. Slept late this morning and I plan to take it easy again today. The nose bleeds really took a loot out of me, I really don't want any more.

83 this morning. Our high yesterday was 77° same as yesterday and it is supposed to get to 83° today and even warmer tomorrow with the high getting to 90° Tuesday then that is supposed to be the highest and starting to cool down a bit for the rest of the week but still in the low 80s to high 70s. They are seeing the same hot temps in all of Southern California so not only here in the desert.

Gee Barbara, that has to be a problem you have had before. I hope you can get some relief and maybe get a doctors help to find a way to prevent it. I had a real problem with nose bleeds when I was young and the doctor my parents took me to said that my veins in my nose were so close to the surface that it was why but that I would probably grow out of it and I did and never had the problem after I got older but that is not a solution for you.

It's weird, and I just can't put my finger on any kind of trigger that may have brought this back again. I thought it was well behind me. I'm hoping this is just a "one of" well, two.... But I will bring it up with my pcp when I see her in July and sooner if it happens again this heavy.
