A drop of warm ghee should help. Sounds like winter dryness to me.

Maybe, though the last time it was really bad for multiple days was in June a few years ago. I use a product called Ayr, a gel nasal saline with aloe which helps the dryness and it does help for nosebleeds. I hadn't thought of ghee, maybe I'll try that. Had another nosebleed today, so sadly, it looks like the old patten may be returning.

The first one was the worst because I couldn't use my tried and true way to stop the blood fast. I roll up some tissue and stuff it between my teeth and upper lip as high up as possible. That is an "old school" cure that does work. Unfortunately when the first one started I didn't have my teeth in yet so nothing to hold the tissue in place. It was bleeding so much I had to get it stopped some before I could put my teeth in. Once the tissue was in place the flow slowed way down and eventually stopped. The next ones happened in the daytime and I had my teeth in so I got them stopped much faster.

119 this morning.

54° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 56°/43° cloudy with some rain showers. IIt was already 50° when I got up at 6:30 so it isn't going to get much warmer, but I'll take 56°!!

Crystal lady is supposed to come this morning, at this point, I'll believe it when I see her!

Chores for the day are: garbage up the road; go to local Edward Jones and have them fax my Power of Attorney up to the office I use in Missoula; PO; and a stop I missed the other day, the pharmacy for more strips.

I misremembered the other day, my Oral Surgeon appt is Tuesday Apr 8, not tomorrow so the rest of the week is clear.

One bloody nose yesterday, hope for noone today!

88 this morning. Our high yesterday was 83° and it is supposed to be 87° today. The whole West coast is seeing Summer like weather right now and it is supposed to get to 90° tomorrow then it should start to cool down. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow so I get to go out on the hottest day but it is not that bad, nothing like Summer here.
Type 2 since 1993.  Control with LCHF diet.

118 this morning.

It got to 58 yesterday and a fairly nice day even if a bit windy. Todays's forecast is 67°/37° some clouds and light rain early in the morning. Some nice Spring weather.

Crystal lady never showed nor called. She is moving to a new shop but really... I gave her 45min to be just late then left to do my errands. I saw her car outside her new place as I was out. She just totally blew me off/forgot our appt without the courtesy of a call. This time I was not going to call her and remind her...3rd time is the charm, I'm done with her for now.

Got a call from the new dentist that will do the reline on my upper plate yesterday and now have an appt for Thursday to have that done. Hope it helps the plate stay in better.

No bloody nose yesterday, YAY! Hope that is it for now.

94 this morning. Our high yesterday was 88° and it is supposed to be 90° today and then it is going to start cooling down and we should be in the 70s by Friday.

Off in a bit to my dentist for a cleaning and that is just a regular appointment so nothing big.

Yeah Barbara, hope that is done for now and no more bloody noses.

99 this morning. Feeling better, sore throat gone, no nose bleed yesterday and just a slight cough from drainage.

67° was the high yesterday! Today's forecast is 71°/40° mostly sunny. Another nice day! This pattern will go on one more day and then temps drop and rain/snow showers are back.

I bought a new rake yesterday while I was out, my old one was basically falling apart. I am kind of stoked to get out and rake some leaves while the weather is nice. At least loosen them up so the winds can blow them away! LOL!

Dentist tomorrow. They told me no adhesive on the plate so it is going to be interesting going there as the uppers won't stay in w/out some form of adhesive. They may end up in my pocket for the trip there! I just hope it is a process they can do while I am there and I can leave with teeth.

Snap Barbara, 99 for me also this morning. Our high yesterday was 89° and it is supposed to be the same today then we will start to cool down and Friday a big drop of 10° and then we should be in the low 70s so more Spring like. The trees are all in bloom and sometimes you can see the pollen puffing out from them so allergies are going to pop up.

Dentist appointment went really well yesterday, just a cleaning so not a big deal. That will do me until July.

110 this morning. (no bloody nose yesterday) :)

69° was high yesterday gorgeous sunny day! Today's forecast is 67°/38° and cloudy. Days are nice but overnights still cool, it was 34° when I got up this morning, not bad but cool. Weather is supposed to change overnight tonight, rain/snow coming...

Have to leave by 9:30 to get to town for dentist so morning will be a bit rushed, but besides a few errands up in town nothing else on agenda for today.

97 this morning. Our high yesterday was 88° and it is supposed to be just a bit cooler today at 84° then a bigger drop of 10° tomorrow and we should be in more Spring like weather in the low 70s for the next few days. That is welcome before it gets hot. Unfortunately there is no chance of rain in sight.

I hope your dentist appointment goes well Barbara.

116 this morning.

70° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is much cooler at 58°/34° some sun, some clouds. Snow back in forecast Mon & Tues but probably won't be much here down in the valley.

What a difference the reline makes!! They make a new mold of the inside of roof of mouth right over the existing plate. It is pretty thin but it fits so well now I don't even need an adhesive. Suction holds it in place! So much more comfortable!

No plans for today, maybe a laundry. I have a pile of sheets and towels I have been putting off washing...

95 this morning. Our high yesterday was 84° so the predictions have been right on with my home weather station and now they say it is supposed to be 74° today so a big drop but nice. The only thing that is not nice is the wind which has been blowing pretty hard all night and is supposed to continue today and it is so far. I'm not a big fan of the wind but it's a fact of life here.

Glad the new mold worked out for you Barbara. I had an upper and lower partial and could never get used to it and finally gave up. I could never get used to chewing food with it in place and I have enough teeth to still do OK with them so I stopped using it.

It is so much better than the first one done right after the final extractions. My mouth has healed and changed quite a bit since then. There are a couple of sore spots that will need to be addressed next week. He said to give it a week before we started tweaking it. What I hate about it even though it is better, is that it fully covers my palate and you can't really taste food completely. It also just feels weird to me!

I'm now worried about implants because my dentist said most likely they would also cover the palate. That is a no go for me if true. That is why I have a consult with the Oral Surgeon as he knows all about the implants and the different types. That is why I see him next month. I don't want to hang on to the dream of the implants if it isn't going to be what I am looking for.  Might as well just keep the dentures if that is how they will be.

115 this morning.

60° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 51°/34° and cloudy. Now the chance of more snow is pushed back to Tuesday. Fine with that!

Nothing pressing on the agenda for today. I have a pile of things from recipes to implant info I have printed out that I'd like to organize and put if separate folders. Maybe today will be the day for that...
