108 this morning. Our high yesterday was 71° and it is supposed to be 76° today so warming up as predicted. We are looking at mid 80s to 90 next week and I am happy with that for our Spring weather as it will get hot probably starting next month.

Yeah, I am making pretty good progress and I am going to do the same thing and put the papers in a box and my BIL will burn them in the winter in the wood stove in the garage.

126 this morning.

54° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 65°/34° and sunny. And the rain/snow in the future 10 day forecast has disappeared!

My friend is coming over in the afternoon to help change my water filter outside. My hands even with the trigger fingers fixed still don't have the strength to do a lot of things. Arthritis was lurking there besides the Trigger fingers. sigh... Hopefully she will agree to take the first box of papers to be burned. I'm sure she will and with all the old tax papers there will be many more! I'm sure lots of gabbing will happen also!!  ~ cat ~

If there is time, I'll try to get the two file cabinets done in the office. I have 1/2 a drawer in each full of files to go through then I can set them up for current things.

89 this morning. Our high yesterday was 76° and today it is supposed to be 83° so warming up as predicted.

Late to the party today, I just got sidetracked and lost sense of time.

Yeah, now I have file cabinet drawers to go through and that is a lot but not a lot of sensitive items so most will just go into the trash.

It is a good thing for me to go through as much as I can now. In a year to a year and a half we will be moving to Arizona where my BIL has a home that he has completely remodeled and selling this home. It will be a lot cheaper to live there and his brother and his nephew live there also so not going to be alone. The more I can get rid of the less to move.

Well, that is the best reason I can think of for cleaning/clearing out stuff!!  That's exciting. Or is it? LOL, can't imagine moving now at my age. What part of Arizona will you be moving to?

114 this morning.

Yesterday hit 63° and pleasantly sunny. Today's forecast is 62°/37° partly cloudy with a small chance of rain overnight. Weather is shifting back to colder and some rain/snow this week, any snow will probably be at higher elevations. Even so it is nice Spring weather and the days are longer, life is good...

Today is garbage to the road, a quick PO run and stop in grocery store. Then I am going to take it a bit easy as tomorrow I have to drive up to town to have the consultation with the oral surgeon. However, since having my upper plate relined and how well it fits now, I am starting to have some second thoughts about implants..... something to talk to the surgeon about.

75 this morning. Our high yesterday was 82° and it is supposed to get to 88° today. I have an appointment this morning with my dermatologist for surgery on my ear where a biopsy came back positive but is pretty small so it shouldn't be too bad.

Yeah while moving is a big job we will have plenty of help so it shouldn't be too bad. It is going to be Bullhead City and it is on the Colorado river. The home is not on the river, those homes are very expensive, but only about three blocks from the river. He also has a pontoon boat that is docked at the nearby lake so there is a lot of things to do around there. It is also across the river from Laughlin that has become a little Las Vegas and I used to go there a couple of times a year for a fun vacation. I am not a big gambler but the food is very good.

Temperature wise it is a bit hotter than here sometimes but right on the same other times so it won't be a big change. They do get a lot more rain there though from a tropical "Monsoon" season. They call it monsoon so I guess it is.

I think it will be fun. On a plus note I found out that my health insurance will be good there so that is a good thing.

That sounds wonderful Wally! Family and lots to do nearby and a big plus no hassle with your medical ins!! And you're getting it of CA! Sounds like a great adventure ahead of you.

You are lucky to have so many people to help with the move. When I moved here, I did all the packing up and taking everything to storage. Then when I bought my home, my son and a friend's son loaded the moving van with my help. Once here, all the boxes went in the garage and my son and a couple husbands of friends here in MT moved all the furniture in, but I unpacked all the boxes myself. It was all a monumental task and I don't think I could do it by myself like that ever again. You are blessed to have so much help!

124 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 60° and sunny. The rain started lightly late evening. Today's forecast is 57°/37° cloudy with rain showers. Everything is damp outside so no leaf raking for a while.

Well, it was too good to be true to have all the old tax stuff taken away to be burned! I was putting the last 7 years worth of boxes back in the closet and couldn't find 2024's box. Searched all over, then realized it must have gotten mixed up with the old ones. Frantically called my friend to see if they already burned. Nope but had dumped everything out on their burn pile and no way to find this year's stuff. I doubt there is any reason I'd be audited but it is a disconcerting feeling to know I don't have all the info here with me. Oh well....

Oral Surgeon consultation at noon and while I am up in town a couple of shopping stops. I hope to have enough info to make a decision about the implants after this appointment.

105 this morning. Our high yesterday was 86° and it is supposed to get to 89° today then in the low 90s for the three days after today.

Surgery yesterday was a bit more than I expected but it did the job. I got some stitches and it is just a bit sore. It is my right ear so I needed to sleep on my left side and I always sleep on my right side but it worked out OK and I have been having problems with my sciatica acting up at night and really interrupting my sleep and last night I had no sciatica pain so maybe I need to see if the left is what I need to do, I know I would get used to it.

124 this morning.

55° was the high yesterday, though when I look at Wunderground it says it was 65° here. That station must not be anywhere near me! Today's forecast is 58°/30° cloudy with a few showers in the morning.

Appt with Oral Surgeon went OK yesterday. Most of my bones in my mouth are fine for implants w/o any grafting, but the top very front isn't. That removes a pallet free set of implants which would be very, very expensive. He isn't a fan of grafting bone in that area as it doesn't hold for some reason there. Discussed doing lower ones and getting rid of the bridge there and that is where I am leaning at this point. I am semi OK with just doing that considering how much better the upper is feeling after the reline.

What worried me was on the ex-ray it showed something metallic on my arteries on each side of my neck. He said vascular clamps most likely from the spinal fusion surgery where they accessed my spine from the front. I was shocked that no one ever told me of this! But once home and really thinking about it I realized I had my stud earrings still in 2 per ear and I'd bet that is what that was. I can't imagine a dr leaving them in my body and not telling me. Will call them this morning and have him double check the x-ray. If it is in fact clamps I need my medical dr to know this too!

Got my Real ID yesterday while I was up in town. The AAA office does it right there on a walk-in basis. You just have to bring all the documents needed. I hadn't done it on the previous renewal but now it seems it will be mandatory to get on a plane or into any government office in May this year. So after I got the offer in an AAA email I decided to do it.

Nothing planned for today other than the finishing the last file cabinet.

95 this morning. Our high yesterday was 90° and they are predicting 91° for today low 90s for the next few days then cooling down a bit back into the 80s.

I am going to do an upgrade to my desktop computer. I am pretty sure this will be my last one. I wanted to take advantage of the new gen 5 options that do a lot to improve how well it works. I have been thinking of this for a while and the tariffs pushed me to do it now. I am glad I did as after I made my purchases I checked a couple of days after and the cost of most items doubled. I am pretty sure that the sellers were jacking up prices and using tariffs as an excuse because it was stock that they already had but some of the items like the video card were hard to find anywhere. Most of it should get here today so It will. be done soon but maybe not until next week.

I got my real ID at the DMV when I renewed my license last year. It was pretty easy to do as I did have a copy of my birth certificate.

I should have done it my last renewal too a couple years ago. Now they needed not only my birth certificate, SS  card and the usual 2 proofs of physical address, but they also needed my first marriage certificate and the dissolution certificate, and my second marriage certificate. And they made copies of it all! That's a lot of information on a person in one place!

Could the X-Ray technician have missed that when taking the scan ? I'll wait to hear more on it.

I called the Oral Surgeon's office and they reviewed the x-rays. Yes there are metal clips in my neck on both sides. She could also see the earrings separately in the x-ray. She said it is common for them to leave them in after some back/neck surgeries. She said they aren't any cause for concern. They clip off vessels so blood can't flow to certain parts. When I had my spinal fusion they went in from the front to get to my spine and had to move everything in the way to the sides. I guess after the fusion some vessels were not needed any longer? So they left them clipped? It is just weird no one ever told me I had these in me. I will tell my pcp to put it in my files as I don't know if they could be a problem if I ever needed an MRI or CAT scan of that area.

109 this morning.

59° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 72°/42° and sunny. Today is going to be great but then cooling and cloudy tomorrow and rain again the weekend. Then back to nicer weather, typical Spring in MT.

I didn't get to the last file cabinet yesterday so that is the plan for today plus I have a pile of laundry waiting.

I think tomorrow I am going to take a practice run to the Courthouse as I don't know exactly where it is in that town. I'm hoping that when I call Sunday evening I will be told the trial is postponed or otherwise resolved and I don't need to report for Jury Duty next Mon. I need to time the trip so I can plan my morning. I have to be there at 8:30am and it is a 55 mile drive so want to plan accordingly.
