88 this morning. Our high yesterday was 91° and it is supposed to be 93° today. Tomorrow will be the hottest day then we will start to cool down just a bit into the high 8os.

Yeah, with the metal clips in your neck you should let the technician know about it if you ever need an MRI. My heart valve has a metal sheath around it like a stent and I have had a couple of MRIs without any problem but there is a limit on the strength that they can use to be safe they just need to be aware of it. A CAT scan is not a problem at all.

It is interesting how jury duty works where you are. Here you are just told to report to the court house and you are not put on a trial until they select from the people there. You could go the whole day and not be selected and that is the end of your duty or if you get picked from the "pool" you are on that trial until it is over.

It is different here from CA. I suppose it boils down to the available population in the pool. The population of the whole state of MT in 2024 was 1.137 million people. Take away minors and people not able to serve that doesn't leave many relatively speaking. So you get a notice at the beginning of a year you that you have been selected to serve on a jury sometime in that year. Then wait for the dreaded summons letter. That is your notice to report at the given date for a specific trial, to serve. Unless you can prove a good reason for not being able to and have documentation to prove it.

Since I've lived here, this is my second call.  The first time the case ended up settling w/out going to court so I didn't have to serve. That was about 10 years ago.

Yeah, it is different in each county here so what they require changes with the jurisdiction. One time in the LA area I had to report to the court house every day for 5 days and wait in the jury room to see if selected for a trial and never got chosen so 5 days of sitting all day.

106 this morning. Our high yesterday was 94° and it is supposed to get to 95° today then we start to cool down into the 80s so still warm but not as hot.

I have almost all of the new equipment for my computer upgrade but still waiting for one item. I will need to do some things before I do the change like clone the C: drive and copy a bios update that I downloaded to a USB flash drive. Nothing big but it needs to be done before I shut this one down for good.  I won't be out of touch even if it takes a couple of days because I still have my MacBook. I probably will start next week maybe around Wednesday.

112 this morning.

67° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 60°/41° and cloudy.

Not much planned for today, I didn't finish the file cabinet yesterday so that is today's only planned project. My friend brought back all my banker's boxes from the tax files so I may break them down for storage.  Otherwise a lazy day. I am just going to google map the route to the courthouse for Monday rather than drive there today. That should be good enough to get me there.

110 this morning.

61° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 50°/32° with rain showers in the morning. Then the weather is going to get a bit warmer and dryer for a few days.

Really don't have any specific plans for today. Some vacuuming is needed in the 2 spare bedrooms so that is probably what I'll tackle first and other projects will pop up I'm sure while I do that.

I am waiting for a new USB flash drive that is in the mail for today that I need to download the newest BIOS for the motherboard to make sure it is compatible with the new processor. I must have at least a half dozen of them around here but I have looked and can't find one. It isn't a big deal as they are not expensive nowadays but what black hole does this stuff go down!  ~tnk~
