107 this morning.  We got to 85° yesterday and only a light breeze so quite nice.  It is supposed to get to 88° today and no wind so another nice day.
Yeah, California has the highest gas prices in the country because of taxes on gas and environmental requirements.  Back 20 years ago I was driving 115 miles each way to work and getting 15 miles a gallon in my truck.  When gas got to $4.00 a gallon then I bought my Honda Civic and it got 32 MPG and the savings actually made my car payment.  I am sure glad I don't have to drive far today.
According to Siri one US gallon = 3.79 liters.

134 this partly cloudy morning. I guess I just have to put up with these higher #'s for another week until I am done with the steroid drops in my eye. They will probably mess with my A1c at my pcp appointment in July.

60° was the high yesterday with occasional sprinkles of rain. Today's forecast is 67°/44° no rain today.

I hardly drive at all since the pandemic began so the cost of gas isn't really an issue with me. From what I can tell, gas is priced lower here than many places in the US.

In which case, your fuel is way too expensive than mine, which is kinda funny because we have grown up with the idea that fuel in US is pretty cheap compared to here.

Don't know about the conversion, but from what I can tell re the cost of gas here in the US, in MT we are paying less than in many other places.

84 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 87° and it is supposed to be 94° today.  It's June so we will be seeing higher temps but so far not too bad.
I checked on my order for the MacBook and it says preparing to ship so it should not be too long now.  I am anxious to get it and see how well it lives up to the reviews of it.  With the new M1 chip it is supposed to have quite a bit of increased power and battery life so it should be fun to try it out.  I don't know where it will be shipping from but when I have ordered from Apple before it only took 2 days to get here.

I would be too. Apple products are definitely better than  the rest. I'm sure it will live up to your expectations.

The MET says expect rain early and more quantity this year. Yea, so waiting.

89 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 93° and it is supposed to get to 96° today with the wind picking up this afternoon.
I got a notice that my MacBook shipped yesterday and it is supposed to be delivered today.  I am not sure that will happen but I ran the tracking number and UPS says it is scheduled for today so maybe.  Can you tell that I am bored?  I have the 3D printer to play with but it is on a work bench that I have to stand at to use and I haven't been very comfortable doing that so it has just been sitting.  I tried to install Linux on my old laptop to play with but the bios on that is really weird and it will only let you install Windows.  I think it is because of their one key recovery that they had.  That one is going on the junk pile.

What do you think we can do to get them to join in? Do we need to talk more about our journeys in diabetes or what? We have been doing this so long we know the road, but a newcomer may not.

97 this morning.  We had a high of 97° yesterday and it is supposed to be the same today with the wind picking up later.  I think it may be over the predicted 97° because right now at 7:30 AM it is 81°.
We have had a couple of people that have posted and seemed like they would continue to participate but for some reason they disappear.  I really don't have an answer.
I did get the new MacBook yesterday and am in the process of setting it up and installing updates.  Even though it is new there are several updates needed including the OS.  It is really small and light and will be really easy to take anywhere.  The battery lasts for a really long time so you don't have to be able to charge it to use it all day.  The fact that it is small and light is great for portability but I am used to a 27 inch monitor on my desktop so the display on the 13 inch screen looks really small but still easy to see well enough to do anything.  I didn't really spend much time with the old MacBook I had but I am going to do a lot more with this one.

129 this cloudy morning.

72° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 72°/49° with possible thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Need to get out now before any rain starts.

I think, and this is a guess, the issue is that our diabetes related threads are so old that they have gotten buried in a lot of the other stuff. When a person logs in, the first point of impact is the right panel with all the 'New' post buttons and there they cannot see a lot of diabetes discussions happening, and only the 3-4 of us posting. That probably puts them off. I will try to figure out a way to group all of the high value threads together and on top of the page. Maybe, just maybe that will help.

105 this morning.  We only got to 96° yesterday.  I had expected it to go higher but maybe because the winds picked up it held it down.  Same expected today.
Maybe if we were a bit more expansive in our response to a new poster it would help also.  Usually people are looking for answers and we should be a help there.  I know that in my case after someone makes a first post I hope for a bit more information from the poster to be able to give advice that is relevant but it never comes.  I am thinking that I could offer more of a story of my journey and what I have learned to the first poster it may have a better effect and prompt the person to expand on what they have questions on and how they have coped so far.  Maybe not but it could be worth a try.
