Yesterday's high was 71°. today's forecast is 64°/48° with a good chance of rain today and tonight.

skb, I think that is a good idea. There was a thread where we all told our stories about diagnosis and how we got control, maybe that would be a good one to pin to the right panel. There were more of us back in the day and that might encourage new people to post. I also agree with Wally, we ask for more info but get no further response so it makes it hard to start a conversation. Maybe seeing that old thread will show them what and why we are asking for more info.

I have asked almost all the newcomers to go through that and post in that thread. I cannot make them do that. I agree with all of your suggestions and all we can do is try, which we keep doing. The very fact that forums are out and social media has taken over cannot be helped. 10-15 years ago, we would have had 1000s of members by now and a few 100 posting regularly. It doesn't happen anymore, across all types of forums.

100 this morning.  We got to 95° yesterday and it is supposed to get to 97° today then starting tomorrow we will be having highs of 100+° and welcome June. 
I am spending time learning how to do things on the MacBook that I have always done on Windows.  The Apple OS is different enough that it takes some time to learn.  I do find a lot of things are easier to do on the Mac once you learn how and there are a lot of tutorials on Youtube that I have been watching.  I learned yesterday about the Time Machine on the Mac OS that is their backup app and it is quite nice to have backup software built into the OS.  I have an external SSD and when it is plugged into the MacKbook it will now run the backup and I am all for that.  I will continue to spend some time playing with the MacBook each day. 
Yeah SKB, I think that Facebook and other social media apps are where a lot of people nowadays go instead of forums like this.  We do have people come here and post once or twice but they don't stay.  I would like to try and find a way to make it more interesting them to want to stay.

62° was the high yesterday. It rained in and off all day. My knee was hurting I think for the damp weather. Today's forecast is 67°/46° with rain again. Knee is hurting again...

104 this morning.  We had a high of 95° yesterday and it got windy in the afternoon again.  Today it is predicted to get to 100° and it looks like we will be over 100° for a while.  Typical June weather.
I am having fun playing with the Mac and learning about the OS.  The Mac OS has a built in backup system called the Time machine that backs up your system to an external hard drive.  I have it set up and working any time I plug the external hard drive in and it works great.  I have a program I had to purchase to run back ups on my Windows machine.  I learned a long time ago that not having a backup can lead to disaster.

69° was the high yesterday with rain most of the day. Today's forecast is  66°/47° with a small chance of rain. If I go by the pain in my knee, not much rain... Knee feeling pretty good today!

97 this morning.  We had a high of 101° yesterday and it is supposed to get to 104° today.  We will be over 100° for the next few days but 15% humidity helps.  Our evaporative cooler works really well until the humidity gets to around 30% then we have to use the refrigeration unit that cost about twice as much to run.
I watched the Apple WWDC event yesterday to see what is new and it showed the new updates to the operating systems for all of the Apple products which will be available in the next few months and the new MacBook with the new M2 Apple processor.  The new MacBook Air with the new M2 chip will be more powerful than the one that just bought but I am not sorry.  The one that I bought has much more power than I need as it is and for what I do is more than enough.  The new MacBook is selling at $1199 for the base model but they are still selling the one I bought at the same $999.  People are doing things like editing 4K videos on this M1 Mac without any problem which is amazing.  As far as the new OS on the other devices it seems like most of it is for social interaction which I am not in to but there may be some things that I may use.  The MacBook will get a new OS called Ventura with some new features so it will be interesting to try it.

68° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 72°/47°. Spring is finally here, the dogwood has blooms and the lilacs are starting to bloom.

Finished the steroid drops at bedtime last night. Hope it gets out of my system soon so hopefully my bg#'s will settle down some.

The new MacBook Air with the new M2 chip will be more powerful than the one that just bought but I am not sorry.

All electronic product manufacturers are in a race with themselves to outdo what they just did, and you can expect newer models with new features every few months. This has become the game and will never stop. If it does, the company will go bust. I am sure they are working on things right now, that will be released only after 4-5 years, and that some of the newer features/capabilities that are ready will be held back for the next year's models or even later than that.

93 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 104° and heading to 106° today.  It is nice inside the house so going outside in the afternoon is not something I want to do and thankfully I don't have to.
Yeah SKB, you are right.  No matter how new something you get in electronics you can be sure that a newer item with more bells and whistles will be coming out soon.  Trying to keep up with your neighbors drives people to always want to but the newer version and drives the industry.  I expect that my phone and the new laptop will last for a few years but I am guilty of sometimes wanting the newer version of something.  The desktop PC I built two years ago is pretty powerful and I have no desire to upgrade it but there are newer processors and graphics cards that are more powerful and also much more expensive. I am not a gamer but hard core gamers would look at my computer with distain.

My son would love it, I guess. He's into computer games and such things. Not me. I'm more software oriented.
