81 this morning.  We had a high of 880 yesterday and it is supposed to get to 94° today.  It is going to continue to warm up and we will be getting into the low 100s in a day or two.
Well that's interesting SKB, I did not realize that.  It turns out that there are often a variety of ways to do something on a computer.  Switching from Windows to the Apple OS is a bit of a challenge because things are done different but when you learn how to do what you want it is often easier, you just need to know how.
Yeah Barbara, it must be your internet speed that causes your update to time out.  My other MacBook was a 2016 model and it took a long time for mine to update to a new OS.  I have cable and the download speed was running around 130Mb/s then.  Now the company has increased the download speed to over 200Mb/s and that is even better.  Not the speed that you get with fiber but there is a new company in town that is installing fiber lines that will make it available to us sometime but I don't know how long it will take to get here.  I am happy with what I have now though as it takes care of what I want to do.

118 this cloudy morning.

68° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 60°/47° with a chance of rain during the day.

The recent damp weather has made my knee ache more than before. Hopefully the dry weather coming will help. Finished the Keflex, but still struggling with the rebandaging of the splint (on left hand). I am a righty, but am surprised at how many things I do left handed. My older brother was a lefty and he taught me how to do a lot of things so I guess not surprising.

I am a righty too. I guess more people are. But unlike you, I can't do much with my left hand. I've known a couple of ambidextrous people.

I grew up in a fairly dysfunctional family. My older brother, 7 yrs older, taught me lots of things my "parents" didn't have time to do. I deal cards left handed, open jars/bottles left handed, pour juice left handed...so many things I can't even think of off hand. I write with my right hand but so many other things I do left handed. Having my left hand debilitated is really a problem for me.

85 this morning.  We had a high of 93° yesterday and heading to 100° today.
Today is the Summer Equinox which is the official first day of Summer in the Northern Hemi.  Days will start getting shorter now but it will get hotter.  Unfortunately wild fires are going to be a real problem and the drought has hit the South West hard and yet some still deny climate change.
I am right handed and pretty much useless with my left hand.  At times when I have had to use my left hand to do something difficult it has not turned out well.

96 this partly cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was 62° with short periods of rain. Today's forecast is 76°/47° and dry.

I think Summer is my least favorite season. I really don't like the heat. Fortunately we don't get as hot as you do Wally, but some days can be intolerable for me especially over 85°.

Me too. I guess if we had used our left hand for some things from childhood things would have been different.

Yup, this is quite an annual feature. A few years ago I had met a scientist whose area of expertise is soil composition. He was of the view that climate change is real but nothing to worry about because it is cyclic in nature and has happened several times over the millennia. Obviously mankind's progress has been a huge contributor at least to the pace at which things have changed.

103 this morning.  We got to a high of 100° yesterday and we had a surprise thunderstorm this morning although not a lot of rain right here but quite a downpour nearby.  It is raining again right now and we may see more this morning.  Thunder has my dog under my desk which she sees as her safe haven.  Several lightening strikes have started some brush fires in the county but so far not in the forest areas, at least not yet.

We have 2 dogs. They are both mixed breed between Labrador & Indian hound. The female (Chilly) is white and the male (Willy) is black. Chilly does the same thing and rushes behind our sofa when it is thundering. And this is the season for rains so there is a lot of lightening and thunder.

104 this morning.  We got to 83° yesterday which surprised me as it was overcast and raining on and off all day.  Today it is supposed to get to 94° and with the ground wet it will be muggy.  Not very comfortable but it will dry out pretty quick.  The lightening yesterday started several small brush fires but nothing too bad that I know of.  Locally a man in town was struck by lightening but survived but in the Los Angeles area a woman walking her two dogs was struck and it killed her and the two dogs, scary.
I have an appointment in a while with the orthopedist but I don't really expect much.  I am hoping to get his referral to the Spine Specialist but will have to see.

80° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 77°/47° and dry.

Yikes Wally that is scary!! Poor woman and her dogs. Hope you are able to get your referral to the Spine Specialist.

Tomorrow I need to go out to get cat food mostly and a bit of shopping. Still don't have the energy to drive up to town to get my new glasses. Maybe Monday...

That's pretty sad and shows the unpredictability of life.

106 this morning.  We got to 96° yesterday and it is supposed to get to 100° today.  There were a lot of clouds yesterday and the humidity was higher than normal but it is clear today and drying out.
Yeah, the story about the woman and her dogs getting killed by the lightening strike was scary. Here in town the man hit with lightening was pushing a baby stroller and walking a dog.  The baby and dog were OK and when police arrived someone was giving the man CPR and he was revived and apparently he is OK also.

Here is a link to the story

My appointment with the Orthopedist came out about as I expected and he really has no answers but he agreed to refer me to the spine specialist which is what I wanted so we will see how that goes.

124 this sunny morning. Seems high for no explainable reason... Not feeling well, won't be going out today. Have to get cat food by tomorrow hope I feel better.

Didn't catch the exact high yesterday, it was close to 80°. Today's forecast is 68°/43° and dry.

Wally so glad the man in your area was OK, it would have been tragic if the baby had died. Also glad you got your referral to the Spine Specialist. Hope you can get some help there.
