I wonder if this is a recent phenomena? In the sense that almost everyone over 70 complains of knee pain these days. I don't recall anyone from my grandparents generation having this complaint. Probably this is also diet related like diabetes and obesity that have skyrocketed in the past few decades. Just wondering.

Not obesity, I have lost about 20 # in the last few months. Weighed in it 133# when had my finger splinted. I have fallen on the same knee at least 5 times in the last 8 months. This time it seems to be taking much longer to heal. Maybe diabetes related but my #'s haven't been that awful. A few higher ones but not really terrible. I just think I have injured it and have to get it healed enough to get to an Orthopedist for a check up. I just know that pushing things is not good so have to bide my time.

86 this morning.  A cooler 103° for a high yesterday and probably the same today.  It will heat up a couple of degrees the next few days but not above normal.
In my case it is not related to obesity either but it is caused by calcium build up in the joint which causes osteoarthritis and the injections did relieve the pain. 
In another case my SIL who is quite a bit over weight had bone on bone in both of her knees and a knee replacement was the only solution.  She had both knees done and it did solve her problems. 
Type 2 since 1993.  Control with LCHF diet.

110 this sunny morning.

84° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 93°/52°.

I have a call in to my Gastro to reschedule. They probably won't get me back in for a month, hopefully my knee will be able to tolerate the drive by then.

Gastro rescheduled for Oct 3. I knew it would be out there, hopefully knee will be better by then.

81 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 105° and heading to 106° today.  We have a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm the next few days but it is just a small chance. 
I got my new iPad Air yesterday and got it set up without any trouble.  It is larger than the iPad Mini that I had but it is really slim and light for it's larger size.  I was wondering if it would be more difficult to hold compared to the mini but it is not and I do like the larger screen.  I really haven't had a chance yet to see what it can do.
Type 2 since 1993.  Control with LCHF diet.

98 this sunny morning.

85° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 95°/54°. Hoping it stays low to mid 80's, that is my comfort zone.

Enjoy your new toy Wally! I still have and use my original iPad, I also have an iPad mini 2 I think it is I don't use that a lot but do sometimes.

98 this morning.  I avoid all fruits, just can't handle them.  Our high was 108° yesterday and it should be the same today. 
Yes I did order a keyboard/case for the iPad.  I got it on Amazon so you should see the credit.  I did not get the Apple "magic keyboard" at $300 but I got a third party one that has gotten good reviews.  I should get it Saturday and am anxious to try it out.  With the apple M1 chip this iPad is really a small computer and with the coming ios 16 it will have even more function.  The one I got has a keyboard and a track pad and it also serves as a case.  It will make it heavier but I hope not too bad.

126 this sunny morning. Don't know where that came from but, oh well it it what it is.

88° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 98°/55°. Again hoping it doesn't go there...

I've had the weirdest experience with one item in my last Amazon order. Tracking showed it was out for delivery last Friday, didn't show. Then tracking said out for Saturday delivery, didn't show. Then tracking said delivery Sunday, I knew that wasn't going to happen USPS doesn't deliver Sunday. Next it said out for delivery Monday, nope. Now tracking says sorry your delivery is late. Expected delivery 7-26 to 7-29. Tracking provided by Walmart Supplies it was shipped by Amazon supposedly. It isn't anything I can't live without (cleaning supplies) but the whole thing is just annoying. I can go back on the 30th if it doesn't arrive by 29th and apply for a refund...again annoying!

The latest crop of baby raccoons have found the cat dishes outside and now come by around 11PM and clean up anything kitties haven't eaten. At this point there are 5 of them. I'm trying not to over feed so maybe there won't be left overs and they will get discouraged and go somewhere else. They are pretty cute though.

That is interesting.  In my town USPS does deliver Amazon on Sundays.  You can see the USPS vehicles every Sunday going down the street and I have gotten several Amazon deliveries on Sunday.  Amazon pays the USPS to do their deliveries on Sunday.  It must depend on how many deliveries they have in an area.

You are lucky! Out here in the boonies often times we are just lucky to get our deliveries weekdays or Saturday.

88 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 106° and it is going to cool down over the weekend with a 25% chance of thunder storms.  It is going to be pretty hit and miss but I would love to have a downpour.
SKB, hope you get better soon. 
Yeah Barbara, since moving to town our deliveries have really improved.  I was really amazed when we started to get Amazon deliveries on Sundays and even holidays.
