Let's hope for some answers to what went South. In one of your posts you had mentioned some kind of a reaction to one of the new drugs that had been given to you.

126 this morning.  Still a bit high but better so hoping it will continue to improve.
I had an interesting visit with my primary yesterday and she shed some light on what happened to me.  She believes that it was a combination of things and not just one source.  She had access to all of the records from emergency and it was kind of scary.  My blood pressure was so low that the ambulance medics were scared and hit the lights and siren half way to emergency.  I am still going through more testing and evaluation with my PCP and cardiologist and hope to see some improvement as time passes.
Yeah Barbara, it was scary but not that bad when I was first taken to emergency because I had no idea how bad it was.

113 this sunny morning.

78° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 86°/52° with slight chance of rain and a thunderstorm.

Are you still taking the new meds the Cardiologist gave you Wally? Are you starting to feel better? I hope you can get this all figured out and get back to normal soon.

128 this morning.  Still running higher than I am used to but I am sure things are going to be unstable for a while.  Our high here yesterday was 107° so it is still Summer here.
Yeah, I am taking the prescribed meds which is actually only one more than I normal.  The extra med is Lassix which is supposed to help me reduce water retention and reduce the liquid around my heart and lung, I did some research on that and among other causes one of the things that can cause it is kidney failure and that I had.  Even though the kidneys returned to normal the liquid remains but I think the RX is helping and hopefully it will abate before too long.  I will add more information as I get it, I don't see either doctor until 9/7 so I am just trying to be a good boy until then.  ;D

I'm curious too Wally. Is there something we need to be looking out for??

119 this sunny morning. I seem to be running a bit high lately, not sure why, but knee has been hurting more than I expected after steroid shot.

78° was high yesterday, today's forecast is 78°/50° with small chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm. Feels like it is moving into Fall here...

Somehow, I am very averse to any sort of medication, more so because I have lived without them for 12 years now, and I tend to react very wildly to them. In January this year the beta-blocker prescribed to me, dropped my heart rate down to 27 on 4 occasions. They nearly killed me and I decided to just give up on the meds and take it as it comes.

128 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 106° and it should be about the same today.
SKB, I don't have the same aversion to prescription drugs when there doesn't seem to be an alternative.  In this case I don't really know what could be done other than treat with meds. The idea is to reduce the liquid around the heart and lung that were caused by the kidney failure.  This can be life threatening if not taken care of.  I do trust my cardiologist and tend to follow his directions.  I have been taking a beta-blocker for several years and have had no adverse effects but I can sure understand why you would want to avoid it.  I do suspect that the other water pill I was prescribed may have been the cause for my kidney failure but I have no way to verify it.
Barbara, right now I don't know enough to say if there is something to look out for.  I am not sure what caused this to happen to me and so far I haven't gotten a good answer from my doctors.  As I go through more testing and learn more I will post what I find out.

109 early this morning. Woke early, just after 6AM, way early for me!! Sat in recliner about 10 minutes after taking bg and decided to go back to bed. Didn't wake up again until just after 10:30AM. Kitties were sitting on the porches with a * mom! look on their faces...where's our breakfasts??? I have them on a pretty tight feeding schedule and this messed them up just as much as it did me! I really dislike when my normal schedule is disrupted!

78° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 80°/45°. Liking the cooler temps!

I didn't check this morning. Last night there was an India-Pakistan cricket match being played in Dubai. We were up till late night watching the encounter which went to the wire as they say. During the match my wife decided to open a can of beer and I shared a glass. As Shanny used to say, "Beer is liquid wheat" and you know what wheat does to our BG.

Having missed my regular sleeping window I tossed and turned for hours before finally catching a few winks.

112 this morning.  My bg seems to be improving a bit day by day so I hope it is a good sign.  Our high yesterday was 101° and now it is going to warm up through the weekend and we will be at 110°+.
I am feeling fairly good but still tethered to the O2 with a long tube that lets me get around most of the house but it is kind of a drag.  This is attached to a machine that runs all of the time and converts the air to high O2 content.  When I go out I transfer to a portable cylinder and the ones I have last about 4 hours.  Without the O2 I get really weak so I can't do without it right now and that is one of the things I need to ask my cardiologist about.  How long will this be necessary?

102 this sunny morning.

77° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 89°/43°. Hopefully it doesn't get all the way up to 89°.

Wally, I remember the O2 machine well, the noise, the plastic tubing stretched through the house. My late DH was on it his last few months and the canisters when we had to go out to the dr.... Hopefully you will be off it soon.

Hope you can get off the nagging machine soon Wally.

We're now in the midst of the "festive" season which will last all the way up to early November. So that means a lot of bad eating. However, I will try to keep myself away as  much as possible. 137 today.
