102 again this morning.  Our high was 111° yesterday and it is supposed to be the same today.  Southern California is having a problem with the power grid with the heat wave and the strain is on the verge of requiring rolling black outs.  We got an alert last evening but people did cut back and it didn't require that but it is still possible for the next two days until the temp comes down on Saturday.  We are probably OK here but since our source comes from the main gris we could be subject to outages also. 
Oh yeah, lets add a bunch of electric cars charging to the grid!

Another 118 this cloudy/smoky morning.

Missed the high again yesterday, today's forecast is 93°/52° with a chance of a thunderstorm. It is only 68° right now at a bit after noon so doubt it will get into the 90's today.

My MIA case of cat food shows it will be delivered today, I'll believe it when I see it! The replacement case is due here tomorrow so I may not have to go out at all...

Yeah Wally, given the already existing power problems there, adding all electric vehicles sounds like a "great" idea!! NOT!

As a rollover benefit, our dependence on fossil fuels should come down which in turn may benefit wrt climate change which in turn may bring down the heat. But on the other hand the use of batteries has its own cons. So yeah, maybe, maybe not.

102 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 109° and it is supposed to be a bit cooler at 106° today but they are still worried about the strain on the power grid and the threat of rolling blackouts still is present. 
There is a hurricane off the coast of Baja Mexico that is going to bring the chance of thunder storms for all of Southern California and temps will drop a lot with it being in the low 90s here.  We may even see some rain.
I am not against electric vehicles but I think you need to build the infrastructure to handle them before committing to make them mandatory.  Also I believe you are right SKB, batteries pose a real problem that I don't think has been addressed well.
On the health issue I saw my cardiologist yesterday and he says I am getting better.  The fluid around my heart has gone but I am still dealing with some fluid around my lung but that is being worked on by the medication.  I follow up with him in two weeks.  I may soon be able to wean myself off of the O2 and that would be a big thing.

98 this mostly sunny morning. Still some smoke in the air but much less than the last few days.

81° was the high yesterday, had some very windy spells which may have helped blow some of the smoke away. Today's forecast is 75°/49°.

I may soon be able to wean myself off of the O2 and that would be a big thing.

That would be a really big thing Wally, the sooner the better.

Indulged in some horrible eating and the results were horrendous. I've gotten into the habit of giving into my urges quite a lot and my taste buds give in quite easily. It wasn't so back in the day. Having eaten the same food for around 12 years day in and day out, I'm quite fed up of the stuff that is good for my BG. It will take me 4 days to repair myself.

85 this morning.  I guess I am lucky that a large variety of the food I eat is relatively low in carbs and I rarely indulge in high carb items.  At least I am able to keep my bg in control, now to get a handle on the other things. 
Today I am having a CT scan my cardiologist wants to get a better picture of the liquid around my lung.  I am hoping that has come down at least some.

113 this mostly clear morning. Just a bit of smoke , it has been breezy the last few days which has helped clear the air. I don't know why my #'s are high again, I barely eat anything... my appetite comes and goes ... mostly goes.

Temp was mid 70's yesterday, today's forecast is 71°/35° nights are getting very cool.

Surely that's a relief for you. You were feeding them with your Tuna. Hope your Chewy gets through without the hiccups. They have still not responded to my request.

90 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 96° so a nice drop in the temp.  It looks like we will be under 100° for the rest of the month, typical for September here.  There is a small chance of a shower here today as the hurricane off Baja Mexico which has turned into a tropical storm moves North but the main effect will be further South. 
Glad you are getting your kitties food supply worked out Barbara.  Hope it turns out reliable.

Yeah, I'm really hoping Chewy comes through. It has really been hit and miss with Amazon and cat food for some reason. That reminds me, I need to cancel the order that never arrived.

Yesterday's high was 65°, today's forecast is 82°/41°.

The hurricane heading towards California has made it to the news here, so it must be big, maybe not as big as the one that hit Japan.

I wish Amazon shipping was more predictable and better as Chewy is not responsive at all. Supply chains have not been hurt this part of the world, over populated as we are. America needs to make more babies.

105 this morning.  Our high was 92° yesterday so a lot cooler but no rain here.  The hurricane was active at Baja Mexico and headed West out to sea as it got close to California and had downgraded to a tropical storm.  Even though it had downgraded it brought a lot of rain to the Southern part of the state with some areas getting a years worth of rain in one day.  It didn't come far enough North to have any effect here though. 
Sorry you have had such a hard time with Amazon shipping Barbara, I have really only rarely had a problem and things get here usually on time.  I think living in town has something to do with it.
