84 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 97° and it is heading to 100° today for the hopefully last heat wave of the year.  It is going to be triple digits for much of Southern California so probably power grid issues also.

131 this mostly clear morning. I just don't know where these numbers are coming from...

66° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 78°/44°.

Had 2 nose bleeds yesterday afternoon. I'm beginning to think I am allergic to camphor. The patch I used has camphor in it and a couple of the creams do too. I'm going to stick with the Tiger Balm as it is all natural ingredients. The Badger Sore Joint Rub has some Arnica in it which could be an issue, but never had a problem in the years I've used Arnica so that may be in rotation.

Could be the patches as well, since they are causing the nose bleeds, they could very well be causing the higher BG numbers.

87 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 100° exactly and is supposed to be the same today and tomorrow then starting to cool down a bit starting Wednesday.  October will start out in the high 80s which is pretty warm even for here.
Hope you find an answer Barbara.  Nosebleeds are not fun, I know BTDT.

71° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 83°/46°.

Well, I killed my air fryer last night. :( I was roasting about 6 heads of garlic and then was going to do wings in the garlicky oil left in the pan. Took out the trays but the rack would not budge.  I had lost my meat thermometer a few weeks ago and got a new one on Amazon. Well, I found the original one melted into the rack and dripped down on to the heating element. How the heck it got in the fryer, I have no clue other than it magnetically stuck to the tray... I guess I was lucky it didn't burst into flames! It sadly is dead, but I am going to get a new one soon...

Yup, things like that happen. My old TV stopped working, and I shelled out some funds to buy and install a new one. The old one now turns out to be working perfectly well. It was a just a loose HDMI connection. Now, I'm trying to find a buyer for the old one

I searched all over for that thermometer I didn't realize the  magnetic qualities  until I found them in the new one,  Gessh I have to be more careful with the kitchen tools!  You close the thermometer but then closure is magnetic. Lessoned learned !!

105 this morning.  Another 100° day yesterday and it is supposed to be the same today then start to cool down slowly starting tomorrow.
Geeze Barbara, yeah glad it didn't start a fire.  My thermometer is magnetic also and I keep it attached to the refrigerator for a handy location and really like that feature.
My internet was down most of the day yesterday starting right after I had posted here.  It was also down this morning for a while.  There is a new company running fiber through the town, for some reason even though Mediacom has the cable license they will not spend the money or make the effort to run fiber so a new company will do it.  I say a new company but they are active in  many towns around here.  They ran the cable behind us last week but I don't know how long it takes for them to be up and running but I am ready to sign up as soon as they are.  The existing cable I have is fast enough for me, 200+ Mbps, but the interruptions are not OK.

130 this sunny morning. Another inexplicable number...

68° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 85°/42°. Kind of doubt it will get that high.

Yeah, I was lucky using the air fryer didn't start a fire, kind of scary thinking about it. New one is ordered and I am looking forward to using it. I will keep my thermometer well away from it!!

Hope you get your connection issues settled soon Wally. I would truly be lost w/out my internet...

What do you usually do in such situations ? Do you have data along with your cell phone connection. That's what we do. Connect through a hotspot created by the phone.

101 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 101° and now it is supposed to start cooling down but it will be slowly.  Today the predicted high is 99° and it looks like it will drop 1-2° each day.
SKB, no I don't use my phone for data unless it is something important.  My phone plan has a limited data cap but it is pretty cheap.  Actually since the cable company went through our area and replaced the boosters, which were probably many years old, our service has been quite reliable and drop outs that used to be common are rare now so I can't really complain too much.  I am looking to the new company and the fiber option though.
