95 this morning. Yay, a 2 digit #!!

70° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 85°/47° and sunny!

The box is marked Delivered this morning! Yay! I'll go out later this morning and pick it up. I expect the CC people aren't at Target over the weekend, I'll call and check, otherwise my Monday is planned!!  ~ cat ~

My friend is going to finish up the window trim on the outside today. Other than that, and picking up the phone (which will include playing with it a bit) is on the agenda for today.

90 this morning. Our high yesterday was 102° and it is supposed to be the same today.

Hurricane Helene has hit hard in Florida and up through Georgia, North and South Carolina and Tennessee causing major damage destroying entire towns and taking out bridges, a couple of dams and highways. I will take earthquakes any day over this kind of devastation.

Well, glad it finally got delivered. I wonder what in the world caused it to take so long but at last it got there. I hope you are able to get to the CC booth and get it set up and activated.

Yeah, I'll take earthquakes over that too, not so sure about fires, but maybe even them over that kind of devastation!

I called my PO yesterday and they didn't see anything amiss. I got the impression this was "normal" for them. I don't remember such a hang up last time you sent something though. At least it is here now!! Can't wait to pick it up and then get it activated!! I'll keep you posted...

Finally! I have the phone in hand!! Just got back from PO. The box had a red "Hazmat Surface Only" label with an airplane in the corner with a big red line through it. That is probably why it took so long. All ground travel and probably special handling along the way. I suppose because it has a battery in it?

Ah well, it is here an I like it! It is just a smidge bigger than the 7 but will still fit in my pockets easily.

I'm a little afraid to start playing with it, I might mess something up. Consumer Cellular is now in WalMart, they pulled out of Target in MT for whatever reason. WalMart is a bit closer to me so that is fine. I have to call after 11AM as that is when the CC people will be in, if they are in Saturday... otherwise Monday it will be.

Thanks again, and I'll let you know as soon as I am up and running.

Congrats Barb. Hope you enjoy your new gadget. I wonder though, why you abandoned the special thread created for this discussion.

No need for a sorry. It was just a thought. Posting there would give us more number of posts / topics. Maybe, it would help somewhere with Google.

91 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 72°. It may have been a bit higher as I was up in town the heat of the day. Today's forecast is for much cooler weather 68°/33°. It might even dip below freezing overnight.

Nothing on agenda but gathering garbage and watching youtube videos.

115 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 67° by my thermometer. Wunderground reports it as 83°, no idea where that station may be, not near me for sure! Today's forecast is 62°/31°, that I believe. It was 30° when I went out at 7:30 to feed the cats, their "house" was 52° inside. I'm tracking it to gauge when to get a heater going in there.

Today is gather the garbage, possibly a laundry and then put heavier comforter on bed. The cold came quickly and weather reports say we won't see an 80° day again this year. I kind of hope they are wrong...

Bet you forgot to hit post yesterday Wally   :)   it happens....

100 this morning. Our high yesterday was 99° and it looks like we will be just a bit over 100° for the rest of the week.
Well, fudge, I guess I did forget to hit post. I had such a good one too!  ::)

I had a pretty lousy night last night and didn't really get much sleep.  I have been taking Gabapentin for the sciatica nerve pain and I wondered it I really needed it so I decided to stop it last night, big mistake! I am starting it back up right now. I am probably going to take a nap this afternoon.

Sorry you had a bad night. Hope you are better today. I had a very bad reaction when I was given Gabapentin, severe headaches, dizziness, bad enough that it is now on my list of drugs I have reactions to. My then psychiatrist, tried it when she was searching for a drug for depression I could handle after DH passing. We went through a bunch...Paxil put me in Anaphylactic shock! 27 years later, I can't even remember which one worked, so many didn't!
