86 this morning. Our high yesterday was 73° and windy as predicted. Today it is supposed to be 67° and it now looks like we will be in the low 70s and high 60s for the next few days so getting more like Fall every day.

The leaf blower we have is an electric one that plugs in so it takes a long extension cord to be able to get around the yard but it works quite well. There are battery powered options that may be even easier to use but they are not as powerful and may not be up to heavier needs. There are also gas powered ones that professionals use but probably overkill.

They probably would work just fine for powdery snow also.

100 this morning.

Yesterday's high was 45°, today's forecast is 49°/24° some clouds, some sun. Next rain predicted for Saturday.

Dr appt went well. I asked if he thought I should see a vascular specialist for all the swelling in my right leg and all the bulging veins and he said can't hurt.... I so wear compression socks, but they are over the counter and the dr may be able to prescribe some custom to my needs one. I know someone who did that, so it is worth a try.

Still thinking about the leaf blower but just thinking at this point. I need to look through the local for sale ads and also research what I would actually be able to handle on my own.

104 this morning. Our high yesterday was 69° and it is supposed to be the same today. So far there is no rain in sight for here but it would be really nice to get some.

I don't know what kind of leaf blower would be best for you Barbara but if it is the type that needs to be plugged in you will need an extension cord long enough to reach all of the areas you need to use it. If it is a battery type it will go anywhere you need it but from what I see on reviews they are not as powerful so they may be just fine but I have no experience with one. The gas powered ones that gardeners use are really powerful but they are harder to use.

Yeah, so many choices and factoring in that anything I would get would need maintenance that I'm not sure I want to deal with. Another expense I'm not sure I really need. I will probably end up just raking or maybe ask my neighbor that mows my lawn occasionally, if he can lawn vac them up.

112 this morning. 27° when I got up.

Yesterday's high was 41°. Today's forecast is 44°/22° overnight the prediction added snow for this morning turning to rain showers overnight.  Sigh, I hope we can get the pipe wrapped before much happens!

104 again this morning. Our high yesterday was 69° again so two days in a row with the same bg and high temp. It is supposed to be just a bit warmer today but pretty close to the same.

Tonight is Halloween and here we don't really get any trick or treaters, they are mostly going to the more affluent areas and their parents actually drive them there!

In the 20 years I have lived here, I have never had a Trick or Treater!! An advantage of living out in the boonies!

107 this morning. 24° when I got up 6:45AM.

Yesterday's high was 42° with a few snow flurries late morning then some rain late afternoon.

We got most of the work done on the heat tape project yesterday, just a little work left on tweaking the skirting so the panel that has to come off to access the water filter has handles/latches on it for easier removal in the future.

I'm having a hard time deciding on which printer to get. I don't see many/any 5 star ones on Amazon so I guess I am going to have to make the trip up to town. Maybe I'll do it next Monday. Hate to shop there on the weekends!

I need to do a laundry today and run the vacuum. That's about it beside finishing the outside project with the heat tape.

101 this morning. Our high yesterday was 75° and it is going to be a bit cooler today but it looks like we will be around 70° for the next few days. Still no rain in sight here but there is a small chance of showers closer to the coast.

I don't really have a recommendation on a printer for you Barbara. A lot depends on how much you are wanting to spend. Mine was $400 so not cheap by any means but it had some features I wanted. I have had several printers over the years and the brands I have had are Epson and Canon and some have been fair and some not so good. They all have failed after a while and maybe it is just a good thing to get the cheaper model that is not expensive to replace as long as it does what you want. I got so tired of replacing the print cartridges and how expensive they were that I decided to go with the tank printer. I tried the after market cartridges and they were not that good either. The printer manufactures try to make it necessary to use their cartridges and they are so expensive that you can end up spending more than the cost of the printer if you print a lot but if you only print a small amount then it is probably worth using the Mfg. cartridges to prevent problems.

One thought I have is a Brother printer. I had one that I used for a couple of years and then gave it to my BIL and he has been using it for several years and it is still going strong. He uses it to print out invoices and quotes so it is not heavy use but it is still going. One I saw on Amazon was :
Brother printer

I would not use the subscription as I think it is for someone that printed a lot and the cartridges are available on Amazon. It is just an idea but may be a good choice and it has an app that is on the Apple app store. It can be connected by WiFi or a cable.
