98 this morning.

41° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 37°/30° cloudy with some snow in morning turning to snow/rain with no accumulation in the afternoon.

Didn't sleep well last night, some sort of cat ruckus in the front yard around 1:30AM then I had a hard time getting back to sleep. Took last antibiotic this morning so I don't have all the annoyance of scheduling my eating my yogurt and other things that cancel them out any more.

Leg was sore yesterday after I put a bandaid on it. I did use some Aquaphor around the edges on the stitches so will see how that looks when I change dressing today. I think the ache is actually the bruised area around the wound where the TV hit but didn't break the skin.

I also figured out the general aching I was experiencing was because I had stopped the Meloxicam for this week as I was taking Advil for the pain and they don't mix. Back on it today and the aches should lessen soon after.

Collecting garbage and a little shredding to go with it, is all that is on the agenda today.

84 this morning. Our high yesterday was only 61° and the predicted high was 67° so I checked a few of the weather stations nearby and we all agree so the prediction was off and the Weather Channel is usually pretty good for here. Today they are saying 73° but at 7:30AM it is 34° so that may be off again.
I am still feeling off but I am not running a fever and no congestion so I may just need to rest and take it easy but if it doesn't get better I will see a doctor.

123 this morning.

High for yesterday was 35° with about an inch total of snow that was wet and slushy my least favorite kind of snow! Today's forecast is 35°/21° with some snow in the AM hours. More snow coming mid week through the weekend.

Only chore for the day is driving garbage to head of the road. I'm sure something else will pop up!

88 this morning. Our high yesterday was 74° so we are on a roller coaster of temps right now. Today the prediction is for 66 so we will see how that goes.
Well, tomorrow is New Years eve and that means the locals are going to be setting off fireworks so poor doggie is going to have a bad night but hopefully not too bad. These are illegal fireworks in town but local authorities don't try to do anything about it so they are going off all over town.

Yeah, the cats get terrified too. I'm hoping their garage house will feel like good shelter for them but I'd bet they end up under the house. I haven't heard anyone shooting off anything yet which is unusual. They usually start with one or two a night right after Christmas. The weather is so damp and cloudy maybe it will be a quiet year. But then that might mean they drag it out over days, which is worse!

99 this morning. I spent most of yesterday in the ER and I am OK now but really tired, didn't get home until around midnight so I am going to get some rest and share the details tomorrow.

129 this morning.  Slept late so the first bit of the morning was somewhat frazzled as I tried to catch up.

Yesterday was 37°, today's forecast is 34°/20° mostly cloudy with just a small chance of a bit of snow in the morning. The snow that fell yesterday is still on the ground it never melted off yesterday, really crunchy to walk on this morning!

Nothing on the agenda for today. Just have to clean out my files of 2024 bills and start the tax organization. Then get the first of the 2025 bills filed in their places. Go through 2024 wall calendar and put in all known appointments/to do's/Birthdays. Then I will be all set for the New Year.

I can't believe I am still here and it will be 2025!! 1997 me, (watching 69yr old DH dying) couldn't imagine a me at 75, still here in 2025!! End of year reflection....

Yes, time goes by and only the memories remain. Being alone for so long has it's ups and downs, but you gotta hang in there.

Oh, I'm hanging on, no plans to go any where any time soon! Since I made it to 75 in relatively good shape, I'm going to aim for 100 now! Wouldn't that be something???

99 this morning. Our high yesterday was 62° and we are expecting 65° today so staying pretty close to the same.

Well, we don't really know how long we have on this earth but we do our best to make it as long as possible. On my trip to the ER Monday it was something that actually has a name. It is known as Near Syncope or PreSyncope and it is the feeling that you are going to pass out but then do not. I have been having those feelings for a few days before that but it was getting more often and worse and finally it really worried me and that was when I had my BIL call for an ambulance. On the good side they ran a lot of tests and everything came out OK so while it is a strange feeling it is not due to anything seriously wrong. I still get that feeling once in a while but not as often as I was having so I guess I can ignore it.

128 this morning.

34° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 34°/20° cloudy with small chance of snow around noon.

Glad it isn't something really serious Wally. I've had that diagnosis several years ago when I was feeling very light headed and dizzy like for a while, ending with me actually passing out and banging myself up pretty good. Like you, apparently something that comes and bothers you for a while and then passes. My dx was Syncope w/o the near or pre prefixes. So I guess full on??? Whatever, it passed and I only have very fleeting episodes now.

I think I am going to go get my stitches out today. I was going to show up right at 9AM when they open but it is too icy outside for me to want to drive even the 10 or so miles there. I'll wait a bit and see if the road looks better. Wound is finally feeling pretty good, I'd just like to get the stitches out!
