106 this morning. Our high yesterday was 65° again and the overnight low was 32° so on the cool side and our high today is supposed to be 58° so it's going to be a bit cooler next week, not cold by your standards Barbara but cool.

I guess I am fortunate to be still in the 5% range but I have enough other problems that I hope keeping my BG in control helps. I was actually in the 4% range at one time but I wanted to expand my diet to add more vegetables for the nutrition and that brought me up into the 5% range but I am good with that

My Amazon orders are all delivered by USPS or UPS so I have never dealt with the Amazon delivery service, it is not available here, but for the most part I get my deliveries pretty much on time so maybe I am glad that Amazon doesn't use their own delivery service here!

Of course the fires are still the major news content around here and there is still quite a danger for many areas and several thousand still under mandatory evacuation. The winds are much less right now but they are expected to ramp up again starting Monday into Wednesday so that is not good. This is going to have an effect on everyone, even those like us that are not in a fire prone area. Last year after the Park fire that destroyed many homes our home insurance went up $800 so this will absolutely be another increase. Of course nothing like the disaster of people that lost their home and all that was in it but still it does hurt a bit.

Yeah, I was in the 4% range from 7/13 to 12/16 2.5 years, but like you needed to loosen diet. Then in 5% range until 7/24 8.5yrs. By then had gone off the wagon even more. I don't need or even want to be in the 4% range any more but just would like to be at least high 5%. Same as you, I feel keeping the diabetes in control can at least help keep other things from getting worse.

I am surprised Amazon isn't making deliveries in your area. They have been doing it here a fairly long time. Well, maybe they are testing in smaller areas before hitting big volume areas. Up until this fiasco, they have been really good and even deliver on Sundays which no one else does. They only have 10 of the actual Amazon vans in Missoula, the rest of the force is rental vans still.

The fires are indeed terrible! I saw a snippet of an interview on the Weather channel on TV last night about the water problem. He was saying that so many homes have burned to the ground their water delivery pipes were so damaged by the fire that a lot of them are leaking water causing many of the hydrants not to be functional any more. That is really scary.

I hear you on the insurance hike too.  You state seems to be having lots of issues around ins. already. I got a big hit last year when for some reason the State of MT decided to up the rates on mobile homes. Maybe because of the influx of new people many starting in mobile homes, that I guess are taxed in general lower than a brick and mortar home. My ins doubled last year from around $600/yr to over $1200/yr.!! This on a mobile home built in 1976! I do have 1.2 acre land, but still!!  Thank goodness at least the State give a discount on Property Taxes to seniors so I only pay 20% of what the bill would be.

But that is all just money, those poor people that are losing everything and even dying are sooo much worse than my petty complaints.
