Quote from: walkerwally1 on February 20, 2025, 10:52:28 AMYeah SKB. I had a large collection of movies on DVDs and a few years ago I did sell a few on EBAY but threw out the rest. I had a collection of vinyl albums and a few years ago I threw them out as they were not wanted by anyone as DVDs were what was the thing then and now the younger generation have gone for "retro" on everything and vinyl records are in demand now and record players are in demand. The records I threw out would bring a high price now. Who knew?

Really? I may have a gem in the garage! It is an AM/FM stereo, tape player, 8 track, record player combo with 2 speakers. It is a Sears brand. DH used to play all his records on it after we moved to the mountains and sold the old wooden piece of furniture record player. That has got to be worth something!! If it also had a disc player, I'd bring it in and use it myself but alas, no. I also have 2 miik crates full of records, mostly classical but some Musicals sound tracks, like My Fair Lady, etc.

ETA: This is very similar to the one I have:

Yeah that is worth something. I don't know if you would want to put it on EBAY but there are probably some outlet near you that would love to have it.

107 this morning. Our high yesterday was 70° so cooler than the day before and it is supposed to be the same today then we will start to warm up and it is still supposed to be in the 80s next week.

Nothing on my schedule for today so just going to take it easy. Probably doing laundry will be my big chore today.

120 this morning.

40° was high yesterday, today's forecast is 44°/34° cloudy maybe some rain showers. Now we are under a Flood Watch. With the sudden warming and rain, the snow will be melting quicker than it normally would. I think Spring may be making an early appearance. The little birds that nest in the bird house under the eaves at the peak of the garage roof are already back, plus yesterday and the day before several flocks of snow geese flew overhead. They must know something! Can't say that would make me sad!!

Good trip to podiatrist yesterday despite having to wait over an hour for my appt. I stopped in a local department store and scored two pairs of nice Winter boots for under $100! Pays to shop end of season! Winter will come around again next year! Kind of a splurge but I haven't had nice snow/Winter boots for a very long time. Hiking boots have been my go to, so these are a nice luxury.

Nothing except perhaps some chipping away at ice by garage on agenda for today. Maybe more clearing out/organizing and getting my taxes started....the dreaded taxes!

101 this morning. Our high yesterday was 68° so a bit cooler than Thursday but it is supposed to get to 72° today and then warming up into the 80s next week.
Yeah, the snow geese have left here a while ago. It never really got that cold here this Winter and I am expecting a hot Summer.

Yesterday was laundry day. Funny how a simple chore can be the big thing I do for the day but I am happy that I can still get it done by myself.

110 this morning.

49° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 46°/37° cloudy with rain. Rain overnight started the melting and my garage on the car side is starting to flood. I've got to get out and get the snow/ice removed from the pad so it won't drain into garage much more. Lots of hard work ahead that I'm not looking forward to but needs to be done asap.

That work will probably be it for me today, just hope my knee holds up.
