101 this bright sunshiny morning!

Yesterday's high was 52°. Today's forecast is 54°/25° and sunny!!

Today, I have to get all my inheritance papers organized and in a folder off my work table in the office. Right now they are spread out in piles sorted by Mom's Trust and brother's Will. I need to clear the space for when the crystal lady comes Monday. Tomorrow I am going to make up several flats of crystals for her so we don't go picking through all over once again. I want to make the meeting as short and to the point as possible. I just don't have it in me to deal with her "scattered energy" right now!

Then I will get back to the taxes! I will........   ~ cat ~

Sometimes I just hope that autocorrect will let me know if I need to check if it is correct. That is taking a chance for sure but sometimes it works.

104 this morning. Our high yesterday was 77° and it is supposed to be 79° today although it is overcast right now but the sun should be poking through soon. Tomorrow it is predicted to be a pretty big drop to 62° and windy, ugh, but that is going to be the coolest day then warming back up a bit.

My taxes are pretty simple and I got them done after the first  week of February. I use Free Tax and do them on line. I have been using them for several years and they have all of my previous return saved in my account so much of the things are filled in and I only have to enter the new things so it goes pretty easily. After everything is entered and checked they file them with the IRS and State for me and I print them out for my records.

118 this morning.

52° was the high yesterday, today looks to be about the same with a forecast of 50°/32°. At least the morning will be warmer, it has been 19-20° the last few days. Maybe the water bowls won't be frozen tomorrow morning!

Yesterday morning when I went into the kitty house to feed them, after I put the food trays down and walked over to the little platform they have their cat beds on, a raccoon darted out from under it! They had all been sleeping inside as I went in so I guess it fell asleep after cleaning up any food the cats left! It was as surprised as much as I was! I just hope it doesn't make a habit of it....

Today's project is putting together some flats of crystals for crystal lady's Monday meeting. Also need to drag old cardboard boxes off front deck in prep for breaking them down for garbage day. Then setting up a couple new ones. That may be premature as I know we'll have more snow/rain, but II have lots of boxes so no loss....   ~ cat ~

106 this morning. Our high yesterday was 81° and that is going to be the end of our heat wave as it is supposed to be 61° today and  windy then we should be in the 60s for the next few days.
I didn't sleep well last night so probably going to take it easy today and may nap a bit.

116 this morning.

50° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 43°/30° cloudy with rain/snow showers in the evening/night, possibly 1" snow. Then back to mild/cloudy weather with no rain/snow for 10 days.

Hope you are feeling better today Wally. I know well not getting a good nights sleep really messes with the next day. Hope today will be a good one!

All set for crystal lady. I really made some great deals for her, basically around 1/4 or less than I paid. I could use some quick cash to make final payment to the lawyer for the PoA/Death Deed on Wednesday. Also just wanted to make the visit as short as possible...

Garbage to the road, to Edward Jones for deposit crystal lady's check and a load of laundry is all for the rest of the day.

104 this morning. Our high yesterday was quite a bit cooler at 63° and quite windy and it is supposed to be the same today but without the wind so that is good.

I did get a good nights sleep last night and I do feel a lot better.

It does suck that you are having to sell your crystals at such a loss but I guess you just have to take what you can get. There are options on line like Etsy or the Facebook market place but it takes time and then you have to package and ship them. I have some electronics that I could sell but I put it off for that reason.

I'm OK with this batch going cheap. It is kind of a reaction to all the stresses around the inheritance, anger/frustration. I am going to tell her that and that there are other things will not be so deeply discounted, but still well priced nonetheless.

These crystals were to be my back-up income if it became necessary. Now, with the inheritance, whenever it does come, that need isn't as much of an issue. It could take a year to see the inheritance, but I am just fine, and can wait for whenever it does come. So not so pressed to get my actual costs on the crystals now.

118 this morning.

43° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 47°/31° and cloudy. Looks to be about the same most of the week. Not as cheery as having sunshine but far better than having snow!!

Crystal lady never showed up and hasn't contacted me at all yet. I'm leaving that ball in her court. I'm annoyed I spent all the time preparing for her!

Went to PO after taking garbage to the road and joy of joys, I have Jury Duty Ap 14-16!!! Just what I needed right now! NOT!! I need to call as soon as they open to check if it is still OK to mail my Jury form (past 3 day return window) or if I should drive it down today.

I was hoping for a quiet day today doesn't look like that is going to happen.

101 this morning. Our high yesterday was 64° and it is supposed to be 70° today then cooling down again to the low 60s but at least the wind is out of here for now but coming back in a day or so.

I have served on jury duty a couple of times but I now have a permanent exemption because of my age so I am not sad about that. It is always in Bakersfield and that is about an hour and a half drive and I just don't do that any more.

Yeah, the crystal lady seems like kind of a flake. At least she could have called.

I served once in CA probably 25-30 yrs ago. Ohh, age! I'm hoping that will maybe disqualify me! Also the fact my DD is in law enforcement Police Chief in big Nor Cal city might give me a pass too.

Yeah, crystal lady has always been a flake, but she always showed up for appointments.  And frankly her energy not something I really want to be around right now any way!

It sounds like I am selected. When I called in this morning to see if I could still mail my questionnaire, she asked my name and then checked the case and said the case was still on, so yes I could mail my form in. They may have some alternates selected too, but it sounds like I am chosen. We are a small state population-wise and I suppose they have limited people to choose from so you get the letter, you're on the jury.

I got a letter mid June last year saying I was on the Jury summons list for a year. All this time  nothing happened, so I was thinking maybe I dodged that bullet. But it seems not this time. There is still a chance the case can be dismissed w/out going to trial. You have to call in the night before, to make sure the case is still on the docket, so there is one last chance it won't happen.  (fingers crossed)

127 this morning.

High yesterday was 45° and it was cloudy most of the day. Today's forecast is 45°/28° and partly cloudy. Looks like decent weather still for at least a week.

Lawyer appt at 3PM and a load of laundry all that is on agenda for today.
