Surprise!! After going to the Courthouse and starting to read all the rules and explanations of the process, the Judge called all 50 of us to the courtroom to tell us the case had been settled over the weekend. She had to gather us still until the agreement was formalized in court on Monday. So we were all released and it counts as us serving for this "Jury Year". (The Jury Year runs July to July.)

So glad I don't have 3 days of disrupted schedule! We still get paid for mileage and the $12 for showing up. If one serves also there is an additional $13/day.  I'm happy with the $12 plus mileage.

I had barely gotten back home close to 10am and the crystal lady messaged me that she was on her way. Sheesh, our appt was for the 21st! I quickly messaged back wrong date, but OK to come. Figured might as well since I had nothing else planned for the day... Just not quite how I wanted to spend the free day, but it cleared out more crystals so in the end it was OK by me!

113 this morning.

It got to 59° yesterday, today's forecast is 70°/38° and sunny. Since no jury duty it's a "free" day. Nothing planned so far but I'm sure I'll find something to do!

One interesting thing I did find out yesterday from a person on the other forum I frequent. There is a bill going through the MT Legislature (SB137) to add people over 75 to the "undue hardship/illness" list of reasons for declining service. From what I can find online it is about 75% through the process of passing. That seems a fair option to me.

102 this morning. Our high yesterday was 89° and it is supposed to get to 87° today and cooling down a bit for the next couple of days.
That was a good outcome Barbara. It always cracked me up that here they paid you milage one way how they came up with that I don't know  and the fact that it is a 75 mile drive one way it is not insignificant. Here they already have the undue hardship in effect and I received permanent exemption when I turned 75.

For some reason I have not been feeling well for the last few days. Pretty much exhausted and shortness of breath so I am going to try to get an appointment to check it out.

103 this morning.

59° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 62°/32° partly cloudy, Bad air advisory (maybe from controlled burns) and on top of that a wind advisory from noon to 9PM for winds 20-39 mph, gusts 40-50mph. Did I ever say I hate the wind??? Yeah, I really hate the wind!!

Hope you got into the dr yesterday Wally and are feeling better today.

Picking a new spot to clear out. The closet in the back bedroom, my library, filled with shelves of books. The closet has a bunch of boxes with Christmas decor and other things I didn't want to store in the garage. Some old toys and some Barbie items/and sewing patterns that will probably sell well. Got tired of going through office stuff.

Otherwise not much planned for the day.

Well, I ended up in the ER for most of the day with congestive heart failure. I have fluid around my heart the same as I had about a couple of years ago. Then I was admitted to a hospital until they felt it was OK to send me home. This time I was on diuretics until the doctor felt it was OK to send me home and I have a prescription to take for the next week. I am still feeling pretty weak so I am just going to take it easy and see if I can get in with my cardiologist.

My goodness Wally! I'm glad you got yourself to the dr when you did! We really do have to listen to our bodies and act when we feel something is wrong. Hope there is nothing serious going on with your heart and the diuretics get you back to normal soon. Take care!

125 this morning.

60° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 62°/32° mostly sunny. Cooler temps and still around freezing mornings for the next week or so. The lilacs are starting to bud and I worry about the cold mornings. One hard freeze and I won't get any flowers this year. It has happened a few times.

Today I want to replace a couple of the box shelters on the front deck for the cats. I have emptied a couple of very sturdy shipping boxes from padded shipping envelopes that will make long lasting "houses". More sorting inside too.... The other project I have for the next couple of days is to get items weighed and priced for the crystal lady on Monday.

95 this morning. Our high yesterday was 81° and it is supposed to be a cooler 75° today and tomorrow then going back up a bit to the mid 80s but nice overall.

I am feeling a lot better today and I am taking the diuretic prescribed and it seems to be working. I am still limited on how much I can do but that is improving so it looks good. I had this about two years ago but it was much worse and I was in the hospital for about 5 days then sent home and was on oxygen for a few weeks. My BIL is a big help right now so that is really important.
