Ami,
I've heard that you can bring down fever by keeping a piece of onion under the armpit. Is that true ?

TAKING CARE OF HAIR.

. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera contains enzymes that directly promote healthy hair growth. Also, its alkalizing properties can help bring the scalp and hair's pH to a more desirable level, which can greatly promote hair growth.

Regular use can also relieve scalp itching, reduce scalp redness and inflammation, add strength and luster to hair, and alleviate dandruff. Both aloe vera gel and juice will work.

Apply aloe vera gel or juice onto the scalp.
Leave it on for a few hours and then wash it off with lukewarm water.
Repeat the process three to four times a week.
You can also consume one tablespoon of aloe vera juice daily on an empty stomach to enjoy better hair growth.

I have one that I have used for years. To keep ants out of the house sprinkle ground pepper across the doorway threshhold.  Works like a charm!

hello to all, any idea how to deal with lizards in the house?

in singapore the tiger beer and balm are very famous.  ;D the balm is used for multi purpose stuff. most small niggles can be solved with that.

My mom used to do this with us kids as well.  Also, she would sometimes wet a cotton ball with witch hazel and we would rub that on our foreheads.  I always liked the scent.  I was also told that placing a cool cloth on the back of your neck would help with a fever.  It does feel good, that's for sure.

Tired eyes ? So much of tv and computer!

Two table spoon of milk ,some drops of rose water ,a cube of ice ,take 2 cotton  swab dip in the milk ,squeeze a bit , lie down and put the swabs on the eyelid and relax for 10 to 15 minutes .

When I was in college after long study hours , I use or grate a cucumber squeeze out the water and place it on my eyelid , most of the time I use to go into a deep nap.

Oh, that is a good one!!  I've got a cough with my allergies.  I am going to go cut some ginger right now!!

edit to add: So do you let the ginger sit in the salt a while before using?  Got some in the fridge with Pink Himalayan salt right now!

I think letting it stay for 10-15 minutes should do the trick. The ginger will let off some water to indicate that it is ready. Keep the ginger in your mouth & chew slightly (if possible). Let the extract flow over the infected throat area. This should provide some immediate relief.

Bigskygal,

I've also heard that keeping a half cut raw onion next to your bed for the night is able to draw a lot of the bacteria/viruses. Might help with the allergy.
