You should employ the eat-to-your-meter technique and see how high the cookies spike you. If they take you beyond the upper limit you've set, then you shouldn't eat them. And the other thing is any time we eat carbs, our livers grab onto them to add to its glycogen inventory, and they come back to bite us another day.  :(

I don't think that it is going to be fine. Surely, your meter will say "Nay". I speak from personal experience being a cookie freak myself. After all sorts of trials & errors we had to eventually start making LC cookies at home.

My guess is rocky, you will need to even test the Diabetic Friendly ones. Do use your meter.

I keep a can of mixed nuts (without peanuts) and another can of macadamias right beside my chair and a mouthful is usually all I need to squelch the munchies.

The ones to watch out for are peanuts & cashews. They're a little carby.

thanx. i think i'll copy that. no cashews n peanuts, right ?

I would say discontinue the cookies.

"Diabetic Friendly" stuff is sheer nonsense, and is to be avoided.

Macadamia nuts are decadently delicious :)  Good job Rocky on giving up your morning cookies - hope you find a substitute that feels like a treat and keeps your BG readings down :)  I bring two celery stalks filled with cream cheese to work with me in the mornings.  The richness of the cream cheese satisfies my need for something sweet.

Here's a single serving cookie that I make:
