Down with heat stroke

any tips to beat this Mumbai heat ! Feeling sick with heat !anyone ? Sipping salt lemon water for the time being !

That's what I drink, Ami . . . I fill up a quart carafe with water & ice, then add a dash of salt & a splash of lemon juice. When it's empty, I fill it up again. Just make sure you drink a LOT - gotta stay hydrated, and that's hard when it's so bloomin' hot.

My BH used to be overcome when he was gardening all day & would forget to drink . . . I came home from work one time & he was so bad he could barely walk to the car to meet me. I got him in the shop & he laid down on the cool concrete floor . . . I had a thermos of water, but didn't know whether to have him drink it, or just pour it over his head to cool him down quickly. It's scary!

Ami - any relief from the heat in sight?  I make lemon ice cubes in the summer and pop a few in a glass of water when I get home, but I think your heat is probably worse than what we normally have in northern California.

yes thank you I am much better, we are now preparing for the rains so its very humid , hot and stuffy...........yes I have lemon and salt water with ice and also make butter milk with yoghurt, that is keeping me going for  now. once the rains r here it will be much better.

the heat is pretty bad here too. the buttermilk sounds interesting. will try it for sure.
