Good morning,
I'm Type 2 since 2005 and currently receiving my treatment via the San Diego CA Veteran's Association. My most recent A1C was 7.3. Looking forward to learning from others.

I am also a T2 officially diagnosed in 2007 but definitely diabetic since 2005 or maybe a couple of years earlier. We all learn from each other, though due to the shrinking Forum space in general, our numbers of posting members has dwindled too. Even so, I would suggest going through some of our Forum Links in the Right Panel and also reading through the Articles written by our members. These are on our Home page.

I too am a T2 diagnosed 2012, like skb, I probably was T2 before the dx. My latest A1c was 5.5% thanks to a primarily low carb/high fat diet.

Welcome and hope you can get some answers of any questions you may have or just join in on our daily banter.  I was diagnosed in 1993 and just followed my doctors advice but I never had good blood sugar numbers until I learned from people in forums like this.  I was able to get my A1c down to the 5% level ever since and that has been about 12 years.
