Diabetic patients, whose natural wound-healing capabilities are compromised, often develop chronic wounds that are slow to heal. Such non-healing wounds could cause serious infections resulting in painful outcomes such as limb amputation. To address this global healthcare challenge, a team of researchers from the National University of Singapore (NUS) engineered an innovative magnetic wound-healing gel that promises to accelerate the healing of diabetic wounds, reduce the rates of recurrence, and in turn, lower the incidents of limb amputations.

I am fortunate that I heal quite nicely and do not have a problem with things like the skin cancer surgeries, I have one coming up on Nov. 3.  I am sure it can really be a problem for some.  This could be pretty important for them.

Like you Wally, I heal wounds quickly and with no problems, always have. My late DH. ended up having his leg amputated above the knee due to an injury to his foot he hid from me until it was to late to treat any other way. Yes, this method does look like it has great potential to help people in the healing prices and it is great to see them working on it.
