OK, 5792 steps yesterday.  My biggest hindrance right now seems to be time.  That is good in that my knee isn't stopping me from doing more so I just have to give myself a bit more time to take a break and walk.  I think that is a common occurrence.  We need to just take some time to do what is good for us.

Where is everyone??

A sprained ankle and then the weekend kept me away from the gym the past few days. I'm perfectly fine now and will be hitting the gym tonight for sure.

10,830 steps yesterday.

Yeah, Rocky, I knew you were out for an injury.  It just seemed like no one else was around either.

5814 steps yesterday.  I am just trying to get at least 5K each day and getting my 250+ steps/hour right now.  Still a lot of stuff to do to get the house in order.

10,599 steps yesterday. Feeling better with clearer air...though it is still unhealthy.

Wally and Grammabear, reporting not only motivates us, but maybe other members that don't feel their numbers/activity is enough to share. I feel anything we can do is worth reporting, we all have different ability levels.

Barb - Thank you for the words of encouragement.  Even though I don't post about my exercise, I do read the messages every day.  I feel sad for the fires you are having in your part of the country.  Air quality is important and it is sad that all those acres that are burning has made it hard for everyone.

10,109 steps yesterday.

Last night after it got dark, I could see the flames from the fire in the mountains behind my house.  Can't see anything in the daytime but smoke and lots of it!!

The Lolo Peak fire just North of me is at 37,844 acres burned and 32% contained.  Lots and lots of smoke today!

Thanks Barbara, I started my workout all over again. For Day 1, I accomplished about 50-60 % of my normal routine. Will build up from here.

I went ot the gym last evening, but was uncomfortable on the treadmill or elliptical. So I skipped those and stuck to the weights.

7806 steps yesterday so I was able to pick it up a bit.  Also I was able to manage a lot more without using a cane or knee brace and it felt good.  That is an improvement.
Rocky, weights are good.  I need to get back to using weights more.  I was doing well before the move and have slacked off.

An amazing 11,064 steps yesterday. Surprised myself.  Remember, I do all this walking inside my house.

Today was exhausting.  I was going to run errands early, but when I got into my car, the battery was dead!  :(  Had to wait 2 hours for AAA to get someone out to me.  He had some kind of fancy gadget that took about 5 minutes to charge up my battery. He said to go to Les Schwab or a tire store to have the battery checked.  I knew I needed new tires this year, before Winter so I ran my errands and then went there. It took 2+ hours and needing a new battery for it to be done.  Left $606 dollars poorer to go do my grocery shopping.  Lots of sitting at the tire shop so today may not be so good step wise. But I'll be road safe this Winter and no battery worries for a while.

The guy comes up to me and says my battery is basically on its last legs, do I want to look at the quote for a new one???  Sorry, but duh... if it is basically dead, I need a new one!!  Geesh!

Thankfully I was able to do my full workout last evening. The ankle did not pose any problem  at all.

5390 steps yesterday.  I'm not really happy walking a lot inside and it is just too hot to walk outside except very early in the morning.  Still, I can at least make at least 5K and sometimes more.  Hitting Walmart will bump the steps up quite a bit.   :D
Barbara, good steps, yeah, tires and the battery are two things I don't want to skimp on.  I would rather err on the side of caution than be stranded somewhere.
Rocky, good deal.  Glad the ankle is OK.

My routine of one hour is a mix of everything from Treadmill to weights and free exercises. While it's not very intense, it's good enough to keep a 59 year old fit. Today I accomplished almost 80% of that.

skb, fitness is what I'm after. If you're fit enough and keep up with your routine that's good enough I suppose. You can add a bit of road running and rowing to your routine and that's what I do. Though the latter are like once in two weeks.
