3,665 steps yesterday.

My rural mail carriers use their own vehicles. I do think they get some sort of stipend. I think it depends on the mileage... but far better than a govt vehicle with no ac!!

7962 steps yesterday.  I ran some errands and did some shopping yesterday and racked up over 3000 steps in two hours but when I hit 7K I figured good enough.

4,623 steps yesterday. Still rather be pain free than high step count.

Rocky hasn't been around for a while...hope all is OK with him.

In my foolish youth, I subscribed to the 'no pain no gain', premise - but now that I'm old, I realize pain is our bodys' way of telling something is wrong, and to STOP DOING whatever it is that hurts!

(and would one of you expert grammarians please tell me how to properly use 'bodys' in that sentence! I tried to figure it out & couldn't.)

skb

I would use body's to say what you are saying. Right or wrong, I don't know. But your sentence could be rephrased as

I realise that pain is the way our bodies tell us that something is wrong.

I looked it up & apparently the plural possessive should be bodies'.

7481 steps yesterday.  I think I am just getting lazy.  When I get to 7K I just back off now and consider that good.  Still, I am moving and that is the main thing.
If you are younger and working out to gain muscle "no pain, no gain" is valid because you have to tear down muscle to build it.  Nowadays you are right.  Pain is telling you something is wrong and you need to stop.

In my youth, I too was a no pain no gain believer... maybe some of that caused the later back and knee injuries I now suffer. Who knows? Now I know better than to push to get to pain. These ol bones and joints need all the tlc they can get!

7288 steps yesterday.  Just trying to stay above my 7K goal and considering that good.
I remember when I was younger you didn't work out or work until you felt pain.  You worked, sometimes for a long time, like chopping wood.  The pain came the next day.  Then it only lasted for a day and then you recovered.  As I got older it started to take two and then three days to recover.  Age does take it's toll.

3,992 steps yesterday. I still have my goal at 7,000 steps, but I don't stress if I don't make it.

9107 steps yesterday.  I was doing some yard clean up early in the morning and got to 7K sooner than usual so I just tried to make a min 300 steps each hour after that  usually around 500 steps, and ended up with this.  A lot better than I expected.
Yeah, I wonder where people go sometimes.  Haven't heard from Rocky or CCD for a while.  I know people are busy with life and having to work and take care of kids takes up a lot of time.  Just hope all is well.

6484 steps yesterday.  We were talking about naps the other day and yesterday I lied down about 1:00 PM "for just a minute" and woke up at 3:00 PM.  Missed my 7K for the day but I think I needed that.
