But a cat in your lap is guaranteed to bring all progress to a screeching halt!  ;D ;D ;D

True, but there is something so soothing/relaxing about having a cat purring in your lap. Both the exercise and the calm are good for one!

Mums are like that, aren't they?  ;)

10,302 steps yesterday.  I didn't expect that when the day started.  Upped my "goal" to 4500 steps/day, probably could make it 6,000 but I don't want to push it. I like to see the screen green for having reached my goal.

For the past few days I've increased my running speeds & I keep getting cramps in my thigh muscles, on & off, so today I've decide to just stick to the gym & some free exercises.

My total steps for the week of 9/12 to 9/18 was a total of 76,207 so I was over my goal of 70K steps for the week.  The Fitbit "challenge" of 42K steps for 4 days helped keep me going and I was able to do around 11K for 4 days and yesterday I was well over my weekly goal so I took it easy and kept it at about 8K for the day.
Barb, good plan, I have hurt myself by making my goal too high before and trying to do too much.  I think pushing to do more all of the time is good for younger people but when you get older it can be detrimental.

10,712 steps yesterday!

This app is a little squirrelly first thing in the morning. I just noticed it a couple of days ago.  The step * doesn't change sometimes for a good 200 steps.  Then all of a sudden it jumps but not as many steps as I have taken.  I've been counting and writing them down in the mornings.  It is like it has to wake up.  When I check how much it jumped vs the steps I counted, it is always short 100+ steps.  It may have been doing this all along, but I just noticed it a couple of days ago.  >:(

Last evening I took a bus from work, on my way back home. The Bus stop from where I board is 2.5 km away. Argus app tells me that I walked 5039 steps, which is way too many for 2.5 km. I think that walk should have taken between 3500-3800 steps. The rest would have been for the earlier part of the day.

10,749 steps yesterday.

Boy am I a creature of habit!!  The last 2 mornings I counted all my steps from when I first got up until I felt Stepz was "awake", usually after testing and having a cup of coffee or tea.  Yesterday I made 263 steps, this morning 264.  Sheesh!
