7456 steps yesterday.  Actually I am surprised to get that.  My printer died yesterday saying the print head needed to be replaced and I spent half the day trying all of the possible things to fix it with no luck.  A new print head is $120 so I ended up buying a new printer for $99.  Nowadays there is nothing worth repairing it seems.

Sadly Wally, that seems to be the truth.

I agree with you Barb about the printers and other things not being made to last.  My printer died last year and upon recommendation from an online friend, I purchased a new printer for about half of what my original printer cost.  It doesn't have bells and whistles but it does doa good job.

7701 steps yesterday.  I'm not really upset at having to replace my printer.  It was about 5 years old and nowadays that seems to be a long time for electronics.  I wanted to have one that printed on both sides of the paper and scans like my other one so I found one.  My old printer was a Canon and the new one is also but what I hate is that my stockpile of ink cartridges are now not used in any new printers.  I know they do thin on purpose and you have to buy new cartridges.  OEM cartridges can cost almost as much as a printer for a set.  Kind of like test strips for a glucose meter.

Wally is your broken printer a Cannon MG6620? I bought that model a few years ago, I believe on your recommendation. If so, I'd be happy to buy some/all of your stockpile of cartridges.  :)

Barbara, actually the MG6620 died and this was a MG7520 which is now discontinued.  They used the same cartridges though.  I found a new print head on Ebay for $29 so I am going to try that and if it works I'll be using them.  If not I will let you know.

Today, I brought this down to 7:25.
Sort of repeated this @ 7:27
I managed 7:25 again today.
7:13 minutes for the km, running for 800 mtrs @ 11.5 km/hr. Very happy. I will try to better it, but it's going to take time. I'll have to really stretch myself.

7:12 running @ 12 km/hr. Obviously needed to add a little bit of running. Will try again.

9255 steps yesterday.  I had more time to devote to walking yesterday and I felt OK so not bad.  I don't know about today but we will see.
Barbara, I wouldn't worry about your printer because of mine quitting.  I print a lot so I really give them a workout.  The new print head should get here today so I should know if it works.

Thanks Wally, I don't use mine very much at all any more since I stopped selling on ebay, several years ago.

6199 steps yesterday.  I put a lot of steps in shopping and then I was kind of hurting for the rest of the day.
Barbara, I got the new print head yesterday and installed it and surprise, it worked.  When I saw them for $129 on Amazon it wasn't worth trying but I found this one on Ebay and it is new and OEM, not a Chinese knock off.  Pretty easy to change.  Just take the ink cartridges out and lift out the tray and the print head is part of that.  Put the new one in and reinstall the ink and turn on and DA DA !!!!!  I guess I will be using the rest of the ink I have after all.

Wally, glad your print head worked out. Someday I may ask you again for how to replace it if mine dies...

Yeah Barbara, I wasn't sure it would work but I thought it was worth a try.  It wasn't hard to change but I found a couple of youtube videos that really helped.  It's amazing how many things you can find on youtube.
