My walking day is 10AM to Midnight. I don't go to bed until around 2AM and I do walk so that is the beginning of the next day, usually around 2,000 steps. So I am actually walking about 16 hours a day give/take a bit.

That is a whole heap of walking bigskygal.  Be safe.

Thanks, yeah it is and sometimes I want to quit, but I know it is keeping my healthy and since I don't have any  ~ cat ~  in lap anymore, I might as well walk. I definitely will slow down if anything starts to hurt, but so far so good.

Things will slow down a lot when I am in CA (lots of baby holding time) and again after my surgery but I'll get back on track when I am able again.

1932 stepz yesterday.  Not so many steps but consistently doing stepz every hour.  Having an eczema flare up on my legs/feet, so not as much movement as usual.

I was just looking at my Stepz app and noticed that on Tues the 28th I actually walked 19,100 steps.! I don't know where the number I posted for that day came from?? That is definitely my highest number yet!!

WOW!!  That is a LOT of stepz.  I noticed there have been more changes to the Stepz app.  Just when I thought I understood the old app, they go and change it up again.  :)

5975 steps, 74 min. and 12/12 hours yesterday.  That is a lot of steps Barbara.  My best day was 23,000 but that was about 3 years ago.  I'm pretty sure I won't see that again.  I stopped using the Stepz app a while back when they required me to pay for the app.  I found another app that also keeps track of total minutes walked and I use that with my Fitbit.  I like that because I always wanted to know how many min. I walked in a day.  Then AARP started a challenge to walk at least 30 min. a day every day for May and June and so far that has been a goal.

Wally, I don't pay for the Stepz ap. Maybe because  I never had the paid version originally.

I saw the following link in my Google newsfeed today.  At least parts of it are interesting.

5541 steps, 58 min. and11/12 hours yesterday.  I massed the 2:00 PM hour getting my steps.  Just got busy and didn't pay attention.
Thanks for the link Grammabear.  I had seen this study before and it's interesting how myths get started.  I think that 10K steps is an OK goal for a lot of people, it used to be for me, but the most important thing is to move during the day and the amount depends on what you are able to do.  I can't manage the same number of steps as I used to but I do think it is helpful to move each hour instead of sitting for long periods of time.
Barbara, I don't know why Stepz would not let me use the free version, maybe because, like you said, I had the paid app and it will not let me change.  Any way I am using another app that has the steps for each hour and the total min. walked and I like that.  All of the apps use the Apple sensor so they are just showing what it has recorded.  It is really just which ones display you like.
