Shanny, I think it is just the missing hair, not that he has lost a lot of weight.  He was a very fluffy boy, I think he is at least part Maine Coon. I did some research online before doing the cut and a lot of people reported their cats were kind of freaked out right after they were shaved.  In a few days they are fine again. He's already better today. I really didn't have much choice as he was terribly matted.

I had decided to take it easy today and sleep late. But I woke up early so I went to the park for a walk. Zoomba is not there for the weekends.

Rocky and skb,
Been there, done that and felt guilty as hell. But, now I'm back to my full routine and sometimes exceed it if I can. I've upped my routine to 1 hr treadmill + 30 min cycling. Sweat profusely and feel * good.  ;D

Bigskygal,

That's wonderful. I didn't go to the gym yesterday. Didn't feel like it. So I went road running instead. Must have walked /jog for like 5 kms.

Hello rocky,
I get a lot of inspiration from your posts in this thread, and from bigskygal & wally.
All of you nudged me to the zoomba class. I have benefitted immensely from that.
Thank you all.

I haven't been very good about posting recently but I'll try to improve that.  Last week I took it easy and didn't worry about goals and just walked but kept it down to 7-8K steps a day.  I meant to start back Monday at my 10K daily goal and came up short with only 9K but yesterday back to normal.  I think I might start the third Fitbit NYC challenge which, if I am able to, I will complete the 57,000 steps in 5 days.  That will be 11,400 each day.

@Sweety, the best reason to post here is to show people that it is possible and maybe help motivate others to join the action.  I know some are unable to do much because of physical problems but if you can it really helps your overall well being to get out and move.  I was very active when I was working and on my job usually walked over 5 miles a day and did other physical work but when I retired I pretty much sat on my but for the first two years and realized suddenly that I was doing myself harm.  I have been as active as I am able to do since then and I feel much better for it.  Glad you have joined the "group".   :D
