8154 steps, 1 hour 24 min. and 12/12 hours yesterday.  For some reason the pain I have been experiencing when getting up from laying down or sitting has become much less of an issue.  I am not sure why but I am certainly glad it has and hope it continues.  It does make walking less of an ordeal.

8362 steps, 1 hour 31 min. and 12/12 hours yesterday.  Still feeling better but I have to take it easy when first getting up in the morning and slowly get straightened up.  It seems that the best thing for me is to get to a straight posture and then walking seems to actually help.

9288 steps, 1 hour 38 min. and 12/12 hours yesterday.  I'm hoping to keep it up and so far this morning I am doing OK.  I read recently that a study has found that 4400 steps a day seems to be the goal to prevent problems.  Over 7500 steps seemed to not have any effect.  This was  study of older women, over 70, but may apply to anyone.  It's just one study but it is much more scientific then the "10,000 steps a day" that was started by a manufacture of pedometers.  I still have my goal set to 7K and anything over that I consider a plus.  I do think walking for a min of 250 steps each hour is helpful and a lot better than sitting for long periods.

Interesting Wally. I still have my goal set at 8,000 even though I am doing much more. My goal is at least 300 steps an hour but often am well over that. I am just walking as much as I can with no real end goal in mind.

7278 steps, 1 hour 21 min. and 12/12 hours.  I just made it a point to try and get at least 500 steps each hour and did manage that.

7278 steps, 1 hour 18 min. and 12/12 hours.  That is not a typo, I ended up with exactly the same number of steps as the day before.  The only difference was that I had 3 min. less total time.  Couldn't do this if I tried.

15,717 steps yesterday. 2 hours 38 mins walking time. I got up exceptionally early for me so had more time to walk. However since I got ups early, I went to bed last night early so didn't have the head start on my day I usually have.

10,284 steps yesterday, 1 hour 54 min. and 12/12 hours yesterday.  For me and my short legs that is equal to 4 miles or 6.44 KM.  It has been a long time for me to get to the 10K mark.  The main thing was the time I took to walk and I was able to get some hours with 1000K or better.  Not having to deal with the pain I had before so much really helps a lot too.

What did you do to get rid of the pain Wally? A supplement or did it just go away?

10,472 steps, 1 hour 47 min. and 12/12 hours.  Another decent day and at least now I am still able to manage pretty good as long as I dedicate the time.
Barbara, I really have done nothing different and I am not taking anything for any of the pain.  It is still there but not near as bad and I really have no idea why.  As long as I take the time after getting up to get straightened up I am not having any problem right now.  I still think it may be due to a pinched nerve or inflammation but that is just a guess on my part.

15,857 steps yesterday 2 hours 38 mins walking time. Another bad night of sleep/no sleep so  gout early again yesterday. More hours to walk, more steps. Took a Benadryl when I went to bed last night and slept better, got up at a more "normal' for me time.

Whatever caused, I'm glad you are feeling better Wally!
