10,446 steps yesterday.  I have a dentist appointment today but I don't think that will have any effect on my walking.

7761 steps yesterday.  I was doing just fine until around noon and then my back started to give me problems for some reason so I had to back off.  Seems fine this morning.

13,751 steps yesterday. My right knee started making an odd grinding sort of sound last evening. It doesn't hurt, but feels sort of like bone on bone...don't know what is going on there but am keeping a close eye on it.

Hope your back is OK Wally.

7896 steps yesterday.  My back is OK but I am feeling kind of blah so just trying to get steps in each hour and not too worried about total steps.
Barbara, I never had a grinding sound from my knee but my problem is from calcium build up.  I would think that bone on bone would hurt quite a bit.  My SIL had bone on bone and had knee replacement on both knees.  The good thing is that she is doing great and walks without any problem now.  Part of her problem is that she has always been overweight.

14,112 steps yesterday. Knee only acted up a couple of times and so far today is fine. It is hard to explain what it is doing. It is kind of a click/more like clunk every so often maybe the knee cap shifting? I just don't know, but as long as it doesn't hurt, I'll just keep an eye on it.

3757 steps yesterday.  Still feeling a bit blah and my muscles are sore so not really trying too hard.  I crashed for about two hours in the afternoon so I didn't even get steps in each hour but maybe a break will help.

12,297 steps yesterday. Shortly after I posted yesterday my knee started up again, not as much but I slowed down a bit. Today my left knee is aching a bit, probably because I was walking a bit differently the last couple of days. The result is I am slowing down today. I'll try for the 10,000 steps, but if I don't get there that's OK.

2572 steps yesterday.  My back decided to give me a bad time so i just decided to sit it out.  It hurt a lot when O got up this morning but the more I walk the better it seems.  I may have erred by not keeping going yesterday. I have managed to get 1000 steps for each of the first two hours so far so I may be good to go for the rest of the day.

11,029 steps yesterday.  As counter intuitive as it seems, at least to me, I have found that the best thing I can do when it hurts to walk is to walk.  Yesterday morning when I got up I could hardly make it to the bathroom but the more I walked the better it got.  My problem is with lower back pain and laying down or sitting for a long time causes it to get worse.  After I manage to walk for a bit it starts to go away and getting up and walking each hour helps also.  This morning I am doing fine and getting at least 1,000 steps each hour is not a problem.  Lessons learned I guess.

11,217 steps yesterday. Lots of driving and sitting waiting for the dr and all the tests so lost quite a bit of walking time.

I hear you Wally, I too find I can usually walk out aches and pains, but sometimes it is just better to rest more. It is a challenge to know the difference.

11,151 steps yesterday.  So far walking has been the best thing if I keep it up.  I am also paying more attention to good posture as I tend sometimes to slouch and put more strain on my back.

Now that is just weird Wally! About 1/2 hour ago I was walking down the hall and realized I was slouching and told myself to stand up straight!!

Yeah Barbara, I really notice it if I let myself slouch and my back lets me know about it.
