9,926 steps yesterday.

Flying to CA tomorrow.  From here to Seattle, several hours layover then to Oakland arriving around 5:30 pm.  Long day!

Hey Bigskygal - you were in my neck of the woods (Bay Area).  Hope your flights went smoothly.  And your daughter and her bride looked wonderful on their wedding day!

Rhiannon

I fell last Tuesday and hurt my right foot/ankle.  Fortunately, it's minor but I couldn't walk very well for several days.  Today, I walked for 10 minutes before work, a combination of regular walking and speed walking.  It was foggy and cool, and felt really good to be out and about.

7603 steps yesterday. Slowly recouping from the 5K on Sunday.

Rhiannon, glad to hear you are OK after your fall.

Rhiannon, hope you are much better now.
skb, yesterday gym was a mixed bag, but I have it in my mind to check the aerobic exercise at least once again. This time I'll be sure to check for a longer duration.

My shoulder / back pain lasted for more than 15 days. It is still not resolved. There is discomfort if I raise my left arm too high. I'm therefore off all weights and resistance exercise for now, but doing the treadmill (all sorts of permutations / combinations) and free exercises everyday.

I hope you'll see a doc soon if you haven't already. 2½ weeks is plenty long to wait for it to get better by itself.

@SKB, I had shoulder pain in both shoulders about 2 years ago, I could not lift my arms very high and had a hard time even dressing myself.  An MRI showed that both rotator cuff muscles were torn.  A cortisone injection relieved the pain quite a bit, still there but not nearly as bad.  It took almost a year to completely heal and for the last year I have no problem at all with my shoulders.  Apparently the only way to cure the problem is to do as little as possible to allow the muscle to heal and in my case it took quite a while.

9,947 steps yesterday.  Since I am going to my friend's for our Thanksgiving dinner tonight, I doubt I will get a lot of steps in today.

That is what I assumes is the cause for the pain (that was). Apart from pain relief there is little that can be done. I'm almost healed now. If it repeats, I will certainly go in for a scan.

Well, almost healed doesn't sound too bad.  Hope totally healed is soon.  I have not had a repeat since my episode and hope that I don't.   ;D

Stayed late at my friend's sitting around the table talking.  They just bought a motor home and are going to drive to CA for the Winter.  She used to be my PCP's nurse but retired this Spring.  She said, isn't this what you are supposed to do when you retire?  ;)

Her sister's hubby still wasn't feeling well so didn't come so it was just the 4 of us.
