8,767 steps yesterday, plus I shoveled snow for about 1/2 hour.

My shin is really bruised, but the cut is not so bad.

Did errands today so maybe will have a higher count today.

Doggone it, Barb!  :(   The last time I fell outside in the snow, it caused me to call off a Christmas trip to Colorado. All I could think as I was crawling up the driveway to get to something I could pull myself up on, was 'better my own driveway than somewhere halfway across Kansas.' Getting elderly/infirm is the absolute PITS!  >:(

I repeated this experiment today. Only partially though. I had thought of doing 5 walks at every hour but could do only 3 as after the 3rd I had a heavy brunch and then gave up. But this time my glycogen status is more in the desirable range, and my numbers were like this.

111 to begin with,
137 after 1st walk
115 after 2nd walk
104 after 3rd walk.

Had I continued, I would have dropped very nicely in keeping with my expectations.

4578 steps yesterday which is OK but I am trying more for strength training than quantity.  I am getting the ability to walk for a ways without any help from the cane and it gets a bit better as I go on.  It seems that the thing I need more is better strength in my right leg and this makes sense as I have used aids like the walker and cane to not have to put too much weight on my hip.  Walking without support shows me that my muscles have degenerated a bit but I am improving.

Went grocery shopping today and everything is moved around again!!  :(  However I was told the moves now are to their final spots. Two more weeks.  Phew!!

Now that I am addicted to the Epic Pork Pork, they are out of stock at the supplier.  I guess a lot of people like them.  I ordered tow bags of BBQ and 2 bags of Sea Salt & Pepper at Natural Grocers when I was in town on Monday. End of the month they expect to have them back in stock.

5274 steps yesterday.  I am walking without the cane as much as I can.  I feel it in my thigh muscles and I think that is good.  I can only do so much but the more I try the better it seems I can do. 
I don't think I will have any chance of finding Epic Pork anywhere around here, maybe when I get to the "big city" sometime.  I will put it on my list to look for then.
